Chapter 405: 405 Corridor Combat

[Donald’s Perspective]

"After entering the hospital, take the longest corridor on your left, keep going, and it’s the second-to-last ward," Licia replied without hesitation this time.

As she spoke, she looked up at me, her eyes red, and tugged at the corner of my cloak. "I won’t stop you from saving Margaret, but Levi has turned the place into a dragon’s lair. It’s full of dangers once you’re inside, so be very careful! I know I can’t dissuade you or change anyone else’s mind, but Margaret is the most innocent and pitiful person in this grudge; she shouldn’t suffer all this. It’s right for you to rescue her."

Upon hearing this, I lowered my head to look at Licia, without giving a response. I was somewhat baffled by Licia now, as she actually seemed to care for Margaret!

As if guessing my surprise and confusion, Licia gave a self-mocking smile and continued, "When I was first pregnant with you, I was as unstable as Margaret. She can’t get proper care here. For the sake of my beloved grandson and both of your children, I will help you complete this task this time!"

I silently looked at Licia for a while, then stood up from the ground, made a departure gesture to Elliot, and lightly said to Licia, "No need! Just take good care of yourself and stay out of the conflict between us. I would be very grateful. I will have some Lycans escort you off the island immediately. Please leave this place of contention early, consider this my final request, okay?"

Upon hearing this, Licia cried, her tears uncontrollable. She nodded slightly, as if agreeing to my suggestion.

I quietly breathed a sigh of relief and gestured to the Lycans nearby to take her to a safe place.

Talking to Licia didn’t take much of my time. Five minutes after Christian had left, I also began to forcefully breach the hospital’s defense line with the Lycans at my side!

They were well-equipped, immediately raising their guns to guard upon spotting us, and notified all the werewolf soldiers behind them at once.

Elliot’s assault team, the fiercest and most formidable among all the Lycans of Royal City, even my personal guard force’s Lycans were slightly inferior to them, let alone these ordinary werewolf soldiers. Facing the combined forces of the assault team and personal guard force, they were like children who had just learned to walk!

With the full protection of many Lycans, Wolf’s silvery-white figure among these werewolf soldiers looked as if he was walking on flat ground.

["These guys’ combat strength is really lacking. Why did Licia say it was so dangerous here? I don’t feel it at all! Although it’s only been a few days since I’ve seen Margaret, it feels like centuries have passed. If I come across the one who hurt Margaret later, I’ll definitely kill them with one swipe of my paw!"] Wolf muttered to himself, his shadow darting through the enemies like a silvery-white blade.

I didn’t respond to Wolf’s words, just sharpened my gaze towards the hospital doors! Wolf is my wolf, so naturally, his feelings are the truest reflection of my own inner thoughts.

Elliot remained vigilant, guarding my surroundings; everywhere he passed was filled with enemy blood and corpses.

"Your Majesty! Let me go in first to check the situation inside," Elliot suggested. "Christian just notified me via mind-link that they have entered the hospital, but Levi has discovered them, and they are currently fighting!"

At his words, I paused momentarily, taking a sharp breath and quickly replied, "Just storm in and join them. Your primary task later won’t be to protect me but to find Margaret’s ward and guard it until I arrive."

Elliot seemed about to say something else but I stopped him with a glance, "These people can’t get close to me; I don’t need that many people to guard my safety. Finding Margaret is what’s most important, understood?"

After hearing my command, Elliot’s expression turned solemn. He nodded ’yes’ and charged ahead to lead the way!

The two heavy machine gunners at the hospital entrance were swiftly taken out by my Lycans’ bullets, allowing us to easily enter the hospital corridor. With Elliot leading the assault team, my path became remarkably smooth—if only we could ignore the occasional monsters that popped out to launch sneak attacks!

["What on earth are these monsters? Why are they so disgusting? My claws couldn’t even slash through its neck; can it not be killed?"] Wolf asked, puzzled and slightly irate.

I looked around at the corridor environment and spoke directly, ["Poison Snake Island is essentially Henry’s lair. It’s not strange that such creatures are here. Haven’t you seen them before? The heart and brain are their only weak spots. Just attack these parts directly!"]

As I was speaking, a sudden figure flashed in the corner of my eyes, and I urgently warned, ["To the left!"]

Wolf reacted swiftly, slightly sidestepping to dodge the attack and, as the creature was about to land, flashed his claws and fiercely swatted it away!
