A Farmer's Journey To Immortality-Chapter 451: Haitin Blackblood Weds Siya Solaris
Blackblood Sect. Wild Devil Lands.
Dandangar Subcontinent.
Inside the grand palace that sat in the heart of the Blackblood Sect's core territory, Aksai lay stretched out on a long, soft couch in a spacious room.
This was the same palace where Haitin had hosted him before.
Nothing much had changed. The scent of burning incense still lingered in the air, the same expensive kind used by high-level alchemists. The large floor tiles glowed softly with Spirit essence, and the murals on the ceiling danced with faint light.
He stared at the roof lazily.
Truth be told, he didn't want to be here.
He had other plans. He wanted to leave the Wild Devil Lands, cross the mighty Shiju River, and make his way into the Eternal Beast Dynasty.
That was where his next goal awaited—the Aether Beast. That creature was important, and Aksai didn't want to waste any more time. However, for some reason, the closer he was to his goal, the harder it had become to actually get it.
But life wasn't always that simple.
The Blackblood Lord had personally requested Aksai to attend a special event.
Today was the wedding day of Haitin—the Blackblood Lord's son.
Haitin was set to marry one of the daughters of the Sun Ocean Lord, the princess named Siya Solaris.
It wasn't just a normal wedding.
It was a formal establishment of relationship between two sects of opposite factions.
This was an arranged marriage made for the benefits of two large organizations that stood behind the bride and groom.
It was a rare and important day in the Dadangar Subcontinent's recent history.
The Sun Ocean Lord was an obvious choice but even the remaining four Core Formation Lords from the righteous faction had been invited.
It meant all of the known Core Formation lords in the Dadangar Subcontinent would be meeting each other for the first time in a long while. That almost never happened.
Usually, when righteous and demonic factions met, the ground would be stained with blood. But today, they would be under the same roof... without swords drawn.
The Frostbound Lord had confirmed his attendance too. Only the Yaksha Lord hadn't been officially invited. But even then, many expected him to show up anyway.
Aksai narrowed his eyes.
One had to remember that the Yaksha Lord had attacked and fatally injured the Blackblood Lord inside the Holy Land Torel.
It had been a betrayal that cost a powerful cultivator his life. The Blackblood Lord could be said to be a walking dead because of it. Although he could delay the inevitable using the sect's resources, he couldn't save himself from eventuality anymore.
And yet, here they were—preparing for a wedding where even enemies might gather.
Politics at the top of the Dadangar Subcontinent were muddy and twisted.
Even though the Blackblood Lord had sent a strong message by killing the Yaksha Lord's low-level cultivators, he couldn't cut the man off completely.
Not with the righteous Lords watching. Not today.
The Blackblood Sect and Mroot Yaksha sect could open a front for cold war with each other in the future. They could start attacking each other's core regions and try to usurp each other's authority. But they couldn't directly put everything on the line and battle to death with each other.
This was what it meant by the restrictions imposed by the politics and responsibilities.
Aksai sighed and shook his head.
"Too many masks," he muttered.
Still, he had agreed to come, so he would keep his word. It was too early in his plans to start making strong enemies.
The wedding ceremony would be over soon and he'd put his matters related to the Blackblood sect to rest in a few days, settling everything.
He could then move on with his plans. With the help of the Blackblood Sect, his journey might become smoother than he had previously imagined.
Perhaps, Haitin would provide him additional help considering he had managed to bring his father back in his dying days.

With a simple gesture of his fingers, he gathered a bit of wood-element spirit energy.
A green vine snaked quietly from the floor and reached under the heavy doors, sliding outside into the hallway where a young maid was sitting on a small chair.
She was dozing off, her head nodding lightly.
The vine crept near her feet and bloomed into a red rose. Then it gently smacked her on the side of her leg with the flower's soft petals.
"Ah!" the maid squeaked and sat up straight.
When she saw the vine and the red rose, her cheeks turned red with embarrassment. She bit her lip and smiled to herself. She knew what this meant.
The young guest inside the chamber was awake.
She stood quickly, fixed her hair, then walked up to the large doors and knocked softly—more out of formality than anything else. Aksai had already let her know.
Then, with careful steps, she entered the room.
"Good morning, young master Aksai," she said with a gentle voice. "Do you need help preparing for the ceremony?"
Aksai sat up slowly, brushing his fingers through his messy hair.

