World's No. 1 Swordsman-Chapter 562: In the End, They Could Not Avoid Entering the Array
Inside the primal qi passage, the qi bubbles drifted only as fast as the flow of primal qi. Cultivators could not slow or speed them up.
When Wang Sheng and Lishang emerged from the passage and prepared to fly into the stars, someone shouted from behind them, "Daoist friends, please wait!"
Wang Sheng's mouth twitched. Hearing Lin Feiyao's voice made his head ache.
He intended to turn into a stream of light and fly away, but Lishang turned to the young woman chasing them. "She might only be coming to thank us."
Wang Sheng smiled bitterly. "Fine."
This was beyond his expectations. While he, a male cultivator with normal interests, wasn't interested in the young woman, Lishang pitied her.
As a descendant of the human race's "holy mother," her heart always had a soft side.
Flying toward them, Lin Feiyao greeted softly, "Esteemed seniors! Before my father went off to collect medicine, he mentioned that he was going to a qi star called Gonglin. If you two are going the same way, may I come with you?"
Gonglin?
Wang Sheng raised an eyebrow. Isn't that our final destination?
Lishang commented, "That's quite a coinciden—"
"We're not going to Gonglin," he immediately interjected. Afterward, he pulled her along and signaled her to stop talking.
He gave Lin Feiyao a once-over, making her pretty face turn red. Holding her short sword in front of her with her delicate hands, she looked quite obedient and sweet. His spiritual perception detected nothing strange, and her cultivation realm didn't seem fake.
Wang Sheng and Lishang had gotten this far while hiding in the Shadowless Shuttle. Every time they left a passage, they purposefully headed to another that was in a completely wrong direction before using the shuttle to circle back to their original route.
They had been so careful that they doubted anyone had followed them. Moreover, they were the only ones who knew about the star chart that they had created.
Thoughts flooded his mind in that short moment.
Finally, he smiled faintly at Lin Feiyao. "Fairy Feiyao, Guimo's cultivators are likely the only ones to have set up a checkpoint at a passage. Though you're looking for your father, we have urgent business to attend to. There is no need for us to interact further. Farewell."
"Let me at least give you something, seniors!" Lin Feiyao thought for a moment and then took a small jade bottle from her sleeve. She gently said, "I made these Linchun Pills myself. They're not worth much, but please accept them as a small token of my gratitude, seniors."
Wang Sheng nodded. He used his immortal power to wrap the jade bottle and tossed it into the "wallet" inside his sleeve. Right after, he clasped his hands and bowed to Lin Feiyao.
He and Lishang turned into streams of light and shot toward the horizon.

Lin Feiyao slowly flew out of the planet at the end of the passage. After waiting until Wang Sheng and Lishang were out of her range, she snorted a little and smiled faintly.
When the bracelet on her wrist glowed softly, she stopped and took out a celestial insect. Using her power, she held it in her palm.
Lin Feiyao waited quietly in the same area for half a day. The dark-blue celestial insect kept turning its head, its antennae pointing like arrows toward Wang Sheng and Lishang's location. Even though the two were inside the Shadowless Shuttle, it could still sense where they were.
Lin Feiyao slowly removed the restrictions on her cultivation, causing her aura to quickly rise to the middle stage of the Heavenly Immortal Realm. She then hid it again as she turned into a mass of dark light.
"Despite how careful you are, you still fell for the trick. Male cultivators are all the same."
Instead of rushing, she waited for another half a day. Finally, she confirmed that Wang Sheng and Lishang were heading toward a passage that led to Gonglin.
Lin Feiyao took out a small six-sided artifact. She injected her immortal power into it, making it light up. A blurry, deep-voiced phantasm slowly appeared in its center.
—Have you found our targets, Elder Ling?
Sounding extremely old, she replied, "I have, Elder Tan Lang. Rest assured, they're definitely going to Gonglin. Please prepare early. I'll follow from behind and cut off their escape."
—No need to hurry, Elder Lin. The war slave and I are enough to deal with them.
"Elder Tan Lang, we absolutely can't let this plan fail."
—Mm.
The phantasm disappeared.
Lin Feiyao frowned. Looking annoyed, she put away the artifact and snorted.
She first flew a few hundred miles to the side, then began to trail Lishang and Wang Sheng, keeping her path parallel to theirs.
Less than half a day later, Lin Feiyao stopped in an empty area of space. She frowned while looking at the insect in her hand.
The antennae of the insect suddenly pointed backward and tilted upward slightly.
"I passed them that quickly? I thought they were faster."
Lin Feiyao turned into dark light. While floating quietly, she used her senses to search for traces of the two in the empty space.
She waited for half a day again, then another.
"Are they just out on a leisure trip? Hmph! How shameless!"
Three days later, Lin Feiyao finally grew impatient. She cautiously followed the beetle's antennae to check what was happening.
After twelve hours of flying, Lin Feiyao finally saw a small jade pot floating in the endless space. She stood in complete silence for a while before her expression darkened. Reaching out, she grabbed the jade pot and crushed it, causing several insect eggs that looked like glass beads to fall into her palm. She collected them along with the celestial insect.
