Chapter 326: Go Deal With Sasha

Raegar was about to respond, the soft creak of the lounge door snapped his attention away from the older woman. Just then, Alice and Nivara stepped into the room, with damp hair and relaxed expressions. He noticed the Dark Elf’s eyes flicked between the two of them, a knowing smirk tugging at her lip as if she knew something.

’’Well, well,’’ she teased, crossing her arms as the duo sat down to get comfortable. ’’Looks like we’re interrupting something naughty.’’

Alice raised an eyebrow, her green eyes full of suspicion. ’’Getting cozy, are we?’’ she expressed, her gaze lingering on the older woman’s hand still resting near her lovers.

Sasha didn’t flinch, her smile only growing as she leaned back, casual. ’’Just sharing some hot chocolate,’’ she said smoothly, her eyes flicked to him with a spark. ’’Care to join us?’’

The blonde nodded, the suspicion not leaving her face as the air in the lounge changed as the four began chatting, the firelight casting flickering shadows across their faces. Alice leaned forward, elbows on the table, telling the group how Drakenwood is changing up classes when they return.

Nivara, lounging with a tankard of ale, chimed in with dry quips, her red eyes glinting with mischief. Sasha, ever composed, nodded along, her lips curved in that infuriatingly sexy smile. Raegar tried to focus, nodding at the right moments, but his mind was elsewhere, specifically, on the pressure of the older woman’s hand beneath the table.

Her fingers brushed against his thigh, tracing slow, teasing circles. Each touch sent a jolt through him, his pulse quickening as he fought to keep his expression neutral as shocks washed across his body. Sasha’s movements were discreet, hidden under the table, but the effect was something else.

His skin burned under her touch, and his thoughts scattered like leaves in a storm. Raegar gripped his mug of hot chocolate, the warmth doing little to ground him. ’Focus, damn it,’ he thought, but her fingers slid higher, and his breath hitched.

’’Rae, you’re awfully quiet,’’ Nivara said, her smirk widening as she tilted her head. ’’Something on your mind?’’

He cleared his throat and gave them a charming smile. ’’Just enjoying my time with you girls,’’ he managed, his voice tighter than he’d intended.

Sasha’s hand paused, but her fingers lingered close to his manhood. Alice’s eyes narrowed slightly, her gaze flicking between them, but she pressed on with her tale, oblivious to the undercurrent. The conversation changed, Nivara complaining that she wanted to head south already, and the blonde’s plans to haggle with a merchant for new gear.

Sasha chimed in with a witty remark about the merchant’s shady reputation, her voice smooth as silk, her hand never leaving his thigh. Each word she spoke felt like a private joke, as if she knew exactly how much she was unraveling him. He tried to focus on the blonde’s laughter, on the Dark Elf’s sly grin, but his body betrayed him, heat pooling in his core.

Finally, the chatter wound down, and Alice stretched, yawning. ’’Think I’ll turn in,’’ she said, standing. Nivara followed, tossing a knowing glance at Raegar. ’’Don’t stay up too late, you two,’’ she teased, sauntering out with the blonde.

Sasha lingered, her hand finally retreating as she rose from her chair. She leaned close to Raegar, her breath warm against his ear. ’’Come to my room later tonight,’’ she murmured, her voice low.

Before he could respond, she pressed a folded note into his palm, her fingers brushing his with deliberate slowness. Then, with a final, enigmatic smile, she glided out of the lounge, leaving a faint scent of her perfume. Raegar sat frozen, his heart pounding as he unfolded the note.

In pretty handwriting, it read. ’Third floor, east wing, last door on the right. Don’t keep me waiting.’

’What the fuck did she even write this?’ he wondered, clearly confused.

Following that, he yawned and decided to wake up before going to meet the older woman to see what she wanted. While walking around the Sunfire Mansion, Arthur’s voice sounded in his mind. ’Do you trust her? My lord,’’ the Blue Knight asked.

’No, it’s clear she doesn’t want to hurt me,’ Raegar replied. ’I think it’s loneliness and catching the eye of me, it’s clear the woman is interested, plus the others won’t be bothered thanks to them accepting a harem.’

