After work, start to speedrun the other world-Chapter 544 - 215: The Date Who Didn’t Want to Be Disturbed
Bruil Street.
Letixia’s emerald eyes reflected the image of her lover before her; she walked backward with elegant yet playful steps. Holding one hand with Ahtal, she seemed ready to dance on the street.
"Next year, we might even bring a child to stroll down the street with us," she said.
"The child wouldn’t have grown that much by then," Xi Mu replied with a grin, looking at the girl who was walking backward holding his hand. She lacked the decorum and majesty of her usual princess demeanor, instead appearing very casual and relaxed.
Which was only to be expected.
The matter at hand wasn’t about serious discussions, but a genuine date; thus, Letixia naturally showed her affectionate side to her lover.
"Then I’ll have to hold the baby with one arm," Letixia said with a slight lift of her hand, before slowing her pace, gracefully turning around to join Ahtal’s side. "Does this not resemble a normal family outing?"
What she yearned for was not a life of luxury but a simple life, like that of ordinary people. However, she was well aware that living an ordinary life was exceedingly difficult.
And so, she cherished everything she had in the present.
To say she had no ambition, or that she was too easily satisfied might be valid criticisms, but at that moment, she indeed felt this way and wanted to live with this man forever.
"At least consider the matter of children after you’ve mastered your powers," Xi Mu shook his head, suggesting in a teasing manner, "Or do you plan to fight with a big belly?"
Letixia tried to picture the future that Ahtal described and found the image to be too... subtle. She had been informed by Ahtal of a potential fate where she’d be targeted by the Alchemical Witch who would then conduct research on the Sword of Light through her, granting her the potential to gain power. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
But the price was that each usage of the Sword of Light was akin to burning her own life.
Of course, that was but a possibility in her fate, something that wouldn’t occur with Ahtal’s intervention.
Still, if Ahtal did nothing, then in order to overcome Ragnarok, some would turn their sights to the Sword of Light, and through her, indirectly study its power to find a means to surpass Ragnarok.
What Ahtal was doing at the moment was simply following along the potential trajectory of a fate that might be born... No, more accurately, it was the gravitational pull of Ragnarok’s fate.
As it stood, Ahtal’s will was basically equivalent to the fate of Ragnarok.
"If you dislike trouble, I could grant you my favor directly," Xi Mu said with a smile, but Letixia shook her head at his words. If she accepted the favor of the King of Ash, it would surely lead to Ahtal’s exposure.
At present, Ahtal himself did not wish for his existence to be exposed. If not for her connection to the Sword of Light, it would have been impossible to perceive Ahtal’s presence.
And naturally, there’d be no dates like this one.
"I’ll grow along the gravitational pull of Ragnarok’s fate," Letixia declared, then her gaze shifted to a jewelry store in the distance.
She pulled Ahtal along, wanting to take a look, but abruptly stopped. Her emerald eyes caught the reflection of Yasiraqi exiting the jewelry store.
Xi Mu followed her gaze, and there he saw Yasiraqi wearing a bright red, long gown, exuding her usual stern and confident demeanor. Behind her, several maids carried a multitude of bags, bearing the appearance of a large shopping spree.
This was Yasiraqi’s habit: acquiring everything of interest in an unfamiliar city without considering the cost.
"Shall we go and say hello?" Xi Mu inquired, only to see Letixia decisively pull his hand and leave, hiding in an alley nearby.
They wove through the crowd, soon disappearing from view.
Xi Mu looked at the girl pulling him along, her hair like golden sand trembling with each step, her anxious demeanor resembling someone whose secret affair had been discovered.
"Yasiraqi can’t see me."
"But she can see me," Letixia explained, and immediately pulled Ahtal into a coffee shop.
Knowing Yasiraqi as she did, Letixia was sure that even if Ahtal did not reveal himself to Yasiraqi, that woman could deduce his existence through her.
Currently, Ahtal did not wish for his identity to be known, and she also did not want the time she had alone with Ahtal to vanish so soon.
Therefore, avoiding her was necessary.

...
Meanwhile,
Just as Yasiraqi left the jewelry shop, she glanced puzzledly at a street corner not far away. She thought she had seen a glimpse of Letixia, even though it was fleeting and could have been a mistake.
But after a brief contemplation, she decisively chose to follow, and even instructed her maids to describe Letixia’s appearance and block her at every street exit.
She pursued in the direction in which she’d seen Letixia go.
"Yasiraqi is coming this way," Xi Mu said, his gaze through the glass window barely making out Yasiraqi’s figure amidst the crowd. "Maybe you should face Yasiraqi; this would be easy for you..."
Letixia shook her head. "It’s difficult."
Xi Mu looked at her, and she lightly placed her hand on her chest, smiling, "Just one look in my eyes, and she would immediately notice a change in my demeanor, just as I understand her well, she understands me equally. We have so much in common."
It was no lie. The reason she and Yasiraqi became close friends was their similar personalities and mutual understanding. A single exchange of looks was all it took to know each other’s thoughts.
