Chapter 2285: Wiped clean

"It’s actually turning on?" I was shocked to find the screen of the computer turning on in the end.

Even though this place clearly shouldn’t have had any power with how it looked abandoned, it turned out that this wasn’t the case.

I walked over to the light switch as well and it turned out that it wasn’t just the computer alone that had power. It was the entire building that was receiving power from an unknown source.

I couldn’t help thinking about the elevator from earlier when I saw this.

"If I had tried the elevator and there was no power at all, then it would have been embarrassing..."

With a shake of my head, I tossed that thought out and focused on the computer screen in front of me.

The familiar scene of my desktop appeared.

There weren’t that many icons that were on the desktop since I was someone that didn’t play many games to begin with. The only games that I did play were games that helped me relieve my ’stress’, like the h-game that this world was based on.

It was also this game that I was the most interested in right now.

After all, being able to get information from that game and apply it to this world definitely would give me an advantage. It was also what I had been doing this entire time, but I was relying purely on my memories alone.

If there was a copy of the game in front of me, it would certainly give me much more information than what I could remember.

Only when I looked at the screen closely, I found that the icon I was looking for was missing.

After a second of being surprised, I just did the logical thing and opened up file explorer to see if I could find it. It was just that no matter how I tried searching for it, it didn’t seem like there was a trace of the game on my computer.

Once I was certain that it wasn’t installed, I turned around to look at one of the shelves and started searching for the disc that should be there.

It was a collector’s edition that I had bought that had a physical copy of the game, so I was thinking about using that to install the game back on the computer.

However, I didn’t find a single trace of that collector’s edition.

Ignoring the disc itself, I didn’t even find a single trace of the additional items that came with the collector’s edition. It was as if everything that was related to that game had been erased without leaving a single trace.

No matter how I looked around the room, I just couldn’t find a single trace of anything related to the game.

Even when I started searching the entire house, I just wasn’t able to find anything.

It was as if everything that was related to that game was just deleted from this entire world.

So the only thing that I could do was...

"There’s even an internet connection..." A wry smile appeared on my face when I saw the connection.

I hadn’t really expected anything when I tried this, but it turned out that this was actually the right move as it was connected. Though looking at it, it didn’t seem like there was anything related to what I wanted to see.

Searching through all of the game forums and walkthrough sites that I used in the past, I couldn’t find anything that mentioned the game.

Even when I started searching for anything related to the game company or even the publisher, there were no traces at all that they had existed.

Just like with the game itself, it was as if someone had wiped out everything that was related to the game. It was as if they had been completely wiped from existence with how thorough of a job they did.

It wasn’t as if I couldn’t guess why this was the case.

This world was based on that game in the first place and whoever had made this replica city certainly wouldn’t have left traces of that.

In the first place, it was already strange that there was this replica city here to begin with.

Though after thinking about it, I already had a good idea of who it was that had created this place.

If there was anyone that was capable of this, it was definitely the God of Creation...

"Why is the God of Creation doing all of this in the first place? Could it be that there’s something that they want from my past life?"

The more that I thought about it, the more confused I was about what this situation was.

Which was why I started looking for more clues.

While I had no idea what this place was for, clues would give me an idea of why this place was built.

The best way to do that was to explore the web.

From scrolling through the web, I found one interesting thing that was common on all the websites that I searched.

"The date...there’s nothing past this date. In fact, there’s nothing past this time of that date."

The date itself was familiar to me, but I had to think about what the time meant...

"It’s the exact time of my death."

Or it should be since even I wasn’t certain what the exact time was when I died since I had been in the middle of playing that game. I only had a general idea since I had looked at the clock before I started gaming.

Once again, it seemed like everything about this place was connected to me.

Only I didn’t understand why it was connected to the point where even everything was frozen right at the moment of my death.

There was a small part of me that was disappointed since I had no idea what happened after my death.

But at the same time, I was more worried about, "What does the God of Creation want from me?"
