Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 213-Please Baby, One Last Betrayal?
Kash:
That night was nothing less than a disaster for me. Seeing Iris pass out like that again made my breathing almost stop.
I tried very hard to wake her, but for fifteen minutes she lay completely still, but her eyelids moved as if she was in pain but couldn’t move. When she finally began to wake up, my heart felt some relief.
I knew what was happening to her. She was going through the same thing my son had gone through. My son used to have seizures, and she completely lost consciousness.
The pain was the same. Now I knew how I had to find a cure for Iris. I was scared for her. Her condition was getting worse, and if I did not do something now, it would be too late.
That was why I decided I needed one more pearl. Sadly, at one time, that monster could create only one pearl. That was why we had received only one pearl last time. I quickly called my father-in-law.
That same night, when Iris finally woke up, she went to the washroom to splash water on her face. I knew that when she came out, she would have many questions for me.
She would ask me what had happened to her and why it had happened. I spoke to Lara’s father about everything in a way that made him feel his daughter had won.
Then he himself reminded me that I could not take his daughter anywhere for a honeymoon before the crowning.
That was the plan. I wanted to become the crowned Alpha as soon as possible.
As soon as the call ended, Iris came out of the room and sat on the bed.
"What happened to me?" she asked, just as I had expected, in her soft, gentle voice.
"Nothing," I replied, touching her cheek. "You fainted because of stress."
The way she turned her eyes away from me told me that she knew what had happened to her. But she did not know that I knew, and that was a good thing.
If she did not know that I was aware, then whenever I cured her, she would not realize she was being cured. That meant the cure would work on her illness.
"I will sleep now peacefully. You should sleep too," she told me in very soft words.
I wanted to take great care of her, but I could not say much. If I had said anything, everything would have been ruined.
"Iris, do not worry. Everything will be fine," I reassured her. "I mean, I will check Luca’s phone data and everything. Do not stress."
I managed the situation quickly. She gave me a very tired nod and lay down. I could not sleep. I stayed sitting beside her to make sure nothing happened to her again.
She also knew I was worried about her, and seeing me awake allowed her to sleep peacefully, because she knew someone was taking care of her that night. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
As soon as morning came, I got to work. I started pulling every kind of string. I could not wait anymore. Too much time had already been wasted.
The more Iris remained distant and sad with me, the more my heart ached. Now the time had come to heal Iris and tell her the whole truth. I could not tolerate any more delay.
Of course, my sister did not like this at all when she heard me say that I might need to meet the children again. She immediately started arguing. I signaled her with my hand and walked away.
When we sat at the breakfast table, my eyes were fixed only on Iris. I tried very hard to look around so that Lara would not suspect anything, but what could I do? Seeing Iris so upset made my heart ache.
Iris was pretending as if she remembered nothing from the night, or maybe it was so normal for her that she had genuinely forgotten it. But that moment was stuck in my mind. I could not forget it. Seeing her in that kind of pain felt unbearable to me.
She was busy with the children, feeding them and talking to them. My eyes stayed fixed on her, and just then I thought that at least she seemed happy now.
Lara announced that she would ruin my Iris’s peace.
"So we were thinking that Kash’s crowning should happen soon." As soon as Lara said this, I saw Iris slightly lift her head and then lower it again, returning to the children.
"Oh, that is very good news. I thought it would take time," my mother remarked to Lara.
"Yes, it was supposed to take time, but my father told me something," Lara replied as she placed her hand on mine.
I knew this was a big thing for Lara, and she wanted to take it as a big surprise. But the bitterness inside her had grown so much that instead of enjoying it, she decided to ruin her own surprise just to put Iris down.
"Actually, Kash has planned a honeymoon for us," Lara revealed.
Her words caught Iris’s attention. Iris lifted her head and looked at me. That eye contact struck deep inside me. There was a heavy sadness in her eyes.
She kept looking at me, almost as if she was silently asking how I could say it was all just drama. Then she suddenly looked down, trying to hide her tears.
At that moment, I felt angry at Lara, but sooner or later, Iris was bound to find out anyway. This was the last bitter truth. After this, everything was supposed to be fine.
"We will go too," my innocent children said at once.
Moments like this were very difficult for me. But what could I do? This was the only way now to end everything and set things right.
"No, I will plan a trip with all of you as well, but for now, I will go with Lara," I replied. I had said this only to make Lara happy when Iris’s jaw clenched.
"It is okay, kids. I am here with you," Iris said as she gently patted their backs. "Come on, let’s go. You have eaten, right?" Saying this, she stood up from the dining table.
Lara kept watching Iris with a smirk, as if she were putting her down. I could not wait for the day when Iris would finally lift her head and remind Lara of her place.