’Ten is the number the ladies choose,’ the knight reminded him.

Raegar waved it away, not bothered. ’I’ll go to fourteen and start learning how to use Time Aether, there should be a spell that will allow me to spend time with all women in one night.’

’What about dates?’

’There’s eight days a week, I can take two women a day which means it will take me a week to get through them,’ he revealed his thinking to the Blue Knight.

’What about that blonde and the tiger woman?’ Shadow suddenly asked. ’The ladies told me you’re interested in those?’

’I am, but I haven’t seen them in a while,’ he said. ’Maybe I can spend some time with the two when we get back to Drakenwood.’

Raegar shook his head and waved away the question. ’’It doesn’t matter anyway, I’ll spend time with all my women like I have been doing.’

The two Fusion Knights fell silent as he began heading toward Sasha’s room sometime later, and when getting close, he bumped into a grinning Alice. The blonde was hiding in the shadows, waiting for him to wander past. Without waiting, the young woman grabbed his collar and pinned him up against the wall.

’’What are you doing here, lover?’’ she asked with a knowing expression.

He sighed and was honest as he showed her the note. ’’Going to see Sasha.’’

Her green eyes narrowed even more as she replied. ’’Are you just planning to sleep with her and throw her away?’’

Just then, Raegar sensed several figures lingering in the darkness, causing him to pull the blonde into his arms, covering himself with a cloak of Aether. Moments later, a group of figures dressed in black hid around the hallway, outside Sasha’s door, waiting for someone, waiting for him.

’’Who is Sasha, Alice?’’ he whispered.

’’Just a random noblewoman,’’ she answered, looking horrified.

Raegar leaned in and continued in a stern voice. ’’This is the second attempt on my life, and the only reason your family will be spared is because I’m falling in love with you.’’

That’s when he activated Fusion Overdrive to boost his fighting prowess, causing his power to skyrocket as he summoned Arthur and Shadow, ordering. ’’Attack the assassins, I’ll go for the leader.’’

Seconds after speaking, Raegar exploded down the hallways, catching the enemies off guard as he carved through one’s neck just as the knight slammed into the shocked figures and was cut down. He summoned Fusion Soldiers that swarmed out as he shouted. ’’Lock down the Sunfire Manor! Make sure no one escapes!’’

Following that, chaos erupted across the building. Nivara appeared, carrying a dead woman whom she dumped at his feet. ’’This curr tried to attack me, but she was an amateur and couldn’t keep up,’’ she said with a bright smile.

Raegar chuckled and noticed the assassin leader trying to flee, causing them to rush after the man. When getting close, the Dark Elf threw three blades that sliced through the air and hit the enemy’s legs, bringing him crashing down with a thud, making the couple laugh as the young woman turned to him.

’’Go deal with Sasha,’’ Nivara said. ’’I’ll mop up the remaining assassins; it will be easy to find them.’’

Afterward, he turned to the shocked Alice, who was staring at the dead bodies being picked up by the Fusion Soldiers, and took her somewhere she didn’t know. He smiled at her reaction to hide the shock he was feeling deep inside as he thought. ’I didn’t expect Sasha to be this sneaky. It explains why she came on so heavy.’

Raegar smiled but hugged the blonde. ’’Let’s go talk to your aunt, there must be a reason behind it,’’ he whispered.

Alice nodded, and the couple stepped into the room only to see a pacing Sasha who paled when seeing him. Before anyone could talk, the older woman launched her attack. Fire Aether welled up in her palms until she was hit by a Dark Blast, sending the older woman crashing into the wall.

Just then, a red blur appeared above the silver-haired woman, holding a sword at her throat as a warning echoed out. ’’How dare you try to attack our lover!’’ Selene’s enraged voice echoed through the room

He noticed the other women arriving in the room as Dominique appeared alongside Zahara, Alice, and Drusilla. Everyone looked angry, but Sasha glanced up at him, face full of rage as she sneered. ’’My stupid bitch of a niece had to stop you in the corridor or you would’ve been dead already.’’
