Who Brought Him into the Cultivation World?-Chapter 265 - 225: Is the Mo Family Also Part of the Corpse Refining Lineage? (Part 2)
"Actually, you might as well ask a professional, rather than a few amateurs racking their brains."
Ye Hei, lost in thought, suddenly spoke.
Clearly, there's a group of Mo Family disciples over at the Heaven-Asking Tower; why waste time guessing?
Han Yu realized, right! For professional matters, one should consult professionals, especially since the Mo Family's craftsmanship is famously avant-garde.
With this in mind, he turned to leave, and Ye Hei hurried to follow—the fellow actually wanted to go along.
"It's fine, considering your presence, they should hold back a bit."
Ye Hei grinned broadly.
After leaving the Government Office, the two made their way to the Heaven-Asking Tower, and upon arrival, Han Yu gazed at the already constructed floors, stunned.
In just a day, the ground floor was already completed. Such speed, such exquisite craftsmanship.
As Han Yu entered with Ye Hei, they instantly attracted the attention of the Mo Family disciples. Everyone focused on them, but upon seeing Han Yu, their expressions softened into friendly smiles.
Seeing this, Ye Hei, behind them, couldn't help but show a wry grin, which the Mo Family disciples noticed, returning it with disdainful looks.
Truly, the difference in treatment, Ye Hei thought with frustration.
"Brother Han."
A leading Mo Family member approached, greeting Han Yu with a cupped fist salute.
"Brother Mo."
Han Yu responded in kind.
"Just call me Mo Sheng. You're a friend of my cousin and have helped our Mo Family multiple times. Last time, you saved my brother in Dongyi City, and I never had the chance to thank you in person."
Mo Sheng gratefully saluted Han Yu with another cupped fist.
Han Yu didn't expect this connection. He saved the Mo Family person primarily because they were related to his cousin; he hadn't anticipated the Mo Family holding such gratitude.
"Brother Han, you must have a reason for coming?"
Mo Sheng asked with a smile.
Han Yu quickly nodded, "Indeed, I am here to consult Brother Mo."
Upon hearing this, Mo Sheng led Han Yu directly into the first floor of the Heaven-Asking Tower, giving a long, disdainful look at Ye Hei.
Ye Hei grinned and followed without paying it any mind.
Inside, the structure was newly built, the walls bare and unfinished. A simple table held various blueprints. Mo Sheng led them to the table and, after they all sat, he spoke.
"Brother Han, what do you wish to ask?"
After organizing his thoughts, Han Yu slowly explained the command flag issue. Mo Sheng listened carefully and then began sketching on a blank sheet of paper.
Apart from a talisman he couldn't describe, Mo Sheng drew out the rest of the command flag's design.
"So, what I want to ask Brother Mo is, can Divine Techniques be infused into a Magical Artifact."
Han Yu looked at Mo Sheng expectantly, but Mo Sheng remained silent for a long while.
"It's not a traditional Artifact Sect method."
Mo Sheng could immediately assert this, but otherwise, he stared intently in deep thought.
Han Yu quietly waited, sitting by his side, and after some time, Mo Sheng's eyes lit up, his face showing delight.
"It's the Mo Family."
Han Yu and Ye Hei both jumped in surprise, looking at him with bewildered expressions.
The Mo Family also belonged to the Corpse Refining Lineage?
That would be disastrous; one of the Nine Sects has already fallen, Ye Hei thought with some fear.
If true, should I confront my cousin next time? Han Yu felt internally conflicted.
"Apologies, I got too excited earlier and misspoke."
Mo Sheng quickly explained, realizing his slip.
Both of them breathed a sigh of relief, looking at him with strange expressions.
"What I mean is, if the Mo Family continues, we might develop to this point."
Mo Sheng blushed, but spoke earnestly, as he took out a pile of iron pieces. Han Yu, having seen these several times, knew they could be assembled into various weapons at any moment.
