After Giving Birth, All My Beast Ex-Husbands Suddenly Want Me Back-Chapter 136: Do you remember me?
That figure... why did it look so much like Princess Nina?
Silinx couldn’t help but follow.
When he got closer, he finally saw Nina’s face clearly.
His pupils trembled slightly as he carefully examined her features and caught a faint trace of the scent she had left behind.
Although the female before him was breathtakingly beautiful, her facial features were unmistakably those of Princess Nina—the same Princess Nina, only now without the dark blotches that had once marred her face.
Even her scent felt vaguely familiar. If he remembered correctly, this was indeed the fragrance Princess Nina carried.
So this female was very likely the transformed Princess Nina.
Silinx had exceptionally sharp observation and tracking abilities. He never relied solely on a person’s overall appearance; he memorized specific details—the shape of their features, subtle characteristics of their body, even their scent. For anyone who had left a strong impression on him, disguising themselves was almost impossible.
That was why he had recognized the now-beautiful Nina so quickly.
Still, confusion filled him.
Why was Princess Nina here? Hadn’t she been exiled to Sin City?
Should he return and report this to the City Lord? After all, the City Lord had been planning to find Princess Nina and formally cancel their engagement.
And what about the young lord? Should he be informed as well?
But the young lord already had a female he liked now. Perhaps it would be better if they didn’t meet...
Silinx had learned that there was a tribe nearby. Could Princess Nina be living there?
And the beautiful but slightly dark-skinned female the young lord had mentioned—could she also be living in this tribe?
If so... might the two of them know each other?
The thought made Silinx feel awkward.
They had originally promised to help Princess Nina capture the young lord. Instead, they had come here to help the young lord find the female he liked—and now they had coincidentally encountered Princess Nina herself.
For all he knew, the two females might even know each other.
Thinking back to his earlier confident promises, Silinx suddenly felt terribly apologetic toward Nina. He almost didn’t dare to step out and face her.
Mino’s heavily biased descriptions of Nina had completely misled him.
When Mino described Nina’s "dark spots," he had meant that her skin was only slightly darkened. But Silinx and the others had interpreted it very differently. Because of that misunderstanding, Silinx had never connected the female Mino described with the pale, delicate Princess Nina—either her former self or the one standing before him now.
After a moment of thought, Silinx decided Nina probably wouldn’t leave anytime soon. He turned to look for Ming instead.
It didn’t take him long to find him.
"City Lord," Silinx reported, "I just saw Princess Nina nearby."
"Princess Nina? Are you certain?"
Ming looked genuinely surprised. He hadn’t expected to encounter her here.
"She looks different now," Silinx said. "I’m not completely certain... but I’d say there’s an eighty percent chance it’s her."
Ming nodded. He trusted Silinx’s abilities. If Silinx believed it was her, then it likely was.
"City Lord, should we go find Princess Nina first, or continue searching for the female the young lord mentioned?" Silinx asked.
Ming frowned thoughtfully.
Should he go see her now and end the engagement?
But he hadn’t brought many valuables with him. He wasn’t sure if he had enough to offer as compensation.
Thinking about Mino’s condition after being punished earlier, Ming sighed softly.
Forget it. We should settle the matter with Princess Nina first. If the compensation isn’t enough, we can make it up to her later.
Otherwise that stubborn brat would probably start causing trouble again.
"We’ll go find Princess Nina first," Ming decided. "The other female can wait a little while."
Breaking the engagement wouldn’t take long. It would also prevent Mino from losing credibility in front of the female he liked.
"Yes, City Lord."
Silinx then led Ming toward Nina.
At that moment, Nina was playing in the forest with the cubs.
Following the path from earlier, Silinx guided Ming until they found her. They remained hidden for the moment instead of stepping out immediately.
When Ming saw Nina, his eyes filled with admiration.
He scanned the area but didn’t see any other females nearby.
"Where is Princess Nina?" he asked.
"City Lord... the only female there is Princess Nina," Silinx replied.
