Cane had not advertised his guild publicly, but he had not strived to hide it either. Since his guild was invite-only, he knew that there was no point in hiding it. He was going to only accept people he wanted....or recognized.

Cane ignored the jabs that were being thrown his way and waited for Heera to come. She did not take long when she arrived, and she looked nervous and excited at the same time.

Her bubbly voice called out to Cane’s fans as well as they greeted Heera... not that she could see it because she was not in his stream or had access to it.

But she was still nice enough to keep her voice cheerful. Cane gave her a small nod as she skipped over to join him and draped her arms around his shoulder.

"You are so mean. You started a guild and did not even bother to give your partner an invite? I even left my previous guild because I was waiting for you to ask me to join yours."

Heera pouted as she told Cane this. Her voice sounded sincere, causing a lot of fans to start posting ’!’ in the chat.

But Cane knew that Heera was just playing around. If she had left her previous guild, then it must be because of the rumored fight he had heard about so much. There was no other reason for her to do what she did.

Still, since she had played around with Cane, he decided to play around with her as well.

"Is that so? Then I guess I have no choice but to offer you a place in our guild. But only if you are able to find it and send me a request yourself. Surely, a smart person such as you can do it easily?"

Cane asked, and Heera took the challenge.

Cane told Heera, and she nodded. This was their last day of working together before Cane had to start on his quest. He did not want to accidentally over-level and miss a part of the chain quest. And he was about to hit level 52 by now.

So after a few more rounds in the dungeons, he decided to call it a day. Ai came back as well, and she was happy as well with her progress.

The next day, it was finally time for them to start the chain quest. They needed to start their hike to the holy city.

It was the only place where fast-travel was prohibited. So to get there, people had to hike a full day on a road filled with monsters. It was, by no means, an easy thing to do. Most people gave up halfway and decided they could not do it anymore.

But Cane and Ai were not people who were about to give up. They bought their capes to block out the sand from a merchant and then started the hike.

The rocky desert road pushed them back, and the dry air made their lungs and throats hurt.

But they had no choice but to keep pushing forward. The deadline for the chain quest was approaching fast, and if they did not hurry, then this quest might never get fulfilled by them.

"Let’s go, Ai. If you feel tired, then tell me. I will slow down for you."
