What Do You Mean I Have To Comprehend Dao As A Mortal God?-Chapter 105: There’s A Production Line In Here

I returned to the chalet, only to find out from Leena that Olivia had returned to the mainland just now while I was speaking to Maylene.

That’s unfortunate...

Oh well, not like I was in a rush anyway... I was just thinking that I don’t really have anything to do here since my whole purpose of being here was to just move the rocks away and I’ve already accomplished that.

My Guardians have taken up shifts to patrol the rift to make sure the Bunarfs were safe and I could, of course, join them as well, but I wasn’t really expected to do so.

Thus, I decided to just join the next person who would be going into the rift to patrol which happened to be Jia Lian.

I waited for her to do a final check on her equipment before we stepped out of the chalet for me to teleport us there.

"Umm... Thank you, Mortal God."

I raised an eyebrow at her, "For what?"

"I mean... It feels a little too much for me to be accompanied by you for something as simple as this."

I materialised the door and ushered her through it, "Make no mistake. I’m also going there for my own purposes."

She stepped through ahead of me without hesitation, "Oh! You’re planning to meditate there to cultivate, are you? I understand. You can leave your protection to me!"

"No need. I’ll be meditating at the mining area so that should be a safe zone, you can just do your thing."

She turned to me as I stepped through the teleportation door, "I’m sorry, Mortal God... But Miss Olivia’s instructions were quite clear... We cannot let you move around alone anymore... Especially when we’re inside a rift..."

Ugh... This is because of that time I fought alone wasn’t it?

Just as I was thinking about scrapping my idea of meditating in the rift, Jia Lian gave me a sincere smile.

"There’s no need to worry, Mortal God. Ava should be inside the rift right now so we can ask her to watch over you while I take over her patrol. That should be fine, right?"

"I suppose that will work."

As we got near to the portal, I realised there were several conveyor belts leading out of it where it extended all the way in the direction of where the Bunarfs were building the tower.

These conveyor belts were definitely not here when I was here yesterday... Which means they had set this up literally right after I left.

Being transported on the conveyor belts were the refined pieces of ore that had been made into different building materials including metal poles, screws, nuts and bolts and other materials I did not recognise.

Wait... If these were refined materials that were being transported out... That means they’ve set up a production line inside the rift itself?

I jumped through the portal with Jia Lian following behind me and I was met with a completely different sight as compared to yesterday.

Before this, the cavern was empty aside from some pieces of trash that had been left behind and dumped in the corner. Now... The entire cavern was filled with machines that were refining the ores and producing different materials out of them.

Most of them were automated but there were still a few Bunarfs manning some of the machines, all of them using said machines to craft individual materials.

They had this production line set up in a single day?

I mean... I’ve already seen them finish building a quarter of an entire building in a day so I shouldn’t be surprised but... I still can’t get used to it yet.

A blue haired Bunarf suddenly appeared beside me.

"Mor... Ahem... Qing?" Inies greeted.

She’s calling me by my name since I’ve opted not to wear a mask for this ’patrol’ for now so I wasn’t in my role of being the Mortal God.

I waved at the blue haired designer of the sisters, "Hello Inies. Did you set all of this up in a day? Last I remembered, this place was completely empty..."

"Not at all, Qing. We only needed about an hour to set everything up here."

I blinked at her, "What? Wait... You’re not kidding right? You girls managed to finish setting all of this up within just an hour?"

Inies nodded, "That’s right. I understand your surprise but most of the machines you see here are actually already made and stored away when we had to flee our colony. So we really only needed to just move them into position and have Maylene turn them back into their original size.

Hmm... I suppose that might explain some of the things here but... That still doesn’t change the fact that they’ve done all this in just an hour. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

Not only did they have to arrange the machines to fit inside this cavern, they would still have to connect everything together to form the production line within that hour, something that I’m pretty sure would take longer than a day for everyone else to achieve.

I guess I should really just accept the fact that the Bunarfs are going to break all the norms in this part of the industry.

I told Inies to keep up the good work as Jia Lian and I made our way towards the deeper parts of the tunnels, following the trail of conveyor belts that stretched towards the chasm.

Ava was waiting for us at the top of the chasm, the elf standing there in her full mage robes with her oversized hat and staff.

She perked up when she saw the both of us approaching her.

"Oh? My, my~ Is this a date I’m seeing?" Ava asked, giving the both of us a knowing smile.

I expected Jia Lian to deny it immediately but she just looked at me in a panic while blushing up to her ears.

Why are you even blushing? Just tell her the truth?

"No. Jia Lian is here to relieve you. I’m here to meditate but, as per Olivia’s instructions, I’m not allowed to enter here alone so..."

"Ah, you’re hoping that I could accompany you in place of her while you meditate here?"

"If you don’t mind?" I asked.

The elf giggled, "Ufufufu~ Of course I don’t mind, my Divine. I’m more curious if Miss Jia Lian here would rather be the one to accompany you instead?"

Jia Lian poked her fingers together, "Ah... N... No... Umm... I need to fulfill my duty... Umm... It’s ok... Please take care of Mortal God, Miss Avatasia..."

Without waiting for a reply, the girl quickly ran off to start her patrol, leaving me alone with Ava.

"Ufufufu~ The young ones are such fun to tease, don’t you think so, my Divine?"

"I didn’t know you had such a side," I commented.

The elf mage moved over to me, her towering frame overshadowing mine as she moved to hug me from behind.

"Fufufu~ I suppose there’s a lot of things about me that I have yet to reveal to you, my Divine. But there’s plenty of time for the both of us to figure that out, right?"

Right... I need to keep reminding myself that Ava here isn’t a prim and proper elf but an ero elf instead...

I decided not to answer and simply picked the taller woman up in my arms, making her let out a cute squeak before I moved to the edge of the chasm.

She didn’t protest and merely held on to me before I jumped off the ledge, the both of us falling down towards the bottom of the chasm.

I then activated Kri’s ability and slowed our descent by manipulating our gravity, touching down on the floor without a sound.

"Hmm~ It seems like you are getting much better at using our abilities, my Divine."

"You can tell?"

"I have been watching you closely the entire time, my Divine."

"Hmm... I’m still not sure what ability I got from you though? Like... What is your ability specifically?"

"Ufufufu~ I believe you have already been using it subconsciously, my Divine. One of the powers I awakened is the ability to sense and manipulate mana which I believe is what you are using to sense this life energy of yours, my Divine~"

"Oh? Does it work like that?"

She shrugged, showing no signs of wanting to leave my arms and continued to cling onto me, "I can not be sure, my Divine. After all, this ability of yours is a mystery to me as well. Perhaps it might not even be tied to mine but just something you awakened on your own~ Who knows? We might just need to fill that page with my picture with even more colour to be sure~"

I blinked at her, "Are you suggesting..."

"That we find a place around here where you can make love to me again? Ufufufu~ Of course~"

I knew it... she really is an ero elf...
