Warhammer Divine Throne-Chapter 695 - 310, Nanzi Grand Battle (Part 2)_2
You cannot retreat, not under any circumstances! At this moment, the fate of the battlefield hangs in the balance; if Dalheid makes a move, the Knight Army might collapse instantly!
"Take everyone around me and support Baron Ede!" Dalheid's eyes were red as he spoke to his son, Aldred.
"But..." Aldred hesitated.
"Hurry! Stop those Barbarians!!" Dalheid knew that war decisions must be made instantaneously. He almost roared at his son, spraying saliva onto Aldred's face.
"Got it!" Aldred gritted his teeth and led the last reserve force to resist Egil's attack.
At this moment, Egil had already led the Crimson Guard to a position less than a hundred meters from Dalheid. Khorne's Divine Chosen Champion was calmly pulling the Hell Battleaxe out of Baron Ede's corpse. The forces protecting Dalheid were fragmented, but the remaining knights and soldiers continued to fight desperately. No matter what, they could not allow Egil to approach the Duke!
Khorne's Divine Chosen Champion swung his battleaxe, whipping up the Death Wind. The axes he wielded sliced through the knights, separating armor and flesh, then severing them. In merely two breaths, Egil had decapitated dozens.
The knights and soldiers fighting back retreated step by step, their eyes filled with fear. On Egil's body, they seemed to see the figure of a Great Demon. That Demon sat on a massive skull throne, overlooking the living beings. A death gale swirled around him, turning everything to scorched earth wherever it passed.
Several of the Kingdom Knights from the Legendary Tier fought Egil one after another, but all were beheaded by him. Flowing blood and falling heads,
This was Egil's power.
"Charge! You must kill the Duke, Dalheid! You coward, weakling, come and meet your death!" Egil saw more knights and Knight's Squires rush onto the battlefield. This final reserve force changed the tide of the battle as soon as it appeared. Even the Chaos Chosen Warriors of the Crimson Guard were temporarily prevented from advancing any further.
Yet at this moment, Aldred, who had already charged to Egil's front, did something that changed the entire battle. The Duke's son fiercely thrust his Cavalry Lance towards Khorne's Divine Chosen Champion as he passed by Egil.
Egil was not struck by the Cavalry Lance; instead, his Chaos Steel Bull bore the hit for its master. Aldred's desperate strike pierced the Chaos Steel Bull's rear, and pain drove the bull into a mad run. It broke through the knights' lines, charging directly toward Dalheid's position.
This was precisely what Egil wanted.
Dalheid's face was stern; the Duke had already seen Egil charging at him, covered in blood red, wielding twin axes. The King of Skalings carried a terrifying power. He was like magma erupting from a volcano, and every step of the Doomsday Steel Bull on the snow carved a deep pit. Egil's pale eyes burst with a blood-red glow.
"Charge!" Dalheid, already a veteran of battlefields, realized he must meet the challenge. He spurred his warhorse into action. The Pure-blooded Elf Warhorse neighed loudly, then began pounding its hooves, initiating a charge towards Egil.
"Dalheid of Leonais, surrender to me at once! Otherwise, I'll destroy you completely with blood and shadows!" Egil raised his battleaxe, issuing a cold warning to the Duke riding atop his warhorse.
This call to surrender was essentially meaningless, as whether or not you surrendered, the result would still be slaughter. Egil merely wanted to relish the sight of Southern People begging for mercy.
"Hmph! I will personally seek retribution for the pain you've inflicted on Leonais!" Dalheid's face was filled with hatred—a hatred rooted deep in his bones. Egil had rampaged across his Duchy, and the Duke's Courtiers made the most conservative estimate, knowing the Barbarians had slaughtered no less than a hundred thousand people.
This loss might take ten years or even longer to recover.
How could Dalheid not grit his teeth in hatred toward Egil? 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
"Face the judgment from the Lady, Chaos scum!" Dalheid was a High-Tier Kingdom Knight; his courage was still abundant, and even entering middle age, the Duke had never ceased practicing his martial skills.
If he could kill Egil here, the war would turn against all odds! Dalheid's body emanated powerful fighting intent.
Warhorses clashed, the sound of metal ringing throughout the battlefield. The tremendous force unleashed from Egil shattered Dalheid's last shred of hope. The Duke nearly dropped his Cavalry Lance; if it weren't for decades of combat experience, Dalheid would have almost fallen off his horse.
Dalheid's right hand was sore and painful; he grasped the Cavalry Lance tightly, trying to turn around, only to find Egil had already reached behind him!
The Duke's eyes were bloodshot as he hastily raised his shield to fend off Egil's Hell Battleaxe.
"Bang!" The Kite Shield made of Brittania Secret Silver completed its final mission by protecting the Duke one last time before being shattered by the battleaxe. Dalheid felt an unparalleled force transmit from his arm, his left arm throbbing with piercing pain. The Duke of Leonais knew he had fractured his bones.
