Chapter 133: Door to the Past - Honor and Courage_2

"Yes, the Sighing Desert was the main battlefield of the Godslaying War in the First Epoch, and the place where most of the dead bodies on the entire continent are concentrated. Because of the abundant energy, the skeletons find it difficult to decompose, thus leaving latent danger for the present."

"By the Second Epoch, after tens of thousands of years, thick soil had completely covered the entire Sighing Desert, turning it once again into fertile land. Because it was located in the center of the continent and was full of energy, the goblins chose this place as the center of their empire. By the end of the Second Epoch, over a fifth of the goblin race’s population was concentrated here, and then, under Divine Punishment, they died here."

"By the Third Epoch, the land here was no longer so fertile, so no races established large cities here. But regretfully, because of the still abundant energy, the War of Gods in the Third Epoch had this place as its main battlefield. Again, countless gods fell here, and again, countless creatures died here."

"During the War of Gods, the collision of Divine Powers tore the entire continent into pieces. After the arrival of the Will of the Father God, the continent was rebuilt. But because this was the main battlefield, the overly intense energy collision blew several pieces of a hundred thousand square miles of land into an alternate space. In terms you’d understand, it’s as if an entire piece of land was blown up and exploded into another world. Even with the power of the Father God, it couldn’t pull this piece of land back from the alternate space to Yarran World. He had to use a very few remaining fragments as a foundation to recreate a piece of land to fill the original void. Due to the short passage of time, this region has yet to be assimilated by the Yarran World. So now you see, the Sighing Desert is unparalleled, there are no plants, no water, no oasis, no life, nothing at all, only a huge crack at the center, that is the trace of the Father God’s Will repairing this land."

"Everything had been normal all along, but unexpectedly, that piece of shattered continent, it came back."

"What? This is not scientific at all!" Scorpion-tailed lion Dillie shook his tail in surprise: "Such a huge piece of land, it went away and came back just like that? That’s an alternate space, it’s not like leisurely strolling in the Feather Mountain Range, how can it be so arbitrary?"

"The will to return home is something none can shake, even for the Undead." Casting a somewhat strange glance at Dillie, Mina softly said: "Like you, don’t you want to go home too?"

"Me? Haha, haha, I don’t want to go home at all." The scorpion-tailed lion paused, then laughed dryly in defense.

"Stop bragging."

"The scorpion-tailed lion from the underground world that appeared in the legend came to the surface world, clearly lost and can’t find his home but still bragging about not wanting to go home."

"Just don’t know who it was twenty years ago, crying in the woods, rolling around and saying I want to go home."

The scorpion-tailed lion glared at the Winged sisters and laid his head down in his forepaws, pretending not to hear anything.

"Lady Mina, we are not doubting you, but, we find it hard to understand, because Undead want to go home, a whole continent can come back from another world, and moreover, if it really has returned, what will happen to the present Sighing Desert, what will happen to the Yarran Continent?"

"Actually, that piece of land can’t come back, the boundaries of space aren’t so easily broken. However, due to reasons that we have yet to determine, a small hole has opened in the spatial barrier, just going towards the space where that piece of land is. The two pieces of land from the same origin thus began to attract each other, making the two spaces infinitely close. The current situation is that the alternate space is attached to our main world, of course, this attachment won’t affect us, but through the small hole, the Undead have returned home."

"But, even if there is a large amount of skeletal remains from the three epochs concentrated there, it should not give birth to so many Undead." Kyle continued to ask: "After all, there are certain proportions and requirements for the creation of Undead."

"The specific situation that occurred on that piece of land, our Drake race can only speculate." Mina could not fully confirm, her answer vaguely hesitant: "On that piece of land, should be scattered some fragments of Divine Souls left behind after the fall of the gods. If in Yarra, there would be no problem, but over there... the Father God once said that over there was a completely blank void, with a large number of dead, a world with too pure death, a will of too pure a dead gathered together, maybe it let some God Soul Fragment be activated, the activated God Soul Fragment instinctively devoured other fragments to make its Divine Soul complete, but because the origin of the fragments was too chaotic, it would never become a true Divine Soul. So, according to our clan’s speculation, there should be a new incomplete god in charge of death, whose divine power wakes up the sleeping Undead. Since this god itself is awakened by the combined consciousness of the Undead, whether it has consciousness or not, it continually sends out the call of resurrection to the Undead."

"Are all these your speculations?" The old Beastman suddenly asked.

"Yes, just speculations." Mina nodded: "But, they are the only reasonable explanations that can be made after the entire Drake race has eliminated many speculations."

"So, if we want to solve the problem at its root, what should we do? Seal the passage?" Kyle recalled the purpose of his trip.