Lin Feiyao thought for a moment, then took out her six-sided artifact again. She activated it with her immortal power and contacted Tan Lang.
Still sounding old, she reported, "I lost them. That Pi Kachew is very slippery. I'm starting to think he's the thieving sword immortal who keeps appearing and disappearing without a trace."
Tan Lang gave her a calm, emotionless reply.
—Mm. Understood.
Lin Feiyao was quite dissatisfied. "I believe they have an artifact to hide themselves. They slipped away right under my nose."
—Don't worry. I have already made arrangements and set up a grand array at their destination.
"You've already found Lishang's homeland?"
—Yes. Do not alert them. Just hurry over a bit later.
The phantasm vanished once more.
Lin Feiyao's already gloomy expression turned a deep shade of blue. However, she couldn't blame anyone but herself for losing them. After all, she was the one who had taken the initiative to find the two from the Xinghai Sect.
"Oh, Pi Kachew. Just wait until you fall into my hands. I'll turn you into a medicine slave who can't even beg for death!"

Meanwhile, inside the Shadowless Shuttle.
Wang Sheng held the star map and confirmed their final route. Once they were out of the sixth primal qi passage, they would arrive at Gonglin. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Lishang's homeland was located in that region of land.
Lishang sat quietly to the side, unable to cultivate. Eager to return home but fearful of getting close to it, she felt extremely unsettled.
"Why did you insist on throwing away those pills?" she asked.
Though momentarily stunned, Wang Sheng smiled bitterly. "That was days ago. Why do you still have that in mind, Vice Sect Master? Anyway, we can never go wrong with being cautious."
He didn't have anything to do with cultivators who'd say, "Daoist friends, please wait."
However, he was naturally an exception. He could use the same phrase to call out to others all he wanted.
Lishang countered, "Ignoring someone's gratitude like this just doesn't sit right with me."
She then stopped talking. It was unclear whether she truly cared about the matter or just wanted to find something to talk about with Wang Sheng.
Two and a half months later, they finally entered the sixth primal qi passage. Fortunately, they didn't face any issues with it.
Lishang swayed slightly as they drifted out of the passage. She clutched her chest and looked at the horizon.
With somewhat unfocused eyes, she whispered, "It's waiting for me after all."
Wang Sheng looked around them. His immortal perception covered the area near the primal qi passage as if he were facing a great enemy.
"Let's leave this place for now. There are powerful people on the planet below."
Unlike the ancient battlefield's thirteen qi planets, where different sects competed, Gonglin was light red. It was home to one major power and dozens of smaller ones. However, all groups remained orderly and well-behaved; no one dared start a conflict.
The moment Wang Sheng stepped out of the passage, his Dao Heart trembled slightly. He sensed pressure coming from somewhere on Gonglin.
There's definitely at least one Golden Immortal in there!
Wang Sheng did not dare to delay. After all, ants wandering near an elephant were always at risk of being crushed.
Lishang wasn't in the right condition, either. Unable to worry about much else, he grabbed her arm and sped toward the endless space. He quickly broke through the atmosphere and vanished from the area.
Only after flying tens of thousands of li did he finally relax a little. The sensation in his Dao Heart finally disappeared.
He summoned the Shadowless Shuttle, and Lishang quietly entered it. Seeing her expression, he worried that she might have caught on to the situation.
Wang Sheng requested, "How about you show me the way?"
Lishang nodded slowly and momentarily closed her eyes to track her homeland. She then raised her hand and pointed toward a spot in space.
Wang Sheng activated the Shadowless Shuttle and left without leaving a trace. While following Lishang's directions, he pondered the issue that he had purposefully avoided during the trip.
Linyuan could have been the murderer of Lishang's family. If so, then there was almost no way to reconcile them. No one could shamelessly tell Lishang to forgive him.
Linyuan had used every means in his power to repeatedly stop her from returning to her homeland, likely because he knew that once Lishang returned, she would find a way to learn what happened in the past..
All it would take was a battered corpse or some information still left in the area.
What would Lishang do if she found out?
Wang Sheng sighed to himself. He had no idea when this final part of their journey would end.
This time, they flew for only three days before they entered a solar system. According to Linyuan, her homeland was hidden in a field of broken planet fragments.
An external force likely destroyed the planet. It didn't have even a trace of primal qi left.
Lishang said softly, "We're here."
The Shadowless Shuttle flew straight toward the field.
"Once I drop you off in your homeland, I'll cultivate outside for a while. Let me know once you've successfully broken through. However... if you do not want to return anymore, at least inform me that you're safe."
Lishang was slightly shocked. "Why would I not want to return?"
Wang Sheng smiled. "Everyone loves their home. You could find this place too comfor—"
Clang!
The Shadowless Shuttle suddenly shook as if it had hit a piece of the ruined planet.
Wang Sheng's spirit jolted. Having been checking the surroundings with his immortal perception the entire time, he was sure that not even a single piece of rubble had been in their path.
The shuttle stopped instantly and tried to retreat. However, before it could speed up, it crashed into an invisible barrier.
An array?!
The two heard the scraping of iron chains echoing from all directions.
Wang Sheng had already stood up and gripped Dragon Sword.
