Compared to the Demon King, the human race's corruption and slavery were even worse than him.

The Demon King wasn't necessarily evil and he could even be said to be an unfortunate man whose race was chosen as a scapegoat by the evil goddess.

After all, if that evil goddess chose the elf race as the evil force that the heroes had to eliminate, then it wouldn't be the Demon King who would be labeled as evil but the Elf King instead.

In other words, it was the demon race's bad luck of being chosen by the evil goddess Fantasia.

The demon race was the best scapegoat for promoting the nemesis of the hero for several reasons.

The demon race looked demonic and evil so that alone accounted for the biggest reason. On the other hand, the demon king on average wasn't as powerful as the Dragon King.

The overall combat power of the dragon race was far stronger than the demon race.

Even in the entire generations of Demon Kings, only a few Demon Kings were able to defeat the Dragon King while most of them were either only equal to the Dragon King or couldn't even deal with the Dragon King.

Of course, that was the Dragon King having the support of the heroes. But then again, if the Dragon King had the Demon King authority, he would be far stronger than Arctos Daemon, the current generation of Demon King.

Seeing that the heroes weren't interested in fighting against the Demon King, Alister also agreed with them in not wasting their time on the Demon King.

Although the Demon King was powerful, Zanna could easily beat him up, let alone Alister. After all, Zanna was stronger than all the heroes combined. The chaos element was just that powerful and cheating.

That's also the reason why Alister's Chaos Hero's hero authority was like using hacks and it was too overpowered.

Arctos Daemon, the current generation of Demon King, possessed the Demon King authority of Pride.

The Pride Authority allowed Arctos to use his pride as a weapon or to extend his lifespan. It's a type of energy different from aura and mana and unique to him as the Demon King of Pride.

Moreover, pride energy was like a currency for the Demon King of Pride. As long as he had enough pride energy, he could even negate almost anything and also impose his prideful will on reality itself!

However, even the demon king authority of Pride was like a weaker version of Alister's Unpredictable Chaos Authority.

Unlike the pride authority that needed pride energy, Alister also needed energy but it wasn't reliant on one specific energy. As long as his opponent wasn't too powerful, then he could do whatever he wanted without even expending any of his energy.

Only when his opponent was powerful that Alister have to use his mana or any energy of his when using the Unpredictable Chaos Authority.
