In my agitated state, I hadn’t been able to hold back at all.

When I turned around, I couldn’t help swinging a sword that had condensed in my hand.

The target was naturally where the voice came from.

It was just that when I swung out, I found that there was something incredibly hard that stopped my sword. It sent a shock up my arm that made it turn numb, forcing me to drop the sword that I had condensed.

The loud sound that came from the clash was more than enough to show how hard the thing that I hit was.

Only this thing was just a simple light shield that had been condensed by the figure that was there.

It was so thin that I could easily see through it and it seemed like it would have shattered with just a single blow. But that full force swing of mine had been stopped and my hand had turned numb from hitting it.

This appearance really was deceiving...

After taking a few seconds to calm down, I asked, "What are you doing here?"

It wasn’t as if I didn’t recognize this figure that appeared, it was just that I was surprised that they would be here. After all, they should have only shown themselves when I went to the statue to see them.

For them to come here now was completely different from anything that had happened in the past.

Which meant that there had to be something that changed...

"Is there something wrong with me coming to see you? You’re the one that was looking for me in the first place."

Though it sounded like they were just being friendly with me, it really was hard for me to see it that way. After all, they had appeared at the exact moment that I had discovered the disappearance of my mother.

No matter how one looked at it, it was suspicious.

After another long moment of silence, the God of Creation actually gave a sigh.

With that sigh, they said, "I know what you’re thinking, but things aren’t like that. As long as you receive this final inheritance, you’ll learn the truth."

Though it sounded sincere, it was hard for me to trust them at this point.

With everything that I had learned, it didn’t feel like there was anything that could be trusted.

It was just that there was some truth in their next words.

"Even if you don’t want to take it, it’s something that you’ll take because you need this power, right?"

This was the one thing that struck me hard and I wasn’t able to deny these words at all. They had hit me in a weak spot and I didn’t know what to say in response.

It really felt like they were trapping me in a corner.’

There were a few things that I had learned in the trial that they had prepared, but that wasn’t enough for me to actually fight back against the forces of Destruction or the God of Creation.

So the only thing that I can do now is...

"If you want to see her again, then accept it."

The moment that the God of Creation said this, I couldn’t stop myself from condensing the same sword as before. The only thing that I was able to stop myself from doing was swinging that sword at the God of Creation, even though I certainly wanted to do so.

"Why did you create this place?"

I asked back through gritted teeth instead of answering that provocation.

"It’s an important place to me too. That’s why I created this replica because I wanted to remember this place for what it was."

"Why?" That was the only thing that I could ask.

No matter how I thought about it, it didn’t seem like there was any kind of connection between the God of Creation and this previous life of mine. Yet the sincere tone in the God of Creation’s voice...

It didn’t seem like that ball of light was special based on appearance alone, but there was this feeling that came from this ball of light. That feeling was more than enough to tell me what this was.

It was the same feeling that I felt from all those statues before.

This was the final inheritance that I had been looking for.

Only there was something foreboding about this.

For some reason, it felt like everything would change the moment that I accepted this.

It wasn’t just because of how the God of Creation was acting, it was also because of this strange connection that came from this inheritance.

I couldn’t exactly describe what that feeling was, but I could tell that it wasn’t good.

Taking a deep breath, I asked, "What will happen to me after this?"

"You will become what you were supposed to become." The God of Creation actually didn’t hide this from me.

It was also because of these words that I grabbed the ball of light.
