Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 208-Exposed His Lies
Iris:
"Excuse me," James said as he immediately stood up and walked away, probably feeling like staying there would mean invading our privacy.
"I’m not fighting over last night. It does not affect me at all. I do not care how much you can tolerate," As soon as I said that, Kash slammed his hand on the table.
"And no, I won’t feel bad about staying here," my father spoke up.
When my father said that, my mouth fell open. I had not expected him to take Kash’s side.
"But Papa, we can stay somewhere else," I tried to say, but my father silenced me with a hand gesture.
"Your children are happy here with their father. Try to sort out your differences," he told me.
"I’ll leave you two to sort things out together," my father added as he stood up and left, and I remained seated where I was.
There was a sly smirk on Kash’s face, one that I was determined to wipe away.
"It looks like your plan didn’t work," Kash blurted out before I could say anything.
I looked at him and slowly shook my head, almost as if warning him not to test my patience.
"So taking freedom is a plan?" I asked him in response.
Kash gave his head a small jerk and then shrugged his shoulders in an overly dramatic way.
"You just want to take your anger out on me because I spent the night in Lara’s room. And because I took her out for breakfast in the morning, and when I came back, instead of talking to you, I grabbed my things and left," Kash went on, speaking in a way that made it feel like he was just rambling. "You’re just taking revenge for everything."
"Don’t make me angrier, Kash, or I’ll tell you exactly what I’m taking revenge for, and I’ll say it in front of everyone," I warned him.
As soon as I said that, the playful smirk vanished from Kash’s face.
"How long will you keep hating me?" he asked. "I’ve already told you why I married her."
Finally, Kash started giving the same explanation again. He leaned forward slightly over the table so he could whisper the rest of his words to me.
"This marriage with Lara is only for one purpose. When that purpose is fulfilled, I’ll tell you," he finished.
"So then why do you give me these excuses? And what kind of excuses are you even giving her?" I questioned him.
As soon as I asked that, I saw him narrow his eyes slightly and draw his brows together, almost giving me a confused look.
"I don’t care if you go out to dinner with her, go to lunch with her, or go on a date with her. And I don’t care how you stand outside her door, begging her to open it," I continued.
Once I started saying all this, the color drained from his face. He understood then that he could not lie anymore, that I had heard everything the night before.
"And I do not care about how you tried to convince her either, while I was standing right there crying. But anyway, everyone has their own priorities. You have yours, and I have mine."
I spoke to him very harshly and then stood up, slamming the napkin onto the table.
"I’m done. What happened last night is over for me," I stated.
Kash tried to explain, but I stopped him with a hand gesture.
"Go and convince her, because I’m not foolish enough to fall for your words," I told him, and then I turned to leave.
That was when my eyes fell on Luca. He was standing outside with his father, and it looked like the two of them were arguing about something.
My interest grew. I wanted to know what was going on between Luca and his father. Was Luca the one his father had been telling to tell me the truth?
"And now you’re thinking of going to Luca?" Kash called out from behind me.
I turned around to look at him. He had already stood up from his seat. There was a threatening look on his face.
"Yes, because I already said that everyone has their own priorities," I replied, and with that, I walked away toward Luca.
As soon as I stepped outside, the argument between James and Luca had already ended. James turned to go back inside but stopped the moment he saw me.
"Iris, what are you doing out here?" he asked in a voice that sounded overly sweet. Maybe he was scared again, wondering what I might have overheard.
"Oh, I just came out to get some fresh air," I lied.
He nodded his head and went back inside, while I stepped closer to Luca.
"Luca, when are you going to quit smoking?" As soon as I said that, Luca showed me the cigarette and dropped it on the ground.
"Just now," he replied in a very flirty way.
I wanted to tell him not to flirt, but then my eyes landed on Kash. He was standing inside the house, staring at us, pretending to listen to my father and James while standing with them.
"You’re very naughty," I replied to Luca in a playful tone, gently punching his shoulder.
When I did that, his body turned slightly, and he noticed Kash too.
"So, you’re trying to make your husband jealous," he remarked.
His words hit me harder than I expected. I knew he had told me many times that he had feelings for me, so maybe I should not have done that.
"I’m sorry. I wasn’t trying to make him jealous. I’m just very angry at him," I said quickly, changing my tone and speaking to Luca normally again.
"It’s okay, I don’t mind. You can use me for anything," Luca replied playfully. "At least you’ll use me, right?"
Once again, Luca answered in a playful way, and I rolled my eyes at him just as playfully.
