What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?-Chapter 494: Another Group To Loot
Loot~ Loot~ Loot~ After you kill some people, it's time to loot their bodies~
I shook the pistol out of the dead thug's hands and switched on the safety before I added it to the pile of guns that I was carrying in my arms.
Honestly, the guns the thugs were using were rather trashy and cheap but well… Credits are Credits so we're not going to be picky about this.
What's more, in stations like this where the people are literally relying on weapons to make sure they don't get killed or robbed without some way of fighting back, it's pretty easy to find buyers for this even if they were pretty crap.
So you could say that we're actually doing the people a favour by getting these guns back on the market instead of just being left here~
Right as I was bringing the guns towards Amber who had gathered her own pile of weapons from the people on the first floor, Lea's voice came through my Codex sounding a little concerned.
"Mistress? I see a bunch of people walking in our direction and by the looks of things… They are coming to raid this place."
I frowned at the news and Amber didn't seem happy to hear that either.
"Shit… These guys must have taken over this building to defend themselves against another group… And that group is coming here now to raid them…"
I grimaced, "Well… If they see that the thugs are dead, they'll leave us alone right?"
Amber made a face at me, "You won't be surprised if these people got angry that we took away their chance at killing these guys and attacked us just for that."
Ugh… I actually wouldn't be surprised if it ended up like that…
"How many of them are there?" I asked through the comms.
There was a pause as I figured Lea was doing a quick count of them before she responded again, "There's thirty of them, Mistress."
Really? I think there were like… At most fifteen guys in this building and they decided to send twice the number of guys?
Then again, I guess you would need more people when you are attacking a fortified position under normal circumstances…
We are definitely outside the 'normal' parameters I guess…
"I guess we should just get out of here before they reach the gates?" I suggested.
Amber looked at the piles of weapons that we had gathered, "That means we would have to leave this behind though?"
"Then I guess we're killing them all," I decided.
You think we're letting these bunch of idiots take what we had claimed for ourselves? Not a chance.
In fact, isn't it great that they showed up here all on their own to give us even more loot?
"Lea, leave the gate ajar and hide yourself. We'll lure them in here and set up a killbox."
"Understood, Mistress," She replied without a second's hesitation.
I turned to Amber and I didn't even need to say anything before she pointed towards the ground, "I'll position myself down here. You go upstairs, Tera."
I didn't argue with her and did as she suggested.
Rushing up the steps, I hid behind one of the corpses at the overhang that granted me a clear view of the floor below.
Soon enough, I heard some shouts coming from the front door and I knew the thugs were here.
Since I didn't hear gunshots, Lea must have found a hiding spot where the thugs failed to spot her.
Peeking below, I found Amber hiding behind one of the broken machines which would put her in a flanking position when the thugs entered the room.
She looked up and gave me a nod, right as a thug crept through the doorway with his handgun up to scan the area.
Not yet… He must be someone the others sent as a scout to make sure the coast was clear…
He looked around for a moment, sweeping his gaze around the first floor before looking up at the second floor.
I stayed as still as I could and he eventually turned back to shout behind him, "It's the same inside here as well guys! Looks like we came here too late!"
Several more thugs came in through the door, their weapons held casually at their sides.
The biggest sized thug whom I assumed was their leader for this expedition scanned the room before letting out a huff, "Must have been Mercs… They even took their guns to sell them off."
One of the thugs pointed at the pile of guns we had left in the centre of the room, "I don't think so, boss. Look, they left the guns here."
The big guy looked down at the guns before his eyes widened and I knew our gig was up.
"They're still her--"
He didn't get to finish his words before I popped out from behind the corpse to point my shotgun in his direction before squeezing the trigger.
A hail of buckshot rounds rained down on the crowd below, peppering them with pellets.
Unfortunately, my shot landed just shot of the leader and only killed the one in front of him while injuring the two beside the first guy.
Thankfully, Lea had the guy marked as well since her sniper round went right through the back of his head, revealing the fact that she had actually not moved from the tower and was simply using her shield's cloaking function to hide herself.
The other thugs that were in the room fumbled with their weapons as they tried to draw them to return fire at me but that gave Amber the chance she needed to pop out from her hiding spot to start firing her dual pistols.
All of them dropped like flies before they could even raise their weapons, their lifeless bodies dropping to the ground and joining their leader's corpse.
Unfortunately for us, that wasn't all of the thugs as most of them were still outside.
The gunshots drew their attention as they rushed into the room, their weapons already drawn.
Even more unfortunate was the first person they saw was me as I was directly in front and above them, prompting them to start firing at me.
I had to hit the floor as I used the corpse for cover, silently thanking the fact that all of their guns were low calibre pistols so none of their bullets managed to penetrate the corpse.
I heard even more gunshots which was then followed by several cries of pain and I knew Amber was dealing with them down there.
Deciding to take the risk, I popped out from my cover once more to see what was going on and sure enough, I was treated to the sight of Amber kicking off one of the walls to leap over the heads of those thugs to shoot at them from above.
Three of them went down instantly while the others tried to scramble for cover.
My gaze went to the door and it seems like the single doorway played to our advantage as they were forced to enter the building one by one, which meant I could do this~
I lifted my shotgun and pointed the barrel straight at the doorway, firing a shot every time someone went through the doorway.
At this distance, not all of my shots were kill shots since the spread of my pellets were too wide and some of them were merely injured by the pellets.
But those guys were quickly finished off by either Amber or Lea, my sniper still managing to remain hidden since the pirates were entirely focused on us instead.
But eventually, the ones outside finally figured out that we had someone else outside that was shooting at them.
But because Lea was still invisible, they weren't sure where exactly their attacker was shooting from, but it did mean that they had stopped coming through the door.
Since the ones remaining inside here were pretty much already half dead, I trusted Amber to be able to handle the ones remaining and leapt down the stairs to help Lea clear out the ones that were still outside.
I dashed out through the door in time to hear one of them shouting out towards the gate, "Where the fuck are you?! Fuck! Call the others!"
I quickly raised my shotgun and shot at the guy from behind, the blast sending him flying forward to faceplant into the wall.
Six more thugs remained and I fired another shot which managed to blast two more away from me before swivelling around to fire at another thug, the pellets blasting his chest open.
Lea managed to shoot through the heads of two more thugs with a single round leaving the final thug who tried to lunge at me with a dagger in his hands.
All I needed to do was to take a step back and pull the trigger on my shotgun before he could get to me and that poor dude was flung back towards the wall.
Then, just like how we had dealt with the thugs that had been in this factory, the area suddenly went silent again.
And you know what that means… More loot!
