"Where is this?" I thought to myself at first, but it didn’t take long for me to realize what happened.

After all, this was something that had happened before and it wasn’t once or twice that this happened.

It was clear that I was inside of some kind of memory.

It was just like what happened when I received the other three inheritances.

The only difference was that there wasn’t anything here.

As far as I could see, it seemed like this place was completely devoid of anything.

But there was one thing that I did recognize.

"This room is the exact same room as before."

Since I had already appeared in this room before, I was able to tell that this room was the same room that I had seen the tubes in previously. It meant that I was in the same research facility as before.

However, it didn’t seem like there was any kind of research that was going on.

"Am I in the past or the future?"

There were only two scenarios possible if these tubes were empty.

One was that I had gone to the past when the experiments hadn’t started yet.

Two was that I had gone into the future when the experiments had already finished.

It was just that no matter how I looked around, I wasn’t able to find a single clue that told me which one of the two options it was.

When I looked around, all I could do was look at all of the different empty tubes that were here. It seemed like they were ready for experimentation whenever it was needed, but that alone wasn’t enough to tell me anything.

At the same time, I wasn’t able to leave this place.

Whenever I tried to leave this place, there was this invisible wall that appeared to stop me. Even when I tried using the door, the same thing happened where I was just stopped by something invisible.

Whoever had brought me here clearly didn’t want me leaving this place.

However, there wasn’t anything that was special about this room in the first place that they would go through all this trouble just to keep me here. It seemed like there was nothing to gain from me staying in this place.

"So what do I do now?" I asked myself with a trace of helplessness.

As if in response to this, there was something that finally changed in this place.

The door suddenly opened and the light was allowed to come into this room.

But even with the light on, it wasn’t as if there was anything new for me to see.

Instead, it was the figure that was standing there at the door that drew my attention.

I recognized this figure with a single glance since it was the same as before.

This was a figure that had their face completely blocked, so I wasn’t able to see a trace of them. This was clearly the God of Creation that I had seen so many times before.

From the way that the God of Creation was acting, it seemed like it was going through some kind of checklist.

After opening the door, the God of Creation looked around and said, "It seems like this room is ready."

Then without waiting for a response, they checked off a few things on their list and turned to leave.

When they turned to leave, I didn’t hesitate to follow behind them.

I had no idea what would have happened to me if I stayed there, but it wasn’t as if there was any way out for me if I didn’t do anything.

With the God of Creation here, it seemed like the invisible force that had been keeping me locked in the room disappeared. Though when I reached out towards the wall beside me, I could feel that this force was still there.

It was just the door that this force had disappeared from.

The God of Creation didn’t seem to waste any time as they continued through the halls of this research facility.

This hallway itself really was the perfect example of what a research lab should be.

It was white and void of anything other than the lights on the ceiling.

After following the God of Creation for a bit, I couldn’t find anything strange about this place.

It really seemed like this was nothing more than a standard research facility with all of the things that were here. Though I already knew what this research facility would be used for later on.

The equipment that the God of Creation was inspecting was all the same equipment that I had seen in the previous memories.

All of these were used to creating humanity and watching over them.

From this piece of evidence, I was at least able to confirm one thing.

"We are moving further and further in the past, but why? It isn’t as if seeing this will help me in any way and it’s not as if there’s anything for the God of Creation to gain for showing me this?"

The more that I thought about it, the more confused I was about all of this.

However, it wasn’t as if I had any control over this matter.

In the first place, this memory was a scene that I was being shown.

I was nothing more than a spectator in this place, so it wasn’t as if I could influence it in any way. All I had to do was watch whatever was being shown to me and see what I could gain from it.

After a few more rooms of the same thing, it seemed like the God of Creation was finally satisfied with what they saw.

"That’s the last one. It seems like everything is in order." They even gave a satisfied nod before checking off what seemed to be the last item on their list.

Then the God of Creation suddenly said, "It’s time to check on the children."
