Wasting Money to Become an Immortal-Chapter 444: Compete? (1)
Mu Bao Bao didn’t even bother with this person as she moved right behind me after sending that person flying.
The way that she looked at me after she went behind me was as if she was asking...
"Please deal with this person."
It seemed that this person really was not someone that she could deal with and she was throwing all of this to me.
Though I didn’t understand why she did this at first.
It was only when the handsome young master spoke that I understood why she left this matter to me.
"Who are you and what are you to my Bao Bao? Don’t you know who I am? I am the number one prodigal young master of this capital city, I am the young master of the Yu Family! There is none who is a greater prodigal than me, so if you want to keep your life, move away from my woman!" The handsome young man said in an arrogant voice.
My lips couldn’t help twitching when I saw him say this.
Someone was declaring themselves the number one prodigal in front of me?
The only reason that they would ever be able to do that was because they had never met me before.
But now that I was here, I certainly wasn’t going to let him go around claiming that he was the number one prodigal.
After all, that was a title that belonged to me!
That was also most likely why Mu Bao Bao wanted me to deal with this.
A prodigal to deal with a prodigal, that was the best way to take care of this matter.
"You call yourself a prodigal?" I asked in a calm voice.
The handsome young man who called himself Young Master Yu was taken aback when he heard this, but then he said in a confident voice, "Who could be called a prodigal if not for me? I’m determined to help my parents spend all their hard earned money, or else it will all go to waste! With this kind of motto, who else could be considered a prodigal but me?"
I couldn’t help finding this a bit funny since this Young Master Yu’s motto was actually quite similar to mine.
Though mine was a bit different in terms of phrasing.
Still, it seemed like he wasn’t considered a normal prodigal if he had this kind of mindset and that was what interested me. It made me feel a bit of kinship with this person, so I didn’t plan on taking care of him the same way as I was planning before.
Instead, I just simply said, "If you call yourself a prodigal, then you don’t mind competing do you?"
Young Master Yu was once again taken aback by this suggestion, but then he asked, "What do you mean by that?"
A faint smile appeared on my lips before I said, "What else could I mean by that? If you consider yourself a prodigal, then there’s only one way to compete."
After saying this, I looked around the room before saying, "Since we’re already in this store, there are plenty of things for us to use to compete."
Young Master Yu slightly knitted his brows as if he was worried about something, but that look disappeared from his face when he heard what I said.
"Are you scared?"
"Me? Scared? Who do you think you are?" Young Master Yu immediately blew his fuse when he heard this before saying, "Let’s compete! I’ll show you who’s scared!"
He was easily baited into competing, so perhaps it seemed like he wasn’t as smart as I thought he would be.
Still, since he was raring to go, then it was time to start it.
I pointed at something random and asked, "How much does that cost?"
The manager was taken aback since she hadn’t been able to react to how things had developed. But she quickly came back to her senses and said, "That is a special artifact called the Map of the Mountain and River. It’s a spatial artifact that has an area of three hundred million kilometers inside that can hold anything you want. It could even be said that there’s an entire other world inside..."
Before she could finish her description, I cut her off by saying, "I’m not telling you to introduce this thing to me, I’m asking you what the price is."
The manager had an awkward look on her face when she heard this.
It was honestly her first time dealing with customers like this, so she really didn’t know how to react. But with her professional training and experience, she was able to quickly adapt in the end.
"Young master, this is a special artifact that costs one high grade spirit jade."
She wasn’t worried when she said this since she had just seen this young master throw out ten high grade spirit jade like it was nothing.
Instead, she started feeling a bit expectant of how the price would rise between these two young masters.
I didn’t say a thing as I waited for Young Master Yu to give a price first.
It didn’t seem like he was planning on giving a price either as he narrowed his eyes to look at me.
But in the end, he was the one that lost patience first as he said, "Two high grade spirit jades."
The way that he said this was as if he was confident in himself.
Though it wasn’t as if this confidence wasn’t without reason.
A high grade spirit jade was already rare enough in this Nine Tails Empire, it was not an amount that just anybody could afford. Even those that were considered rich would hesitate to throw out a high grade spirit jade. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
He had even directly doubled the price, which he felt satisfied with.
But there was no one else that was impressed with this since they knew what he didn’t know.
"Twenty high grade spirit jades."
My words were like a bucket of cold water that fell on Young Master Yu as soon as I said this.
His eyes quickly filled with disbelief as he looked at me before he turned to the manager as if he was making a complaint.
Only the manager acted like she didn’t see anything.
