Whirlwind Marriage: My Possessive CEO's Undying Pampering-Chapter 892 - 891: Buying Pregnancy Tests (2)
I heard that a miscarriage involves the doctor sliding cold surgical forceps into the uterus to scrape out the fetus.
Such a small life is destroyed just like that.
...
Carla Carr tried not to think about those messy things, rumors are just that, rumors. She chose to follow her own thoughts and had nothing to fear.
There was a companion bed in the hospital ward, and since Eva Nightingale was asleep, Carla sat on the bed beside her.
Meanwhile, next door, Alexander Kingsley and Lucas Knight were talking.
The two men had no intention of disturbing them.
...
The next day.
A golden ray of sunlight shone in through the window.
It fell onto the bed where Eva Nightingale slept.
She slowly opened her eyes, glanced outside the window, and only then did she lazily open her eyes fully.
"You’re awake?" Carla’s voice came through.
"Yeah." Eva replied and then sat up, got out of bed, "Lolo, you’re up so early!"
"Not early at all." Actually, Carla couldn’t sleep, her heart was in a panic. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
In a while, Alexander Kingsley was going back to the First Special District, while Carla intended to stay here with Eva. She planned to show up tomorrow, but she needed to take a moment to step out...
To buy a pregnancy test.
"Eva, I’ll leave with Alexander Kingsley later, and come back to the hospital to see you in the afternoon."
"Alright." Eva was alright, well taken care of during this time, her complexion much improved, though her belly was larger, making sleep uncomfortable.
...
Alexander Kingsley and Carla left together.
She went to the Summer Palace to get some food, then left. Because Alexander was quite busy, handling things, besides, she didn’t mention that matter to him, so Alexander didn’t know.
Two o’clock in the afternoon.
Carla arrived at the Heart to Heart Pharmacy, filled with hesitation.
"May I help you with anything?" the clerk asked politely.
"A pregnancy test." Carla said, "I’d like two boxes." She had learned that each box only contained one test, so to avoid inaccuracies or deviation in results, she planned to buy two tests.
"Alright, please wait a moment."
In no time, the clerk brought two boxes of pregnancy tests and handed them to Carla.
After paying, she stuffed the items into her bag and asked, "When is the best time to test?"
"It’s best in the morning, as it’s more accurate that way."
"Okay, thank you." With that, Carla left.
Carla reached the hospital downstairs after some time, carrying her items into the elevator.
Eva’s floor was the sixth floor, as the entire floor was reserved, it was much quieter compared to other floors.
In the hospital ward, Eva faintly heard shouting from outside, "Tell that shameless little tramp to come out and see me!!"
"She’s not even the Nightingale family’s daughter, just a bastard, an orphan, what gives her the right to occupy the position of CEO of the Nightingale Group?"
"Let everyone judge! Isn’t Eva a little slut—"
Eva got up, opened the door, and walked out, because from the sound she could immediately tell it was Violet Hargrove. Logically speaking... wasn’t she still hospitalized?
After that car accident, Violet Hargrove became a vegetative patient in the hospital. How could she still cause trouble now?!
Moreover, to slander her like that.
The stairwell was in chaos, Violet Hargrove had brought a group of reporters and the Nightingale family’s distant relatives, causing a scene, calling her a bastard over and over.
The bodyguard spoke harshly, with a threatening tone: "If you know what’s good for you, leave now, or don’t blame us for being rude—"
