Wrong Love, Final Goodbye: She'll Never Look Back-Chapter 351: I Thought You Would Blame Me
Tanya looked at Declan Pierce as he appeared, her eyes slightly moist.
Declan walked toward Tanya and held her hand, which was cold and trembling slightly.
"Sorry, I’m a bit late." He casually raised his hand to tidy Tanya’s hair, his expression extremely gentle, "Go outside and wait for me. The people and things of the Pierce Family, they are too filthy, I’ll handle it." 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Tanya already saw Janne’s figure waiting at the door.
"Declan..." Tanya touched his lean, handsome face, and said hoarsely, "Promise me one thing."
Declan raised an eyebrow and smiled, already guessing Tanya’s request.
She was so kind...
"I promise you, I won’t kill..."
"Don’t hurt yourself." Tanya interrupted him.
Declan was slightly startled, then he smiled with relief. His eyes, which had been quiet, now shimmered with brilliance.
"Okay." He softly promised her.
Tanya did not linger, she followed Janne outside.
Outside, there were only Declan’s people. The Pierce mansion that moment had already become Declan’s domain.
Janne stepped forward to open the backseat door for Tanya, but she did not get in. She turned to look inside, asking softly, "Today, was it part of Declan’s plan too?"
"Yes..."
"No matter if I left a tracker or not, he would have come for me?"
"Yes..."
Tanya silently tugged at the corner of her mouth: "So, Zeke Pierce’s mother was also taken by Declan? To force out the father and son of the Pierce Family?"
"Yes..."
Tanya took out her phone and fiddled with it, head down.
"Declan installed a surveillance system here with me. I’m his weakness, and also his bait this time, right?"
Janne suddenly raised his head, worried that Tanya misunderstood, he explained urgently: "Ms. Sinclair, Mr. Pierce absolutely did not mean to surveil or use you, he just wants to protect you. If he can’t root out the Pierce Family in one go, your situation will be very dangerous."
"I’m not blaming him." Tanya reassured him with a smile, she was not lying, there was no disappointment or resentment on her face.
Janne only then relaxed.
Tanya looked at Janne, speaking softly: "Special Assistant Hayes, could I ask you for a favor?"
...
Tanya sat in the car, waited for a long while, and saw Declan’s figure walking out within the house, followed by Zeke’s hysterical curses, cursing him not to die peacefully.
Declan wiped the blood on his hand with a blank face, giving a few instructions to Janne who met him halfway.
Janne then took people inside to clean up the mess.
Declan walked straight to Tanya, got in the car, the blood on his hand wiped clean, along with the murderous ferocity completely shut outside.
In front of Tanya, Declan was so gentle it could make someone drown.
"Come closer." Tanya beckoned him with her hand.
Declan obediently leaned his face forward, and Tanya helped him wipe off a speck of blood accidentally splattered on his face, doing so attentively and meticulously.
Declan’s eyes never moved away from her face for a moment; an intensely focused gaze, ardent and sincere.
"Tanya, I thought you’d be angry." He grasped her hand, speaking slowly, "The Tanya Sinclair I know, is kindhearted, just, repulsed by violence and bloodshed..."
Tanya looked up at him, her gaze clear, so awake that it seemed to see through everything.
"Then let me introduce myself again. I, Tanya Sinclair, loved the wrong person, gave everything for him, eventually died in a hospital room as a comatose patient due to birth complications."
Declan’s pupils dilated in shock.
Yet Tanya, clasping his hand, continued speaking each word clearly: "Then, a fool took many years, returning from a future far, far ahead, in the most painful way. He spent five years, waking me up."
Tears slowly filled her eyes, making Declan’s face in her sight blur slightly.
Tanya smiled, gently caressing Declan’s face, wanting to etch every inch of him into her heart.
"Declan, the Tanya Sinclair of this life is a devoted follower of Declan Pierce."
