100X Return System: My Talent Awakening Becomes a God-Level Cheat-Chapter 21: The Awaited Battle [2]
Aegon was taken aback when he saw the monster standing still with no bruises whatsoever.
It came as a shock for a moment, but he had thought that perhaps he did give it the right impact.
"Obviously..."
Aegon didn’t think too much about it, as his lips curved into a smile.
He began walking towards the horde of monsters with confidence, and then he picked up the pace.
He started running towards the monsters, his target was the largest, as it was the biggest threat to him.
"If that didn’t work, then I’ll have to use the better version."
While he was running, Aegon thought of how he was going to use the skill [Particle Execution] without stopping, because that would only make him vulnerable.
He had to think of a way to use the skill that would affect the entire monsters as well as the elder sibling.
Just as he was thinking, as if they were listening to his thoughts, the smaller monsters charged, and under two breaths, they surrounded Aegon.
"Huh?"
Aegon was startled at their formation. He looked around, and felt as if they were using a strategy against him.
But mere monsters couldn’t use much advanced method for preying on their opponents, the only explanation.
He turned to the largest monster.
"As expected, that monster has some sense of intelligence."
A smile played on his lips as he stretched his hand left and right towards the smaller monsters.
"Skill... Particle Execution!"
He called out the skill, but nothing seemed to happen, as the monsters all looked at him with a puzzled expression.
"What?..."
Aegon was taken aback, while he instinctively gazed at the massive monster before him.
However, before he could finish speaking, a large shadow towered behind him, and in that instant he felt a massive blow on his abdomen,
The blow sent him flying twenty feet to the air, and then landed at a far end on the ground, a mouthful of blood escaping his mouth.
Aegon couldn’t believe it, his gaze was on the monster, so what happened? What hit him?
He tried to stand up but fell down back to the ground as his body wouldn’t carry him.
Knowing this, Aegon widens his eyes looking for whatever hit him, and just then he sees two of the same massive monster.
’What, two?’ he exclaimed in his heart, as his mouth was occupied with his blood.
It was impossible, there can’t be two of them, it had always been one so where did a second one appear from?
’Did the first one I killed resurrect? No, it was erased from existence. Besides...’
It was impossible for that monster to resurrect and it wasn’t even it. The second monster looked exactly like the other.
They were about identical, from the horn on their head, the colors and patterns of their fur, and their size.
It was like a copy of the other.
Aegon, was still trying to solve what was going on, when suddenly the massive monster which he was facing before he got hit, began to vibrate abnormally; like it was cracking, glitching.
"What the..."
Suddenly, the glitching monster began moving to the direction of the other monster that had appeared behind Aegon’s back earlier.
It stood still gazing at Aegon, and Aegon could see with his own eyes the movement of the other monster vibrating.
As it got close enough to the other monster, something very strange happened.
They both merged together, into one single monster.
It was madness.
Aegon couldn’t believe it, how? How was it possible?
It was no surprise that the monster had intelligence, and with that, it would need something to secure it.
Therefore, it was expected that it had magical powers in it.
Among the rest of the monsters, this was the only one with the strongest appearance, energy and size.
It was only expected. Whoever placed these monsters here, obviously knew what they were doing.
Aegon was startled after seeing how the monster had made use of its power. It could perceive mana so it was only expected.
He tried to get up, his left hand holding his stomach, while his right supporting him to stand.
Just then, his eyes caught the pop up of the system window beside him.
[MP (Mana Pool): 0/12]
[Without MP, no skills or abilities can be used.]
[MP would be restored after a while.]
[Ding! New Quest Available!]
[Survive the enemy attack for five minutes.]
[Failure, will result in lack of increment to MP, and HP (Health Point) reduction! Extra; Loss of Life!]
[Current HP: 80/100]
[Time remaining: (00:05:58) ]
Aegon read the message on the system and realized why his ability did not work earlier.
It turns out that all the skills he had been using before were running on his MP, and now that it had reached zero he is unable to use them.
"My MP? HP? A new Quest?"
He scanned through the instructions of the quest as he stood up to his feet; his left hand still on his waist.
Currently, he had zero MP which was his Mana Pool, and without it he was unable to make use of his abilities and skills.
"Five minutes? Just five minutes? I can do that."
Aegon felt a bit worried, although he exchanged it with determination.
What if the monsters had intelligence? What if it had magical powers? What if it was ten times his size?
All those things don’t matter. What mattered is the will and determination to defeat it.
Aegon was already on his feet, his left hand away from his stomach, as he used it to clean off the blood on his lips.
"Nothing is stopping me from this victory!"
Aegon charged at the monster, and for some reason the massive monster didn’t move, instead the small ones moved.
They came from several directions chasing Aegon while he ran and dodged them.
He didn’t run to the direction of the massive monster but the opposite, he wasn’t mad.
Although there was determination, he didn’t mistake it for foolishness. If by a mistake he finds himself near that monster, he is going to collect another blow.
And his HP would reduce drastically.
[Time remaining: (00:04:37) ]
As he ran, about four monsters were chasing from behind. Not all of them, but just four.
This almost got Aegon confused as to why the larger monster didn’t send all its minions.
But it was intelligent, the monster knew Aegon had an ability that could wipe out its entire minions in a second, so why would it take the risk?
It is better to send a few and tire him, before striking with full force.
Of course, the monster didn’t know that Aegon couldn’t make use of any of his abilities at the moment.
This was Aegon’s only advantage.
[Time remaining: (00:03:49) ]
Out of the four monsters chasing Aegon, one dashed further as though it wanted to be the only one to catch the prey and claim the price.
However, Aegon was able to quickly see it and dodge. The monster had leaped, but as Aegon dodged, it fell to the ground, twisted its neck and died.
[Time remaining: (00:02:56) ]
The remaining three monsters didn’t even bother about their fallen brother and continued chasing after Aegon.
It was at this moment the massive monster noticed something strange. Aegon had been running and dodging but didn’t use any abilities even after how close the monsters were to thin.
With this in mind, the massive monster sent out three other wolves to chase Aegon, and he did nothing, but dodge.
[Time remaining: (00:02:27) ]
No ability used.
It was at this moment that the massive monster knew that Aegon didn’t have his ability anymore, or was unable to make use of it.
Either way, this was the best time for it to strike.
At this moment, the monster sent all the remaining wolves to Aegon.
[Time remaining: (00:01:59) ]
They all rushed Aegon and began leaping at him, sometimes he was able to dodge, other he couldn’t and was scratched by their claws.
[Time remaining: (00:01:30) ]
Aegon was getting overpowered by the large numbers of the monsters attacking him.
[Time remaining: (00:01:10) ]
Although they were small in size, their numbers were a lot.
[Time remaining: (00:00:30) ]
At this moment, about ten monsters had already found their way on Aegon and placed him on the ground, hitting and scratching him like he was dinner.
[Time remaining: (00:00:10) ]
As it was going on, Aegon could see the timer on the system, his eyes beginning to glow dark purple.
[Time remaining: (00:00:05) ]
The monsters thought they had won, and victory was theirs, but unfortunately they were wrong.
[Time remaining: (00:00:00) ]
[Ding! Quest Notice!]

[MP has been restored to its fullest!]
[Reward for completing quest has been obtained, increment in MP!]
[Previous; MP: 0/12]

A purple light emerged from where Aegon was, engulfing him and all the monsters stacked on him, just then, a voice roared.
"Come... Particle Execution!"
