Just as the conversation between the two had just concluded, the hotel room door suddenly swung open, followed by a surge of people dressed in black.

The assassin hurriedly shielded Shangguan Xuanjie, intending to protect him from harm.

Amidst the black-clad men, there was a man in a wheelchair. When Shangguan Xuanjie saw this man, his previously smug expression vanished instantly, replaced by a look of shock.

"Su Changfeng, what are you doing here?" Shangguan Xuanjie hid behind the assassin and spoke.

"Shangguan Xuanjie, are you surprised by my sudden arrival?" Su Changfeng spoke with a mocking tone. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

Shangguan Xuanjie’s previously confident demeanor turned cold upon seeing Su Changfeng’s sudden aggression.

How could Su Changfeng have found his location? Could it be that Kong Yafei, that lackey, made a mistake in kidnapping Yue Qingshan? But that shouldn’t be the case; Kong Yafei had clearly reported success in kidnapping Yue Qingshan. Could it be that Su Changfeng managed to find Kong Yafei quickly and used some techniques on him, causing Kong Yafei to betray him?

But it couldn’t be!

Shangguan Xuanjie believed it was impossible, even though Kong Yafei was still in the area, the place was very hidden. No matter how skilled Su Changfeng was, he couldn’t have found Kong Yafei so quickly.

Shangguan Xuanjie thought that perhaps Su Changfeng didn’t know, and continuing to stand off wasn’t a solution. He needed to find an excuse to see if he could get past this.

"Su Changfeng, why did you bring such a large group to my place? I had time recently and wanted to relax, so I came here for a vacation." Shangguan Xuanjie explained.

"You say you’re here to relax?" Su Changfeng’s lips curled into a sneer as he spoke, "Are you aware that Shangguan Sichen contacted me not long ago? Want to guess what he might have told me?"

"Hmm? What does grandfather want from you?" Shangguan Xuanjie asked curiously.

"Shangguan Sichen instructed me that anyone who comes here and poses any threat to me, their fate is mine to decide, without needing to consult him." Su Changfeng said flatly.

Although Su Changfeng’s tone was calm, the words hit Shangguan Xuanjie like a lightning strike. Shangguan Sichen had given such instructions to Su Changfeng, making his intentions very clear. If he found out Shangguan Xuanjie was against him, his fate was in Su Changfeng’s hands without needing to consult further.

"I didn’t expect grandfather to instruct you like that, but his words are also clear. People who pose threats to you; I’m only here as a tourist, I’ve done nothing to harm you." Shangguan Xuanjie insisted on denying, thinking that as long as no evidence was caught, it wasn’t certain, and he definitely wouldn’t admit it.

"You mean you’re just here for tourism? The matter of instructing Kong Yajie to kidnap Yue Qingshan has nothing to do with you?" Su Changfeng said coldly.

Shangguan Xuanjie feigned a surprised expression and deliberately said, "Who’s Kong Yafei? Who’s Yue Qingshan? What relations do they have with me?"

When Su Changfeng heard this, his lips curled into a cold smile. It seems Shangguan Xuanjie really wouldn’t cry until he saw the coffin. Su Changfeng said flatly, "Do you really think arranging for Kong Yafei to kidnap Yue Qingshan would leave me unaware that you were behind it? Shangguan Xuanjie, your mind is truly simple."

To Su Changfeng, Shangguan Xuanjie’s actions were akin to covering one’s ears while stealing a bell.

For Shangguan Xuanjie, this was undoubtedly a brilliant plan; his heart swelled with pride, thinking Su Changfeng was no match for him, and could only be toyed with.

But he hadn’t anticipated that what he thought was a brilliant plan would appear foolish to Su Changfeng, which was utterly shocking to Shangguan Xuanjie.

Yet, he could not admit it now, continuously emphasizing that he had nothing to do with the matter. For if Su Changfeng truly obtained evidence, with Su Changfeng’s personality, he wouldn’t leave here peacefully today, and might even die here.

"Su Changfeng, if you hadn’t told me, I wouldn’t even know about this, and why do you claim Kong Yafei’s kidnapping of Yue Qingshan was orchestrated by me? I don’t even know the Kong Yafei you mention, let alone Yue Qingshan." Shangguan Xuanjie defended himself.

"Ha, truly adept at arguing; however, do I, Su Changfeng, need a reason to kill you?" Su Changfeng looked at Shangguan Xuanjie coldly and said.

That gaze from Su Changfeng caused Shangguan Xuanjie’s heart to tremble. Indeed, if Su Changfeng wished to kill him now, he needed no reason, and looking at Su Changfeng’s demeanor, he didn’t seem inclined to let him go.

The assassin standing in front of Shangguan Xuanjie heard Su Changfeng’s threat to kill his master and spoke up to assert his presence, saying with a contemptuous tone, "With your little skills, sitting in a wheelchair, do you have the ability?"

The assassin knew how to show his value, and his words bolstered Shangguan Xuanjie, reminding him that he had a highly-paid bodyguard by his side.

Even though Su Changfeng lacked evidence, if he intended to kill him on the spot, he would first have to deal with the bodyguard!

"Su Changfeng, stop boasting, don’t forget you’re in a wheelchair now?" Shangguan Xuanjie raised an eyebrow and said.

An Yufei, pushing Su Changfeng’s wheelchair, took a step forward and glanced disdainfully at Shangguan Xuanjie’s assassin, speaking with a scornful tone, "Daring to be arrogant before me."

"Ha, you’re too arrogant, let me show you what I’m capable of." After saying this, the assassin prepared to strike first.

An Yufei maintained his languid demeanor as if he hadn’t rested well. Truthfully, a bodyguard like Shangguan Xuanjie’s did not merit An Yufei’s attention; dealing with such useless minions was beneath him.

"If outsiders heard I dealt with such worthless minions, they’d surely say I’m bullying you. However, since you’ve spoken such arrogant words, if I don’t deal with you, who will?" An Yufei said.

An Shijie’s assassin seemed skilled, very quick in action, and exceptionally strong. Yet, even so, he did not merit An Yufei’s attention.
