Jiang Yu Ning’s chin dropped the moment that she heard this.

When Gao Fu Shuai saw this, there was a blush that came over his cheeks as he shook his head and said, "No, what was I thinking, how could that be true?"

He looked like he wanted to run, but he also realized that there was nowhere for him to run.

The moment that Jiang Yu Ning heard him say this, she quickly grabbed his arm and asked, "Why are you suddenly asking this?"

There was a trace of hope that was in her voice as she said this.

With the way that he kept rambling, it was almost as if even he wasn’t certain what he was saying.

In the end, it was Jiang Yu Ning who stopped him by grabbing him by the other arm and turning him so that he was looking right at her. As she looked at him, she said, "Calm down and tell me what you want to say."

It took all of her restraint to stop herself from shouting at him, but she was able to calm down in the end.

After making sure that there was nothing wrong with his ears, Gao Fu Shuai had to ask, "When did you start feeling this way? There shouldn’t be anything special about me that would make you..."

"No, that’s not true." Jiang Yu Ning said in a firm voice, cutting Gao Fu Shuai off.

Then to his shock, she said, "It was when you saved me, when you stood there in front of me to protect me...I just couldn’t help falling for you. Then after that, I learned that there were many other things special about you that just made me fall deeper in love." She went on to list all the different things that she liked about him.

Since it was all coming out, it came out like a tide.

Gao Fu Shuai just stood there in a daze listening to it all, but the blush on his face made it clear that he was feeling embarrassed at being praised like this.

When it was all over, Jiang Yu Ning just simply said with a red face, "That’s why I like you."

Gao Fu Shuai didn’t say a single thing as he stood there in a daze.

But then his expression changed to one that was filled with guilt as he said, "No, we can’t do this..."

A trace of pain appeared on Jiang Yu Ning’s face when she heard this before she asked, "Why? Do you not like me?"

Gao Fu Shuai quickly shook his head before saying, "It’s not that, it’s this wedding. I can’t make you go through with this, it would be wrong. I have to stop this wedding."

Right after he said this, he turned from Jiang Yu Ning and was about to say something to everyone, but she stopped him by grabbing his arm and saying, "Are you sure? This is an important matter for your family, you know how unlikely it will be that you’ll see them again if you follow the young master..."

Gao Fu Shuai still said in a firm voice, "But I can’t do this to you."

Jiang Yu Ning didn’t ask him what he meant by this since she already knew what he was thinking by the look in his eyes.

He just couldn’t let her go through with this false marriage since it was wronging her too much.

As Gao Fu Shuai looked at her with a shocked look, she said, "I’m fine, there’s nothing wrong about this."

I just ignored them as I walked out of the wedding venue, but when I came back, there were some more people that came with me.

"How could I miss my daughter’s wedding?" Jiang Yu Ning’s mother said with a smile on her face before turning to me to bow her head. I stopped her before she could bow, but she still said, "Young master, thank you for looking out for my little girl."

I just waved my hand as I said, "It’s what I should do."

I turned back to look at Gao Fu Shuai and Jiang Yu Ning with a knowing smile on my face, as if I was saying that I had seen through them completely.
