Chapter 530: Chapter 530: Mobilization

Most planes do not have the means to communicate across the entire plane; information in each area is relatively closed off.

When the Void Insect Race invades such a plane, after appearing somewhere, the local natives only consider it a local problem, unaware it’s an issue affecting the entire plane.

Moreover, after a problem arises there, they cannot transmit messages to other corners of the world, at most just spreading the news to some surrounding areas.

This leads to the result that in the initial stages of the Void Insect Race’s invasion, the nests appear in various parts of the plane, but these places have almost no means of communication with each other, making it difficult for them to unite against the Void Insect Race.

It often takes waiting until the Void Insect Race develops to a certain scale and invades extensively across the plane for the beings on the plane to realize the insect race threat.

But by then, the Void Insect Race is already quite powerful, and even if they can be repelled, it comes at a heavy cost.

Once the Void Insect Race devours enough resources, they can leave, as they inherently exist like nomads, roaming the Endless Plane in search of suitable pastures.

After they leave, what is left is often a ravaged plane; sometimes, the entire plane may become a wasteland because of it.

The Wizard Plane’s response this time was incredibly swift, and the Void Insect Race on the continent is essentially unable to gain momentum; eradicating them is just a matter of time.

In the immediate future, there might still be small-scale insect appearances, but they won’t pose much of a threat anymore.

As for the sea, the Sea Race, due to issues of capability and manpower, ultimately had to cooperate with the wizards.

In fact, they hoped the wizards could help, but they also feared the wizards, not wanting them to enter the sea domain.

Albert personally went to negotiate with the Sea Emperor, essentially providing the Sea Race with an honorable way out.

It appears as if the wizards are requesting cooperation from the Sea Race, but in reality, wizards are helping them.

The Wizard Council endeavored tirelessly to tackle the Void Insect Race in the sea, mobilizing a large number of slave creatures suited for underwater combat.

At just Blade Ridge Camp, two Slave Creature Legions were allocated here, with one legion consisting of 500,000 slave creatures.

At this moment, Lauren also began to outline the subsequent combat plans on the sand table.

"The two Slave Creature Legions, allocated by the council and adapted to deep-sea environments, have arrived at the designated sea area. Based on this, we will launch feigned attacks on the insect network’s outer defense line from four main directions to distract their forces."

He indicated four specifically marked nodes on the sand table, which were located on the outer perimeter of the nest network, acting like support points for the whole network.

"Our real target remains destroying the core Level 3 Nest. But to achieve this, we must first tear open a large enough breach."

His finger heavily pointed at one of the support points: "This is the Bone Spike Strait, the closest perimeter support point to the Level 3 Nest in the southeast direction — a critical shield. Our main force will concentrate here."

"The east route, led by me, bringing along the main force of the Slave Creature Legion, will attack the Bone Spike Strait head-on, drawing the attention of the main forces of the insect race. Other directions will also be allocated a certain proportion of slave creature forces..."

The strategy set, a grand war picture involving multi-line operations and virtual-real combinations unfolded, utilizing the Slave Creature Legion as expendables and distraction forces.

They had a million-strong Slave Creature Legion, ample troops to surround and assault the nest group from all sides.

Although the insect race from the Void Insect Race side might number in the millions, the difference in power levels means that numbers alone can’t make up for it. A million organized slave creatures are sufficient to wipe out this nest group.

Duke was assigned to the west side of the nest group to carry out cleaning tasks, mainly to deal with a Level 1 Nest and a Level 2 Nest.

There were 200,000 slave creatures here; he was responsible for leading a detachment of slave creatures, which meant 50,000 slave creatures.

This was quite unusual here, as typically a detachment is led by a Level 2 Mage; thus, a Level 1 Crystalized Mage leading a detachment surprised many. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

After the vast operation plan was settled at Blade Ridge Camp, the entire camp operated like a tightly wound war machine, running efficiently and with a murderous air.

At the command of Wizard Lauren, wizards scattered throughout the camp, along with the million varied yet equally vicious slave creatures of the legion, began moving towards their respective designated assault areas like rivers to the sea.

Duke rode a winged serpent, positioned at the forefront of the western army.

Behind him was an imposing force of 50,000 deep-sea slave creatures, all species from other planes that had never been seen before.

The entire legion’s movement stirred dark currents, turning the surrounding seawater turbid. The silent murderous atmosphere was more heart-stopping than any shout.

They didn’t choose the shortest straight-line distance; instead, guided by the Sea Race, they followed a relatively concealed route, using seabed mountains and deep trenches as cover.

The light became increasingly dim along the way until they were almost entirely enveloped in perpetual darkness, with only the faint phosphorescence emanating from the slave creatures themselves, the glow of magic, and the light from the tail of the luminescent arrowfish serving as beacons on the Nether River, illuminating the small path ahead.

The pressure continued to build, enough to crush ordinary creatures, but for these specialized slave creatures and powerful wizards, it was still within bearable limits.

After a long and oppressive dive, the Sea Race guide ahead issued a warning: "Be aware, we are about to reach the Roaring Abyss outer zone, everyone be cautious, and suppress energy fluctuations."

The order quickly spread, the legion’s advance slowed, and all unnecessary lighting organs and magical glows of the slave creatures were deliberately extinguished or dimmed to a minimum.

The formation fell into a state of extreme silence, with only the faint sound of water flowing over bodies and fin wings.

After advancing for about a quarter of an hour and passing through a massive natural gateway-like sea floor ridge, the scene ahead suddenly changed, leaving every wizard arriving here for the first time deeply shocked.

This seemed like an end-time scorched earth beneath the sea.

The first sensation was the overwhelmingly dense, bizarre air in the seawater, a mix of rot, sweetness, and some sharp acid tang, nauseating to the core.

The temperature of the seawater also noticeably increased, with an unnatural warmth.
