Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes-Chapter 134: Old Friends
Chapter 134: Old Friends
When Atlas took the Coat of Arms of the Ducal House out of his inventory, those who saw it could tell he was a true noble.
The fact that no nobleman ever came to such a place made Atlas a little more trustworthy.
Atlas had designed the coat of arms of the Ducal House specially.
When he started closed training, he would stop when bored and design this coat of arms.
It would be fair to say that it took almost three months to design the coat of arms. The coat of arms had to be something that could reflect Atlas’ values in an organised way, and that was the only reason it took so long.
Atlas had thought about it for a long time while he was in closed training. He had thought many times about his feelings in his previous life, about all of his friendships, and even about the young girl his age who had once been the love of his life and was now standing in front of him.
Yet the memories of his current life began to overwhelm him.
He realised that he could not go back to the past, to his previous life, and that there was no need for him to do so. That’s why he had spent so much time designing this coat of arms...this symbol to be hung on the flags that his descendants would use in the future.
To put it bluntly, he wished to take an example from the life of Cassandra, the Ancient Woman he had begun to have feelings for.
He had thought many times about what symbolises life in this world. He kept wondering how he could incorporate Cassandra, who symbolised life, into his own life, and only one answer came to his mind:
The bird represents the south and summer. The bird in the flames. The symbol of life, the flames that symbolise life, is that sublime being that lives in itself, in its soul...In other words, the Vermillion Bird.
The Vermillion Bird embroidered on the coat of arms symbolised the flames of Atlas and the life of Cassandra.
After that, there were exactly 7 shining stars just above this bird. These stars symbolised the remaining 6 Sages, Cordelia, Talon Seymour, Constantine Ascelin, Cain Sterling, Bellatrix Karlene and Juliet Simone, and the brightest star symbolised Atlas’ sister Eva.
Behind them stood a face that was a combination of night and darkness. Atlas embroidered Nyx’s face expressionlessly on the crest, along with his own hands and the mana on his body.
This would be the flag of the Duchy of Shorekeeper.
"Allow me to introduce myself nicely," Atlas said, and then returned the crest to his inventory and introduced himself:
"My name is Atlas Shorekeeper. I am the first Duke of the Fourth Ducal House of the Epsilon Empire. I have come here for the duo behind you, and in doing so, I have begun the process of clearing the lawless territory here."
As Atlas spoke these words, the astonishment on the faces of the eyes staring at him began to increase, and just as Atlas was about to continue explaining himself, Emma suddenly entered the room.
Emma, who entered the room and was covered with blood, fell on one knee in front of Atlas and then said, "My lord, the entire region has been cleared by your order. I must have your further orders and your permission to clean the rest of the kingdom." and then she took out a scroll signed by King Leo and handed it to Atlas.
Immediately after Atlas took the scroll in his hand and signed it with the mana trace, Emma looked inside the cage took the scroll from Atlas and asked, "Did you find them, sir?"
Atlas smiled and pointed inside the cage, right behind the adults, and then said, "Yes....yes I did."
When Atlas said these words, the expression on Emma’s face, which was covered with blood and frankly looked quite scary, turned into a happy one, and Emma smiled and said, "I’m glad, my lord." and left the room.
After that, Atlas returned to those in the cage and started to carry the eleven people in the cage with his magic and then first left the room and then the building.
Immediately after leaving the building, he saw the nobles standing around and locking each of the vigilantes in their carriages.
Some of the nobles were seriously on their knees. It would even be fair to say that they almost prostrated themselves to Atlas.
"Save your prostration for Lady Nyx, not me. It is none other than the great goddess who told me to come here."
To put it bluntly, Atlas had explained to Nyx quite easily why he kept saying that.
After all, every time one of them had asked him what was going on, he had told them that the great goddess had shown him a prophecy and a dream.
