Don't let the cover image fool you, the storytelling flows really well and the writing style is humorous and light. The plot frames each new setting immaculately without being repetitive. The characters are quirky and hilarious.  It would be very helpful to understanding the metaphors with some knowledge of common Chinese sayings, like a boy's "little brother" and eating vinegar, etc.  I'm only on chapter 50 so I have a long way to go. It's a slow burn but a very interesting one, I'm fully invested.   I will update or leave a comment once I reach the end. I'm already I looking forward to reading all of the author's works once I complete this one.