"You’re saying she’s Princess Nina?" Ming was stunned. "But wasn’t it said that she was very ugly?"
"She used to have dark blotches on her face," Silinx explained. "They made her look somewhat unattractive. It seems those marks have disappeared now."
Even he hadn’t expected Nina to be this beautiful once the blemishes were gone.
Ming sighed inwardly.
What a pity.
Who would have thought Princess Nina was actually this stunning? Yet that foolish brat insisted on breaking the engagement. It seemed the two of them simply had no fate together.
But Ming knew Mino well. Once he made up his mind, he never changed it. Even if he saw Nina as she was now, his feelings probably wouldn’t shift.
After a moment’s thought, Ming decided to step forward and meet her.
He and Silinx emerged from the trees.
Immediately, Lex and the others noticed them and moved to block their path.
"Who are you?" Lex demanded.
For Nina’s safety—and that of the cubs—they wouldn’t allow strangers to approach her so easily.
"We’re here to see..." Ming paused briefly before continuing, "the female you’re protecting. Please inform her for us."
Considering Nina’s current situation, he chose not to reveal her identity right away.
Seeing that Ming carried himself with upright dignity and didn’t look like a malicious beastman, Lex flew off to inform Nina.
"Lady Nina," he said when he reached her, "two males over there wish to see you. Should I let them come over?"
Nina looked puzzled, but she decided to meet them first.
"Let them come."
Lex returned and allowed Ming and Silinx to approach.
When Nina saw Silinx, she was surprised.
Wasn’t this male the representative from Spirit-Cat City?
Why was he here looking for her?
Had he recognized her?
Ming gave Silinx a subtle glance.
Silinx understood immediately and stepped forward.
"Do you remember me?" he asked Nina.
Judging from her expression, however, he suspected she probably did.
From his tone, Nina could tell that Silinx had recognized her. She hadn’t expected that after meeting her only once—especially now that her appearance had changed so drastically—he would still be able to identify her.
Still, she wasn’t overly surprised. After all, only the dark blotches had disappeared; her facial features were the same as before.
"Yes, I remember you," Nina said calmly. "Did you come to see me for something?"
Silinx said nothing further. Instead, he stepped back respectfully and moved behind Ming.
Ming then stepped forward. "It’s actually me who wishes to speak with you."
From Silinx’s deferential attitude—and from the faint resemblance between Ming and Mino—Nina had already guessed Ming’s identity.
"Could we speak somewhere private?" Ming asked.
"Of course," Nina replied.
Nina and Ming walked a short distance away to talk in private, while Odian and the others stood guard nearby.
At that same moment, Mino had also arrived in the area. As he searched, he happened to notice Silinx standing guard on the other side.
Silinx saw him too.
Why is the young lord here as well?
He hurried over.
"Young Lord, what are you doing here?" Silinx asked.
Mino frowned slightly. "I was about to ask you the same thing. Weren’t you searching in the other direction?"
His handsome face darkened with suspicion. For a moment he wondered whether Silinx had been slacking off deliberately—otherwise, with his tracking skills, how could he have wandered this far off course?
Silinx’s eyes flickered with hesitation, unsure whether he should tell the truth.
Mino followed the direction Silinx had come from and soon spotted Ming.
But from his position, Nina happened to be hidden from view.
"Why is my father here too?" Mino demanded. "What are you doing here?"
Silinx hesitated briefly before deciding to tell the truth.
"While I was searching for the female you mentioned, I discovered Princess Nina," he explained. "So I brought the City Lord here. He should be talking with her right now... probably to break off the engagement."
"Really?" Mino’s eyes lit up with excitement. "Father is canceling the engagement?"
If his father truly ended the engagement, then Nina wouldn’t despise him anymore, would she? Maybe he would finally have the right to pursue her properly.
"Yes... most likely," Silinx said.
"I see," Mino replied quickly. "I’ll go take a look."
If that Princess Nina refused to end the engagement, he would make sure she did.
Silinx sighed quietly but did not try to stop him.
