With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods-Chapter 1381: A tremor across the continent
"Do you really not know what this thing is?"
Now that they were in private, Rokuko couldn’t hold back her curiosity anymore.
Even though she hadn’t shown it during the ceremony, she was indeed curious about what this large rock was as well.
She had spent more than enough time on the cultivation continent to sense spiritual energy when it was there. That was part of the reason why she had asked Haku to give this thing to Lin Fan as a reward.
When they came back, Lin Fan had found out that it was Rokuko that had chosen this reward in the end.
Lin Fan wasn’t surprised that Rokuko was the one that was allowed to look through the treasury of the Laver Empire, but he was surprised that she would choose something like this.
Even if there was spiritual energy coming from this thing, he didn’t believe that it was something that was worth more than the real treasures of the Laver Empire. And he was certain that she would have seen the real treasures of the Laver Empire since it was Rokuko.
Haku would do anything for Rokuko and would spare no expenses.
Though there was another thing that Lin Fan had been curious about when he heard this story from Rokuko.
"Why was this thing in the treasury of the Laver Empire in the first place? It really can’t be considered a treasure for the Laver Empire, right?"
"It was something that Big Sister Haku’s first husband found and was taken in by, which was why it was in the treasury in the end."
Haku’s first husband was also the first emperor of the Laver Empire, as well as the one that had built her first dungeon with her.
It was strange that he would want something like this, but Lin Fan didn’t know him well enough to actually judge him. Which was why he left that matter alone in the end.
"I honestly have no idea. Other than the spiritual energy that comes from this thing that tells us it comes from the cultivation continent, there really isn’t anything that tells me what this thing is." Lin Fan shook his head as he said this.
He had also tried using the Appraisal Eyes on it, but it hadn’t given him anything.
In fact, the only thing that the Appraisal Eyes gave him was...
Granite - Regular Stone.
It just told him what kind of stone it was and didn’t give him any information on what the spiritual energy could be coming from.
As such, Lin Fan really was stuck on what to do with this thing.
Seeing that Lin Fan didn’t know what to do, Rokuko said in the end, "Just take it back with you. I don’t know what you’ll be able to find, but at least it’ll have more use over there than over here, right?"
Lin Fan wasn’t one hundred percent certain that he wanted to take this with him, but he knew that Rokuko was right. Even if it was potentially dangerous to take it back with him, it wasn’t as if he would be able to find anything here.
Something that came from the cultivation continent should be taken back to the cultivation continent in the end.
It was only there that the true value of this thing could be seen.
But as for what that true value would be, it was hard to imagine since they had no idea what this thing even was.
As they stood in front of the portal, Rokuko suddenly asked, "Are you sure about this?"
The look in her eyes showed the hesitation that she suddenly felt.
It was understandable since this was an unknown item.
This was something that she felt hesitant about earlier, but she had suppressed it since she believed in Lin Fan.
But the closer that they came to actually doing something, she couldn’t help feeling nervous once more.
It would be a lie to say that Lin Fan wasn’t feeling the same.
Only there was something else that Lin Fan felt that made him want to continue with this.
It was his confidence in being able to deal with whatever happened if something were to happen. This was the buildup that came from having dealt with all kinds of different situations and reaching his current level.
Though Lin Fan didn’t want to become prideful, it was inevitable that a part of him became a bit prideful in the end.
Seeing her worried look, Lin Fan calmly said, "It’ll be fine. We’ll figure out whatever this thing is and how to deal with it."
Rokuko was silent for a minute, but she eventually nodded in agreement.
There was no one that she trusted more in this world than Lin Fan after all.
Since he said this, it wouldn’t be right to wait any longer. So Lin Fan turned to look at the portal for a few seconds before walking in.
The moment that he walked in, there was a sound that came from his hands.
It was the sound of something breaking.
To be certain that nothing would happen, Lin Fan had been holding the large rock in his hand rather than putting it in his Storage Ring. Only the moment that it went through, there was this crack that appeared on the large rock.
On the other side, Lin Fan found that inside of the large crack, there was something there.
It was this thing that had been releasing the spiritual energy all along.
Though looking at it, it didn’t really feel like there was anything that was special about this thing. From what Lin Fan could see, this thing looked like nothing more than a normal token.
But then there was something that happened that no one would have predicted.
It was a tremble that came from under him.
Even though he was deep inside of the dungeon, there was a tremble that he could feel.
As soon as he felt this, Lin Fan couldn’t help deeply knitting his brows.
After all, the dungeon was something completely different from the rest of the world.
This dungeon had reached the point where it could be said that it was gigantic. Since it was this big, it was only natural that it would be sturdy as well since there would be other parts holding it in place.
For this giant dungeon to actually shake, that meant that the tremors that came from outside definitely weren’t small.
Just what could have happened outside that would make the dungeon shake like this?
At the same time, how was it related to the thing that he had brought back from the magic continent?
There was no way that this was a coincidence. There was no doubt in Lin Fan’s mind that whatever happened outside was something related to this token that came out of that large rock.
Only how that was related, Lin Fan still had no idea.
When he came out of the dungeon, he found that the devastation was much greater than he thought. Though he wasn’t actually worried about repairing the city since he knew that Yue Lan and Ming Xin were already on it.
There were guards that were already moving to help the people and to repair parts of the city. That was the training that they had received intensively and what Yue Lan and Ming Xin had invested in.
With the two of them here, there was no need for Lin Fan to worry about Dungeon City.
But from what he could see, he could tell that there was a very strong earthquake that had hit Dungeon City.
This was what he had expected to see from something that had caused a tremor in the dungeon. It was just that there was nothing here that told him what that earthquake was.
So Lin Fan left this to the Dungeon City guards and went to find Yue Lan and Ming Xin.
If there was anyone that knew what this earthquake was, then it would be them. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
It was just that...
"We don’t know either."
Lin Fan was a bit disappointed when he heard this from them, but he didn’t blame them. After all, it hadn’t even been that long since the tremor had happened and they wouldn’t have time to find out what happened.
Only Lin Fan did say, "We need to find out what this was as soon as possible."
Both Yue Lan and Ming Xin were surprised by how decisive Lin Fan was about this, but they didn’t actually agree with him.
Instead, what they were more focused on was restoring Dungeon City.
At the same time, there were reinforcement requests sent to the Love Sect to help with restoring Dungeon City. Though they were also delayed because the Love Sect had been affected by the large earthquake as well.
All of this made Lin Fan feel awkward for being the one that tried to push things along.
Thinking about it, he realized that they were right to try and restore their property first.
It was just that Lin Fan really wanted to know what had happened.
But when the reports came in, Lin Fan knew that this wasn’t a simple matter.
The earthquake that had shaken Dungeon City, it hadn’t just hit Dungeon City alone.
It had hit the entirety of the Mu Empire and had even spread across the continent.
Whatever had happened, this was something that had affected the entire continent.
It seemed that Lin Fan had underestimated whatever it was that this token had caused.
