Angle's Arrogance? My Pact with the Succubus Queen!-Chapter 265: Can’t Beat It, Then Send It Away!
Logan stood still, watching the golden light in his hand slowly fade away.
Each flicker meant another fallen soldier was completely erased from existence.
"Eighty thousand soul fragments... was it worth it for this victory?" Logan said quietly, as if asking himself, or the battlefield.
No one answered. Only the sunset painted the clouds red, like blood.
Above Saint Heart City.
The atmosphere, which had just relaxed a little after the victory, suddenly turned heavy again.
As soon as Logan’s feet touched the ground, he hadn’t even had a chance to check on the generals, a terrifying pressure far beyond the peak of 35-star Legend level crashed down from the sky above.
Logan knew clearly — this power was nothing like the previous fake projections. This time, it was the real Shadow Body.
She had broken through countless seals and dimensional walls, and had finally sent a real body projection into this world.
"Logan!" Shadow’s voice echoed, cold to the bone, filled with deadly hatred.
At this moment, her projection was at least ten times more solid than before. She had grown to nearly a hundred meters tall.
Her black battle armor was covered in dark red lines. Her six shadow wings stretched wide, each edge tearing open the space, revealing the chaotic void behind.
The scariest part was the 36 dark stars floating above her head.
Even as a projection, she couldn’t show all the power of the Saint Stage II, 4-star level. But the energy waves from those 36 dark stars were already making the Blood Cultivation Realm of Saint Heart City tremble, cracking and breaking.
"36-star!" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Logan’s face turned pale. His whole body tensed up instantly.
He could feel that this projection could only stay in this world for a short time — no more than ten minutes.
But ten minutes was enough for a 36-star Shadow Body to completely erase Saint Heart City from the map — after a brutal battle, with the defense lines almost destroyed.
"You sealed away a part of my mind, and I lost Duerer, an important piece." Shadow’s projection looked down at Logan, her dark-gold eyes burning with real anger. "Do you think that’s a win?"
She raised her hand and clenched it tightly.
Logan’s surrounding space twisted and collapsed. Countless shadowy tentacles sprouted from the air, wildly wrapping around his limbs and body.
This was pure use of the Shadow Law — far stronger than any move from the Five Shadow Generals before.
"Sky of Stars·Heroes’ Battle Formation!"
Logan shouted, and a shadow of the Spirit Palace appeared behind him. Eighty thousand heroes’ wills overlapped, creating a resonance. Light chains shot out from all sides of the palace, colliding directly with the shadowy tentacles.
Boom!
The explosion of energy crushed all buildings and ruins within a kilometer into dust.
Logan groaned and took three steps back, blood trickling from his mouth.
But Shadow’s true body projection didn’t even seem hurt.
"The gap is too big!" Logan’s mind screamed.
A 35-star Legend level and a 36-star Saint stage, second rank — it looked like just one star difference, but in reality, it was a huge gap.
It was a fundamental jump in life level, a complete difference in energy quality.
And Shadow was among the top in the Saint stage. Even as a projection, her understanding and use of the laws completely crushed Logan, who had just broken through the 35-star level.
"Run!" Logan didn’t hesitate. His body vanished in an instant.
"Slime Battle Style·100x Space Jump!" This was a survival move Logan developed after breaking through the 35-star level. It combined the space characteristics of the Slime Battle Style with his own Space Ability.
It wasn’t just a simple space jump. It was hundreds of jumps in a fraction of a second, with a completely random path — even Logan couldn’t predict where he’d appear next.
Sure enough, the Shadow projection frowned slightly.
Her sensing lost track of Logan the moment he disappeared. In his place, hundreds of space distortions appeared in the sky above Saint Heart City.
Each one could be Logan’s real body — and each one could be a trick.
"Trickery." Shadow’s projection sneered, and her six shadow wings flapped at the same time.
Countless dark arrows shot out like a storm, hitting all the space ripples. Each arrow had tracking and space-blocking powers. Once it hit a target, it could stop the Space Jump.
But Logan was faster. He jumped again just before the arrows hit, appearing thousands of meters away on the city wall. He didn’t stop — he vanished again.
Zing! Zing! Zing!
Shadow’s projection chased again. Dark arrows, shadow tentacles, and space restrictions all came at once, but each time, Logan barely avoided them.
Above Saint Heart City, the scene looked strange and ridiculous.
A giant black figure, over a hundred meters tall, was chasing like crazy. A golden flash of light — Logan — kept appearing and disappearing in a blur.