Nyx was naturally curious and kept asking Atlas why he had done such a thing. Well, the answer was quite normal, but it was an answer that would stop Nyx and every goddess and god along with her from questioning what was going on:
[My lady, I am indeed having these dreams, perhaps time is playing tricks on me...perhaps it is your son Moros and your daughters Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos playing tricks on me, or perhaps it is Chaos himself trying to show me. Nevertheless, I choose to believe in my dreams. Please, allow me to use your name, even if it is embarrassing.]
With these words, Atlas had managed to convince Nyx and reduce the interrogations that had descended upon him.
Nevertheless, with these words, other questions had been seared into the minds of everyone watching him. After all, no one thought that neither Moros, nor Clotho, Lachesis and Atrapos, nor time, Chronos, had done anything.
Chaos had made it very clear to the gods and goddesses that this was not happening, and that they should only watch.
In this case, either Chaos had taken a hand in the business, or a power that no one could think of was helping and guiding Atlas.
Of course...None of them could even imagine that Atlas had travelled back in time. How could they?
Each of the nobles nodded with great hope and joy as they heard Atlas’ words.
Atlas finally yawned deeply and then gently placed the eleven people he had taken from the cage on the ground. There was a lot to talk about.
When Atlas put the group of eleven on the ground, he yawned again and with a strange feeling of fatigue, he turned to the people he had come here to find.
Contrary to what he had expected, he did not have an emotion that made him cry. In front of him were a man and a woman who had given their lives for him. The woman among these people was the woman he had fallen head over heels in love with in his previous life, that is, before going back in time.
Atlas involuntarily felt a sense of unity, but realised that his feelings had already changed. Right now, he had no other wish than to see the woman in front of him as a friend.
Instead, he wanted to choose to love Cassandra, who had been following him for almost two years and was ready to do whatever he wanted.
Even if he wasn’t sure of his feelings, even if romance was at an endpoint for him, he still strangely wished for it.
"Arthur and Helena. Half-Wolf and Half-Elf. I was sent here by the High Goddess Nyx to rescue you two, and I have accomplished my mission," Atlas said suddenly.
However, looking at the other children and the adults who had tried to protect them before, he asked, "Are you all together?"
As they all nodded at the same time, Atlas realised that he had never had this kind of information in his previous life. It was as if Arthur and even Helena, who had moved away from this place, had mentioned it, but it was already stored in the deepest recesses of Atlas’ mind.
And Atlas had no intention of letting these painful, frightening and disgusting memories out.
"Well, this is very different from the dream I had. Then you can come too," Atlas added to his own words.
As he spoke these words, the small group looked at each other. As they were trying to figure out what was going on, Arthur asked, "Where to, sir?", albeit fearfully.
Atlas realised that when he heard the word "Sir" it was as if his entire body had been caught in a flood of emotion.
It was as if those books that he had locked in the deepest recesses of his mind just a few minutes ago had been opened one by one and the pages were lined up one after the other.
In a short time, the tears falling from his face onto the ashen floor seemed to surprise everyone around.
"Oh..." Atlas muttered to himself and then coughed softly and added, "Sorry about that."
Immediately afterwards, he wiped away his tears and said, "We’re going to my duchy. If you come with me, I will give you suitable jobs and you two, Arthur and Helena...you don’t even have to work all your lives. I’ll pay for everything."
While the two were trying to figure out what was going on, Atlas managed to fully come to himself and then received a message saying [Are you okay?]
This message was from Nyx.
"I’m fine, my lady, the dreams seem to have affected me greatly," Atlas said calmly, and then turned to the soldiers around him and shouted, "WATCH EVERY SINGLE BUILDING, EVERY PERSON WITH NEGATIVE KARMA WILL BE ARRESTED AND TRIALED!"
Immediately after that, he frowned and said, "They will pay. For everything they have done." He then turned to the group of eleven and said, "Stick together and when you get to the royal palace, tell the knights that you are under my command. They will take good care of you."
Emma was already on the move, he had to catch up with her, as her lord he could not leave the young woman alone.
