After work, start to speedrun the other world-Chapter 547 - 216: The Demon Who Triumphed Over Ragnarok_2
"Is there even a slight possibility?" Letixia sounded a bit disappointed, but she didn’t dwell on it too much. Although the Alchemical Witch Project was very tempting to her, if it could ensure everyone’s survival without making an enemy of Ahtal, it would have been a perfect plan.
Xi Mu thought for a moment, then comforted her, "This world isn’t short of people who ponder over how to overcome Ragnarok, not just the Alchemical Witch. Many others have their own plans."
He looked in the direction where Delusional Demon had departed.
"That guy, in a sense, is someone who could defeat Ragnarok, albeit his methods are a bit extreme."
Letixia showed a look of surprise, "Does he have the power to threaten you?"
"The Delusional Demon just possesses power that’s nearly omnipotent; he doesn’t have the ability to threaten my power," Xi Mu gently shook his head, "but defeating Ragnarok doesn’t necessarily require the power to beat Ragnarok."
He said it almost jokingly.
"If you kill everyone before Ragnarok descends, then the world burning in Ragnarok is nothing but an empty shell. That, too, can be considered a victory over Ragnarok."
Letixia rolled her eyes lightly, "Who would agree to such a plan?"
"You might be surprised how many would agree," Xi Mu chuckled lightly. He wasn’t joking; that Delusional Demon indeed had, in a way, the power to defeat Ragnarok, and his plan had been accepted by the majority.
According to the DLC’s plot development direction, if the player accepted the Delusional Demon’s plan, they would be on a path to ending the world prematurely.
"Does defeating Ragnarok in such a way really make any sense?" Letixia muttered quietly, but Xi Mu, hearing her, did not retort. Instead, he just took Letixia’s hand and led her back to the Lakefront Mansion.
About Delusional Demon’s plan, even if he really explained it in detail to Letixia, it was unlikely that she would agree.
So there was no need to explain it to Letixia.

The next day.
Afternoon.
Lakefront Mansion.
In the living room.
"Is the Alchemical Witch trustworthy?" Yasiraqi asked with a slightly furrowed brow, questioning Letixia, "She has no obligation to ensure your safety while conducting experiments."
Letixia lifted her hand to gather her hair beside her ear, explaining to Yasiraqi, "Currently, I’m the only one who can use the Sword of Light, so the Alchemical Witch won’t conduct experiments on me that go too far."
"And she wouldn’t provoke Ahtal, right?" Yasiraqi looked around the living room, then slightly concealed her lower face with a folding fan, abruptly changing the subject:
"I didn’t expect you to find such a suitable place to live. Do you have friends in Lionheart Castle?"
In a major city like Lionheart Castle, especially in a central location like this, owning an apartment is clearly not something ordinary people can achieve.
Not to mention there are more than just Letixia living in the room; even the Goddess of Plague and Pestilence Witch reside in this mansion.
The situation is obviously abnormal.
"It’s because of the Sword of Light," Letixia explained seriously, "I can convey Ahtal’s will through the Sword of Light, as if he is right beside me."
"Conveying Ahtal’s will through the Sword of Light?" Yasiraqi showed a look of surprise, resting her gaze on the Sword of Light next to the couch.
She knew the Sword of Light contained Ahtal’s power, so communicating with Ahtal through the Sword of Light was possible. This could explain Letixia’s behavior and strange condition the day before.
But it didn’t explain why the Goddess of Plague was here.
"The will conveyed by Ahtal led me here," Letixia explained softly, "He wants the Goddess of Plague to change the fate of death."
Yasiraqi let out a light sigh, then her face brightened with a radiant smile, "That’s really enviable; there are some things I’d like to discuss with Ahtal."
"Sooner or later you’ll be able to feel Ahtal’s will too," Letixia said with one arm crossed, turning her head slightly away,
"But that will take some time."