True to his thought, Mo Sheng quickly assembled a sword and then placed a specially made Small Spirit Stone alongside the iron sword on the table.
"You see, this is a sword, and this is a Spirit Stone. We, the Mo Family, use a Spirit Stone to replace True Essence in driving this sword."
Perplexed, Han Yu prompted Mo Sheng to rephrase.
"The Mo Family installs a Spirit Stone internally, while the other party installs Divine Techniques. Essentially, we're the same."
They all suddenly realized, but they were surprised nonetheless. Can Divine Techniques really be infused?
Mo Sheng's explanation was quite interesting.
For cultivators, what's stored within before the Realm of Transcendence is True Essence. After reaching Transcendence, True Essence transforms into Spiritual Power. Besides that, some cultivators contain Divine Techniques, and the Mo Family employs Spirit Stone refining techniques.
This is the perspective for ordinary cultivators, but for the Mo Family, Spirit Stone, Divine Techniques, True Essence, Spiritual Power are all the same: energy.
Regardless of Spirit Stone, Divine Techniques, True Essence, or Spiritual Power, they are merely energy, the only difference being the varying energy intensity and resulting effects.
This novel perspective intrigued Han Yu, engrossing him completely.
"Take Brother Han for example. You have multiple Divine Techniques, but within you, there's only one type of energy from which all your Divine Techniques draw their power."
"And each time you use them, the energy must be channeled through a representative object to trigger various effects."
As Mo Sheng spoke, Han Yu couldn't help but visualize the essence of each Elemental Divine Technique in his Sea of Consciousness, confirming what Mo Sheng described. For the Fire Series, it was a white flame, which initially evolved from a red flame.
The Water Series was represented by a small clear spring.
For the Earth Series, it was a large rock.
The Hungry Ghost Image was even more intriguing as it displayed a miniature skeleton, even smaller than the Artifact Spirit.
Unexpectedly, the Mo Family too has researched Divine Techniques.
"This is normal; the Mo Family studies anything energy-related, but without Divine Power Cultivators, understanding your advanced changes has been elusive."
"What we know is actually basic knowledge."
Mo Sheng lamented that the Mo Family never produced a Divine Power Cultivator; otherwise, it would be an excellent area of study.
Which brings us to infusion. Since it's all energy, just as the Mo Family can use Spirit Stones to drive Magical Artifacts, others can similarly infuse Divine Techniques to drive them, as it's just energy.
"These are theoretical concepts, and in practice, there is a vast chasm that's hard to bridge. That's why I said this could be the Mo Family's future path."
Mo Sheng viewed the command flag on the drawing with some reverence, clearly recognizing it as advancing beyond the Mo Family, potentially reaching their pinnacle.
"You've provoked someone exceptional."
Han Yu and Ye Hei exchanged glances; technically, they've provoked the Corpse Refining Lineage, assuming their speculations are correct.
Curious, Ye Hei pointed at the drawings, "These styles don't seem like something your Mo Family could have come up with!"
Since the command flag resembled traditional Artifact Sect styles, not those of the Mo Family.
"You're mistaken."
Mo Sheng retorted without enthusiasm, yet still patiently explained, considering Han Yu's presence.
The Mo Family elders once theorized that if perfected, the Mo Family would achieve perfect energy utilization, eventually seeking other replacements.
In crafting techniques, they would surely revert to traditional Artifact Sect methods.
Not revert, but converge at the same destination.
The Mo Family simply has discovered opportunities for breakthrough in the Artifact Path one step earlier; otherwise, everyone might end up similarly.
In summary, Mo Sheng couldn't specify the methods used, but from an energy perspective, the command flag could indeed utilize infused Divine Techniques for refinement.
After leaving, Ye Hei's expression was truly darkened.
"Damn it, don't tell me that even the Yellow Springs Mansion is just a small fry..."
He was indeed shaken to the core.