Their speed was so fast that even a normal Legend-level warrior couldn’t see their shadows.
"How is this possible?" Shadow’s projection grew more and more shocked as she chased.
Her skill with the laws, her energy level, and her battle experience were all better than Logan’s.
Logan should be an easy target — a simple hunt.
But Logan’s understanding of space was much deeper than she expected.
He wasn’t just running. He was using the city’s complex terrain, the leftover energy from the Blood Cultivation Realm, and the energy flows from the big battle as cover.
Every time he teleported, he appeared in the most unexpected place.
Even more shocking, he was setting up tiny space traps during his escape — not to attack, but to confuse Shadow’s senses and tracking.
"Is he really just a 35-star?" Shadow thought, almost in disbelief.
Three minutes had passed in the ten-minute countdown.
Shadow’s true body was fighting the seal — the longer she stayed, the more power she lost.
"Can’t keep this up." Shadow stopped chasing and turned toward the center of Saint Heart City.
There, millions of survivors were running away. Medics were working fast to save the wounded generals. The city was just starting to rebuild.
"You like to run so much!" Shadow’s voice was cold as ice. "Then I’ll kill everyone in this city. How long can you hide?"
She raised her hand, and a ball of dark energy formed in her palm — a hundred meters wide. Inside, countless twisted faces screamed and struggled. They were souls turned into shadows, being pulled out and used as fuel.
One hit would destroy a quarter of Saint Heart City — and millions would die.
"Stop!" Logan appeared five hundred meters away, his face dark and angry.
He could keep running. He might even last the remaining seven minutes — and wait for Shadow to fade away on her own.
But he couldn’t watch millions die because of him.
"Finally showing up." Shadow laughed coldly. "Then just die. I might let the city’s rats live."
Logan took a deep breath. Fighting directly would be impossible. Running would only kill more people.
There was only one way left.
"Want to kill me?" Logan suddenly smiled, a little crazy. "I’ll give you the chance."
He quickly made hand signs in front of him, and all his 35-star energy poured out. The twelve runes of the Spirit Palace lit up, and eight hundred heroes’ wills were poured into the space law.
"Maximum Range·Space Jump!"
This wasn’t an attack or a defense. It was the widest range of forced teleportation Logan could do right now.
His target wasn’t Shadow’s projection itself. With his current strength, he couldn’t even find her exact location.
But he had a big teleport area.
So...
Logan’s real goal was the space around Shadow’s projection.
He planned to "cut" her and the space she was in, and send it somewhere else.
"What are you doing?!" Shadow’s projection sensed the space was wrong. Her face changed slightly.
But it was too late.
Logan burned most of his familiar energy. He used the Spirit Palace as a space anchor and forced through the biggest space move in history.
Buzz!
The sky over the north of Saint Heart City suddenly tore open, revealing a giant space whirlpool, a kilometer wide.
In the center, Shadow’s projection was caught in space turbulence. Even her dark energy ball in her hand was pulled into the whirlpool.
"Logan! You dare to teleport me?!" Shadow’s scream echoed through the twisted space, but it was broken and hard to hear.
Three seconds later, the whirlpool closed completely.
The sky above Saint Heart City suddenly went quiet. It was like the terrifying chase had never happened.
But Logan knew this wasn’t over.
He forced his almost broken body to stand. He used the Spirit Palace’s space coordinates to check where he sent her.
The destination was a volcano called [Roar of Magma], three hundred miles north of Saint Heart City.
Below the volcano, magma was boiling, and the earth fire was burning hot.
Shadow’s projection fell straight down from the sky and crashed into the center of the magma lake.
Boom!
The volcano exploded. Molten rock shot up hundreds of meters.
Shadow’s projection wasn’t afraid of normal fire, but the earth fire in the magma was a natural enemy of Shadow Energy. Their clash created powerful energy waves that hit her by surprise. She took a big hit.
She crawled out of the magma, but three of her six shadow wings were burned. Her armor was full of burn marks.
The injury wasn’t serious, but this was the first time she had truly been hurt since coming to the real world. And it was done by a 35-star high school student!
"Logan!" Shadow’s projection roared, shaking the sky and earth. The whole volcano area trembled with her anger.
"I will break free early! I will chase you to the ends of the earth! I will pull your soul out and torture it for eternity!"
Her promise turned into a real sound wave, breaking through space walls and exploding in the sky above Saint Heart City.
