[VRMMO] Chaos Doctor-Chapter 440 - 439 – Assault on holy crown – Part 2.

"IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE YOU HIT! ALL IT MATTERS THAT THE BARRIER END UP TAKING SOME DAMAGE!" – shouted the vampire general as tanks and golems unleashed their cannons, firing explosions that rained down on the Great Barrier.

"Common! We cannot let these fucking leaches outshine us!" – shouted the fire dragon as the dragon clans unleashed their elemental breath attacks that swallowed up the part of the Great Wall.

"Shit! Reinforce it! Reinforce the station!" – shouted panicking paladin.

"W-we are already doing it at the full power!" – shouted the priest that was in charge of operating lesser ritual crystal.

"Sir! The other lesser crystals are also unable to keep up with the damage!" – said the soldier.

"At this rate! One of our crystals will overheat!"

"Huh…. Say. How long they were firing at this barrier for?" – asked curios Maparapara.

"Well, I think for an hour and half?" – replied Hunter before then checking up the time.

"!"

"No wait. 2 hours. They were firing non stop at that barrier for over 2 hours."

"Huh….Okay…. So, a bullshit amount of attacks from cannons, dragons and all sort of spells was being shot at this thing…. But is still keep standing?!" – said confused Maparapra.

"Well, the one that is powering up the barrier is the holy emperor." – replied Phantasia.

"This is also their main point of power, so the barrier alongside the people inside are getting a huge buff in power…. Honestly speaking? If we didn't took down the holy cities, I don't think even after a full day of shooting we would be even able to create a crack."

"So…. How long we will have to stay like this?" – asked Maprapra.

"I mean, I can tell that you are planning on going all out." – said Maparapara as she started right behind her, noticing an extremely large number of the monster toys, undeads, chimeras, golems and elementals, straight up forming a large army.

"Jeez…. So did you brough out every single bloody monster you could muster?" – asked Hunter.

"Well, we are meant to go overkill in order to make sure that there won't be any survivors and to make sure that the faith in heaves is completely destroyed."

"And you do remember your own task, right Thanatos?"

"Yea, I know what to do." – replied Hunter.

"Good…. Then let's wait few more moments." – said Phantasia.

"Since it is just a matter of time before these bastards last line of defense will collapse."

"SIR! THE LESSER RITUAL CRYSTAL IS ALREADY OVERHEATING!" – shouted panicking priest.

"AT THIS RATE WE WILL-"

Before the priest could finish speaking, the giant floating crystal behind him ended up shattering to pieces.

"Oh, speak of the devil." – said Phantasia as he instantly spotted the barrier visible acting up in weird way.

And it wasn't just one side of the barrier.

One by one, the lesser ritual crystals could no longer keep up with the repairs and ended up shattering, until the very last lesser ritual crystal ended up being destroyed.

Without possessing ability to self-repair obtained from the lesser ritual crystals, the Great Barrier surface ended up slowly shattering…. And before long, massive cracks started emerging.

"Common! Common!" – the holy emperor tried pouring all of his holy power into the main ritual crystal, trying to keep the barrier alive... But unfortunately, the barrier finally reached its limit as the defensive dome that protected the capital city ended up shattering right in front of ever bodies eyes.

"CHARGE!" – and without even wasting a moment, the forces of organization unleashed hell on the city.

Sphere of magic, explosive bombardment, breaths of dragons and many more rained down on the defenders, straight up obliviating a good chunk of them from the get go, while the main force of organization ran straight towards the city.

"KEEP THE LINE! FOCUS ON DEPLOYING THE BARRIERS TO DEFEND YOUR ALLIES!" – shouted Daughter Of Justice.

"ENEMY WILL SOON REACH THE CITY WALLS! GET READY!"

Holy artefacts.

In his desperation, the holy emperor allowed the holy vault to be opened up, allowing the elites of the holy empire to arms themselves with the most powerful items and artefacts that the empire posse at the time.

But it was not enough.

True, the holy city was still empowering the soldiers of the holy empire…. But they were still humans.

And despair isn't something they are immune to.

The forces of the organization broke through the walls and entered the city…. And from the get go, the capital forces were getting destroyed.

The sheer amount of enemies that were pouring in from all directions was straight up way too much for the soldiers…. Not only that, the shattering of the Great Barrier ended up filling up people with despair, realizing that there was no way of stopping the enemy.

Still, the elites of the holy empire were able to stand their ground, slaughtering the unholy abominations and mechanical monstrosities left and right.

"KEEP YOUR HEADS-UP YOU FOOLS!" – shouted the high paladin as he swung down his sword, unleashing a wave of holy light that vaporized the vampires instantly.

"THE ENEMY ISN'T AS STRONG AS YOU THINK! THEY ARE ONLY TRYING TO GET INTO YOUR HEADS!"

"YOU HEAR ME!?"

"THEY ARE LYING TO YOU!"

"THE MOMENT YOU FALTER, YOU DIE!"

"YOU HEAR ME!?"

"Then you better not falter, mate!" – said Phantasia who somehow appeared right behind the paladins, without him realizing.

"!"

