"These bastards still didn't caught Arthur and his party…. And that means that the Daughter Of Mercy is still out of commission."

"Why are you saying it like that? Couldn't you had confirmed it with your informant?" – asked "Kid".

"He died." – replied Phantasia.

"Apparently, the holy empire got enough desperate in their search to straight up do random arrest or even straight up kill people who just tried running or resisting it."

"The informant I've told you about was one of the victims. He was with the holy faction, but not necessary with the holy empire and that enough made him a target."

"Huh…. These bastards really had gone mad, haven't they?" – said "Kid".

(I guess the organization is dead set on eliminating the holy empire at all cost as well.)

[Meanwhile: Holy castle.]

"You incompetent buffoons!" - shouted holy emperor.

"Days! I FUCKING GAVE YOU ALL DAYS! BUT NOTHING?!"

"I've even allowed you to raid homes of our citizens, but you couldn't find them?! How!?"

"S-sir! We looked everywhere! Unless-"

"SILENCE!" – shouted the holy emperor, unleashing a ginormous wave of holy light that burned to death several people all at once that were in charge of searching, including also some holy knights that were just standing nearby who straight up had nothing to do with it.

"!?"

"D-did…. Did he just killed them?!" – said terrified holy knight as all people gathered in the throne room started whispering amongst themselves, which only ended up pissing off the holy emperor even more as he glared at everybody, instantly shutting everybody up out of fear.

"Shit! Useless pieces of shit!" – said holy emperor before moments later somebody barged right into the throne room.

"Y-your holiness!" – shouted the messenger.

"The organization forces are approaching the from all directions! They are about to begin the siege!"

"Daughter Of Justice and Son Of Will are already in positions and are awaiting your orders!"

"!"

(Shit! Right! Enemy!) – thought the holy emperor as he somewhat snapped back to his original self.

"Are the ritual preparations finished?" – asked holy emperor.

"N-no…. Because enemy ended up destroying all four holy cities, our connections with heavens has ended up becoming unstable." – said the young saint.

"Mass summoning of angels will take noticeable longer amount of time."

"Then…. What about the anti-air weapons? Are they finished?" – asked the emperor.

"No…. They are not." – replied the muscular man.

"The anti-air weapons that we have do posses power but not enough range."

"We need to improve their design further-"

"THEN USE WHAT YOU HAVE NOW! IT IS BETTER THAN FUCKING NOTHING, GOT IT?!" – shouted the emperor in annoyance, alarming everybody in the room, expecting another outburst of rage.

"Just! Take out anything we have! Anything we have!"

"In my name, I'm giving a full authorization to use the entire holy vault!"

"All artefacts! Items! Anything we have!"

"You are allowed to use anything we have in order to win this battle!"

"Remember! Enemy object is to destroy us as soon as possible!"

"As long as we stall enemy long enough, we will win this fight, got it?!"

The holy empire was not ready.

Not only they had not came up with a good enough of a counter to deal with vampires advance weapons, but they are also missing one of their most important figures, the Daughter Of Mercy.

Fear and despair was already spreading throughout the whole city, even before the enemy showed themselves…. Honestly, things were not looking great for them one bit.

On the other hand? The organization was almost at their peak.

True, they were bit tired since they were made to order non stop after conquering the previous holy city, but at the same time, they also received additional reinforcement from the organization itself.

To make matters worse, the entire invasion force gathered in that one specific spot in order to make sure that nobody would survive the onslaught.

"…"

"Well then, lets the slaughter begin!" – said "Kid".

They didn't offered surrender or even proposed a compromise.

The organization just unleashed their hordes of monsters and machines at the city as the people outside watched.

Obviously, the people that had gathered right outside the barrier begged to be let in…. But the holy emperor didn't let anybody in… And instead had made the people inside just watch as the people on the other side of the barrier were just torn apart by the explosions.

The soldiers that were right outside didn't even lasted few minutes; they were instantly annihilated as if they had never exited in the first place.

And with that, the organization began their assault on the capital city of the holy empire.