"Since you say so," Yasiraqi smiled subtly, her eyes falling on Letixia’s side, then calmly withdrew her gaze.
"By the way, I’ve brought Jed to Sky City. If you have time, you could go to Sky City and see Jed."
Letixia showed a curious expression, "Does Jed still retain his memories?"
In this world, apart from a few beings who could retain their future memories due to their own formidable strength, only those deemed by the Time Witch to have a close relationship with Ahtal were allowed to retain memories of the future.
And Jed, in some sense, was very close to Ahtal.
Since Yasiraqi could retain her memories, then Jed should have also retained memories of the future.
"Of course I remember," Yasiraqi nodded with a smile on her lips, "When I found Jed, she was still fighting giants with the mercenary group."
She laughed softly.
"I gave those mercenaries a sum of money, and they were so scared they thought I was interested in Jed, and wouldn’t accept my money no matter what."
Letixia asked, "Then how did you take Jed away?"
"More money," Yasiraqi said with a pursed smile, "I offered them so much they simply couldn’t refuse, and in the end, they even wanted to become my subordinates."
"That really is your style," Letixia said with a wry smile, and then changed the topic to other matters, deliberately avoiding any mention of Ahtal, until the sky grew dark.
Yasiraqi chose to leave the lakefront mansion, walking alone on the night roads as the evening breeze played with her red hair.
She felt someone standing by her side, accompanying her all the way, until a carriage coming to pick her up appeared in the distance.
The feeling of someone accompanying her vanished.
...
...
Three days had passed.
Iris Flower Kingdom.
"My daughter, you seem much happier," the King with white hair said with a kindly smile, looking at Letixia across the table:
"Did something to your liking happen?"
"Yes," Letixia nodded gently, and quickly changed the subject before her father could ask further, "Father, has a witch been looking for me?"
The Iris Flower King was startled, but then replied, "Near the volcano, a witch has built an Alchemy Workshop, and she has been waiting for you to go there."
"She is the Alchemical Witch who wants to use me to research the power of the Sword of Light," Letixia explained the reason, and selectively relayed the events that transpired at Lionheart Castle.
The Iris Flower King did not probe further, realizing that his daughter retained memories of the future, he knew that she had entered a world not easily accessible to ordinary people, and there was no benefit in asking too many questions.
So all he had to do was listen.
...
...
After some time.
Volcano Workshop.
An edifice that seemed to rise from the ground like a miracle, shaped like an upside-down pyramid embedded within the volcano, completely sealing the crater. Blue lines crisscrossing its surface indicated the flowing energy of the Alchemy Workshop.
And now, inside the Alchemy Workshop.
"If you don’t come," the Alchemical Witch turned around, her white hair gently swaying. She placed her hands on her hips and showed a lively smile to Letixia:
"Then I might have to come and beg you."
Letixia showed a surprised expression, not expecting the legendary Alchemical Witch to be so lively, no... perhaps the expressionless girl next to her was the real Alchemical Witch.
There stood before her two girls with identical looks but completely different auras; the white-haired girl who greeted her first had an extremely lively smile, while the other one was expressionless, appearing very cold.
No matter how one looked at it, it seemed the expressionless white-haired girl fit the common perception of an Alchemical Witch more closely.
"She is my daughter," the Alchemical Witch, apparently noticing Letixia’s thoughts, pulled the white-haired girl to her side and affectionately stroked her cheek, proudly explaining, "She has inherited all my memories and powers of the past."
"Is that so," Letixia said with a polite smile, unable to discern which of the two white-haired girls was stronger, so there was no need to voice an opinion for the time being.
However, Xi Mu standing nearby knew the truth: he fixed his gaze on the colder white-haired girl.
This colder-looking girl was a clone of the Alchemical Witch, inheriting all the witch’s memories but lacking a soul, a testament to the Alchemical Witch’s continuity of life.
Yet, her personality differed from the original Alchemical Witch.