The paladin swung his sword behind him, unleashing a wave of blinding light…. Which was easily countered by the abomination player that just held his blade in place with his hand.

"…What?" – said the terrified paladin before then getting punched right in the face and sent flying right across the battlefield.

"…"

"So, are you coming, or not?" – asked Phantasia as he stared at the terrified soldiers.

"!"

"GET HIM!" – shouted the soldier as in their desperation, the defenders tried attacking the Doctor.

"Wrong choice." – said Phantasia as he transformed into his second form, instantly destroying the light in the soldiers' eyes.

"You should had run when you had a chance." – said Phantasia before then unleashing a hail of bullets and spells at the soldiers, instantly shredding the soldiers on spot.

"STOP IT!" – shouted the paladin from before as he tried rescuing the soldiers by unleashing his ultimate, firing off a ray of light…. Which was easily blocked by the metallic monstrosity that just stood in place, completely unbothered.

"Piss off." – said Phantasia.

"You fucking nobody."

"Holy fucking shit." – said Coin who was hiding on the top of the building and using spyglass to observe as the entire streets were being filled with chaos as monsters and soldiers ducked it out, while the unluckily civilians were getting hunted down in crossfire.

(Fuck me…. She was right.)

(That emperor is really using the citizens as the meat shields?!)

(I mean, I know their victory condition is to just stall enemy long enough, but this ain't working!)

(Hell! The entire city is getting fucked bombarded! At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they just throw a goddamned nuke on top of it all!) – thought Coin as she quickly hid in then shadows, before then entering the building that was right underneath her.

"Yea…. The entire city is good as dead." – said Coin as she regrouped with her guild that was has gathered inside.

"Honestly, there is no fucking way the holy empire will be able to stall them long enough to win this fight."

"Then we need to get out before they do win." – said Arthur.

"We are also the enemies with organization right now…. And they will also want her."

"…Speaking about her…. How much time we have left?" – asked Mara.

"Few hours." – replied Arthur.

"We need to get out of the city before the sun falls, or the seal will come completely loose."

"QUICKLTY! THE NORTHEN POST FALLEN! WE NEED TO RETAKE IT BEFORE MORE ENEMIES SHOW UP!" – shouted the high paladin as a large number of soldiers ran through the city.

"Okay. Go." – said Coin as one by one, the members of the Arthur's guild ended up jumping down through the window.

"Now where?" – asked Coin.

"Using main entrances is out of the questions. Since most of the actions is happening in there… We need to take the hidden paths if we want to leave this god forsaken place." – said Morina.

"This way."

"Wait! Isn't this direction where these soldiers ran to?!" – asked alarmed Mordred.

"Yes! And unfortunately for us! It is also the closest location to the hidden path we can use to get out of this place!" – replied Morina as she instantly started running.

"Now move it!"

"….I hope you are right about this." – said Mordred as the entire guild ran behind Morina.

"Hey! Who-" – while running, the party ended up coming across the group of the holy knights, whom they ended up attacking and killing without hesitation in the heat of moment.

"Fuck! Hey! Hold it! Fucking hold the line! We can't keep them let further!" – said the high paladin as he and several soldiers were engaging in the fight with organization forces.

"!"

"Shit! They are already this deep inside the city?!" – said Morina as she stopped in tracks, realizing that the path she wanted to take was blocked off.

"This way!" – said Morina as the party fallowed right behind the saint, entering the alleyway.

"….You sure this is good idea? Maybe we should get out of this area and go for the different hidden path?!" – asked nervous Stone who was carrying the Daughter Of Mercy in the bag.

"Yea! Good idea! When the fucking... Wait." – said Morina as she turned towards Stone.

"Stone…. Where is she?" - said Morina with grim expression as everybody turned towards the tall man.

"?"

"Wh-"

"!?"

The man realized that something was off…. He was no longer holding anything in his arm…. And when checked looked, he realized that the bag that he was just carrying which contained the Daughter Of Mercy was completely gone.

"….Ah…."

"WHERE THE FUCK IS SHE?!" – shouted Morina.

"I-I was just holding her?!" – said panicking Stone as he looked around, trying to find bag that contained the little girl.

"HOW?! YOU WERE FUCKING HOLDING HER! HOW THE FUCK DID YOU LOST HER?!" – shouted panicking Mordred at the confused tank.

"!"

"[Tale Of Sun: Blade]!" – while the party was looking in desperation for the little girl, Morina suddenly activated her skill and manifested a blade of divine fire, before then launching it at the wall and blowing it up.

"…"

"Heh…. Hi bitch." – said Morina as she cracked a nervous smile while the smoke from explosion settled down, revealing Hunter standing right in the middle of the road.

"!"

"The bastard has the bag!" – shouted panicking Mara as she and the entire party realized that the vampire girl was the one in possession of the bag that contained the little girl.

"Get her!" – shouted Mordred as the entire party was about to unleash their attacks at the assassin.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." – said Hunter as she held up the bag right in front of her, while putting her scythe right in front of it, instantly alarming the whole group and stopping them in their tracks.

"…."

"Now…."

"Are you willing to hold a conversation with me?"
