Villainess X Villain: They are obsessed with each other!-Chapter 5 -: 4 The Shocking Secret of the Feared Villainess!
"From what I remember at the beginning of the novel...." Julius muttered to himself as he thought back to the start of the novel.
The Valentina clan and the Hayes clan had a long history of fighting each other.
They shared the same land on Athelgard, which was one of three floating continents.
These two big clans controlled most of it. Julius kept thinking as he slowly walked out of the room.
’It looks like she does not like me yet,’ he said in his mind.
But then Julius stopped his thoughts for a moment.
He tried to remember the past stories of Rosalina and Julius Augustus Hayes.
"From what I can recall, the author added Julius’s character because of me. In this world, he exists now, but the story was not written that way at first."
"I pushed the author to give Rosalina a happy ending with me. So the author tried to fix it, but it got a bit messy."
"He made it seem normal by saying they knew each other since they were kids. But here, she knows me, and she acts angry toward me."
Julius whispered these words as he walked to the academy grounds.
From the memories of this world’s Julius, it was clear they were not lovers.
They were more like rivals and enemies.
Julius felt a mix of confusion and hope as he kept walking.
He wondered how he could change things for the better.
"Haa..." Julius let out a long sigh as he stepped onto the academy grounds.
He looked up at the sky and murmured to himself, "Whatever happens, she can only be mine."
He repeated softly, "I will try again," then walked away into the distance.
Meanwhile, Rosalina stepped out of the academy building. The two girls walking behind her looked nervous and worried.
"Miss," one of them said quietly, "I think he was planning something to ruin your chances in the election."
The other girl nodded quickly. "I think so too. It was all his scheme. He proposed to you on purpose."
"He probably thought if you said yes, he would tell everyone and then humiliate you by saying he never really meant it."
Rosalina stayed silent. Her face was cold and hard.
She walked straight to a beautiful white carriage pulled by two pure white horses.
She stopped in front of the carriage and spoke in a flat, icy voice.
"I won’t be attending any more classes today. You two should go."
The girls froze. One of them tried to speak. "But Miss, you have a speech to deliver tod—"
Rosalina cut her off sharply. "I have no urge to do anything today. Now go."
The two girls looked at each other, clearly hesitant. But they didn’t argue anymore.
They stayed quiet and stood there.
Rosalina stepped into the carriage. She looked at the driver and said calmly, "You can go."
The driver nodded without a word. He flicked the reins, and the white horses started moving.
The carriage rolled away smoothly, carrying Rosalina into the distance while the two girls watched her leave in silence.
Inside the carriage, Rosalina sat quietly. She crossed her right leg over her left and leaned back against the soft seat.
She looked up at the ceiling of the carriage and murmured to herself, "Did he really propose to me?"
The cold, hard expression from earlier had disappeared from her face.
A small frown formed as she thought harder.
"Could it be one of his schemes?" she whispered.
But then she shook her head slowly. "No... he has never tried to trick me like that."
She remembered their past meetings. Most of them were short and quick.
Except for one time. Every time they met, they showed clear hostility toward each other.
They argued, glared, and never spoke kindly.
After all, they were not compatible at all.
"I have the Rose Petal Eyes," she murmured, "the only power that can counter his All-Seeing Eyes."
In the three floating continents, Rosalina Valentina and Julius Augustus Hayes were known as the greatest geniuses of their generation.
Their talent with mana was beyond imagination. But what scared people the most were their special eyes.
Rosalina’s Rose Petal Eyes could create powerful illusions that fooled almost anyone.
Julius had the All-Seeing Eyes, which could glimpse the future.
Both powers could be suppressed as long as the opponent was a bit strong.
But in the long history of the three continents, old stories said one thing clearly: if the holders of these two eyes mastered their power, they could even bend reality.
"Miss Valentina, we have arrived."
The sudden voice of the driver broke her thoughts. The carriage door opened, letting in bright sunlight.
Rosalina stepped out of the carriage.
In front of her stood a huge, elegant mansion with tall white pillars and wide windows.
She said nothing. With the same cold look on her face, she walked straight toward the main door.
The servants inside saw her and quickly bowed.
"Good afternoon, Miss Rosalina," they said one after another.
She did not answer. She kept walking past them without a glance, her steps fast and steady.
She reached her room at the end of the long hallway.
Creak.
She pushed the door open.
Thud.
She closed it hard behind her.
She stood still for a second. She looked around the whole room.
She sent her mana out to check every corner. She wanted to be sure no one was watching.
Her heart was beating very fast.
Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump!
Only when she was 100% sure the room was safe did she let her body relax.
The cold, hard face she always showed started to disappear.
She walked slowly to her bed.
"He really proposed to me?" she said in a soft voice.
Her voice sounded small now. Shy. Like a teenage girl in love.
Her cheeks turned warm and red. Her ears became bright pink.
She fell forward onto the bed. Face first into the soft pillow.
She buried her face deep.
Her heart kept racing faster and faster.
"Julius... he really said those words to me," she whispered into the pillow. "He wants me. Only me."
A tiny, happy smile grew on her lips.
She turned her head to the side. She hugged the pillow tight like it was him.
"I love you, Julius," she said quietly. "I love you so much. I’ve loved you for years. Every single day."
She closed her eyes. In her mind she saw his face again, his bright golden eyes looking straight at her. Honest. Warm. Full of her.
She suddenly sat up fast. Her eyes were shining with excitement.
"I need to see him right now," she said.
She flicked her fingers. In one second the boring white walls of her room changed.
All the normal furniture disappeared.
The room became an art gallery. Every wall was covered with paintings. Dozens and dozens of paintings.
Every single one showed only Julius.
She stared at the paintings with big, loving eyes.
"My Julius," she whispered. "All of these are mine. You are mine."
She stood up and walked closer to one painting, the newest one she made last week. She touched his painted cheek softly with her finger.
"You don’t know how much I waited for this day," she said in a low, serious voice.
Then her face became soft again. A big, dreamy smile appeared.
"He proposed... he really wants to be with me forever."
She spun around once like a happy girl.
"I have to draw him again. Right now. I need to draw how he looked when he said those words."