"Yes. Let's get it over with," he said.
The maid was the same one who had attended Aksai during his previous stay.
Even though he had spent a very passionate night with her the day before, she was still as timid as ever. Aksai didn't mind.
He had to admit—Haitin was really good at making sure he was comfortable.
He gestured to the maid to begin the preparations. Eventually, he let go of his thoughts and stepped into the bathing section of the chamber, where the maid had already prepared everything in advance.
As soon as she began washing his body, Aksai let go of all distracting thoughts.
Today wasn't his day.
But that didn't mean he wouldn't watch things unfold.
After all, when powerful people gathered… secrets always had a way of slipping out.
And Aksai was very good at listening.
Hmmm… so comfortable… I should take this maid back with me when I return to the Emerald Cove. She's very good with her hands. I'm sure Haitin wouldn't mind.
Aksai thought to himself as he relaxed into the royal-like bath.

After an hour later.
Aksai stood in front of the full-length mirror as the maid carefully adjusted the folds of his robe.
It was a long, pristine black robe with silver threads running across its edges, forming a quiet, elegant pattern of clouds.
The maid fixed the collar and smoothed out the wrinkles on his sleeves. She moved with practiced hands, her eyes lowered, barely speaking. Once everything looked perfect, she stepped back and gave a polite bow.
"Young Master Aksai, everything is ready."
Aksai nodded slightly, taking one last glance in the mirror before following her out of the room.
The palace's wide doors opened, and they stepped into the outer courtyard.
Two guards at the entrance bowed deeply as he passed, their heads lowered in respect.
Aksai walked with a quiet air, not too proud but not hiding either. He kept his hands folded behind his back, walking at a steady pace as the maid led him to the wedding venue.
The path was lined with flowering trees, their petals gently falling with the wind.
Decorative Spirit essence lanterns floated above, glowing softly with eye-pleasing light. Some were shaped like beasts, while others shimmered with elemental auras. The colors changed slowly, from warm golds to soft blues and gentle greens.
They arrived at the grand wedding plaza, built right next to a Spirit Spring Lake. The lake shimmered with spiritual energy, and golden lotuses floated over its calm surface. A long red carpet stretched across the open stone-paved ground, leading to a large ceremonial stage at the front.
The stage was carved from black spirit stone and decorated with crimson banners holding the emblems of both the Blackblood Sect and the Sun Ocean Society.
Above the stage, a crystal canopy sparkled under the sun, projecting soft rays of colored light. Tall trees surrounded the whole venue, their leaves moving gently with the breeze.
Arrays of chairs and cushioned seats were placed neatly in rows on both sides of the red carpet.
Righteous sect members and demonic faction members sat with straight backs, keeping polite expressions. This was neutral ground, at least for today.
As Aksai walked past the rows, low-level Spirit cultivators turned and bowed deeply. Some whispered to each other, their eyes filled with curiosity and respect.
After all, this young man had returned from the Holy Land Torel together with the Blackblood Lord himself. He was known to be Young Master Haitin's close friend.
Aksai nodded at a few Foundation Building experts who greeted him with polite smiles. He gave a calm smile in return, acting with the poise expected of someone standing at the edge of important circles.
He didn't say much, only returning greetings and continuing to walk.
His eyes slowly swept across the wedding venue, taking in every detail—the seating arrangements, the positions of the guards, the locations of the Core Formation Lords. He didn't look anxious or excited. Just calm and alert.

After an hour later.
A gentle chime rang out across the wedding plaza, its sound like a soft bell echoing in the wind. It was the signal.
Everyone in the audience quieted down.
The gentle hum of quiet talk disappeared as the Spirit Spring Lake stilled, its surface becoming like a polished mirror.
The wind slowed. Even the falling flower petals seemed to pause in mid-air.
The wedding was about to begin.
