Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes-Chapter 20: Not Even Close
Chapter 20 - Not Even Close
Facing the duo, Atlas held the holy sword in his hand as tightly as he could, and with a single movement, he avoided the blades of one of the attackers and plunged his sword into the other attacker.
In just a few seconds, the holy sword itself was thrust into the abdomen of one of the assassin attackers. There was such a massive outpouring of blood. Although Atlas had not yet removed the holy sword from his body, the snow that had fallen on the earth had turned red.
While the attackers were trying to understand what was happening with great astonishment, Atlas did not even use the holy sword in his hand and threw his hand to the other attacker, grabbed the attacker by his clothes and threw him to the snow-covered ground.
At that moment, he pulled the holy sword, which was covered with blood, out of his body and stabbed the fallen assassin right in the chest.
In less than fifteen seconds, two assassins were dead. It was incredibly fast for them to react. At that moment, Atlas' voice was heard:
"You should have waited until we were asleep, a group of assassins fighting so badly, it's unbelievable."
His words were quite true. In his previous life,e they had attacked just as they were about to set off, but this time it had happened much faster. This meant that something had indeed changed, or that the timing of the events of his previous life could have been altered in a tit-for-tat fashion.
Still, none of that mattered at the moment.
Atlas lunged forward again, but this time he ignored the two remaining swordsmen and dodged between them. His target was the two mages standing directly behind each attacker.
The two warriors were stunned for a few seconds by Atlas' speed, not realising of course that he had already cast a spell to strengthen his own body.
As Atlas came in front of the mages, he swung the holy sword and knocked the small staff out of one of their hands.
Then he turned to the mage on his left and said, "Fire Stream!"
As soon as he said these words, a torrent of fire came out of Atlas' hand. Metres of flame travelled from his hand into the trees and managed to burn even the frozen trees behind him.
When the spell ended, the sorcerer, his face burnt and bloodied, suddenly fell to the ground and died on the spot. At that moment, Atlas moved to plunge the holy sword into the mage next to him.
But it wasn't going to be that easy.
Atlas suddenly took a few steps backwards and was suddenly surrounded by 5 aura warriors as the three assassins who had gone to hunt the nobles returned.
The sorcerer, whose staff had fallen to the ground and could not figure out what was happening out of fear, somehow managed to come to himself and took his staff back.
Atlas deliberately aimed this magic attack towards the nearby trees. The reason he did this was to inform the academy professors, who were likely to be nearby, where the battle was.
The professors were aware of the possibility of an attack, as he had previously thought in his previous life. It had just never occurred to them that it might be this late.
Which meant that the professors were probably looking for the boys even now.
Atlas had the power and experience to take out the assassins here one by one. It was only the possibility of others that intimidated him. Even if he had a deep hatred and distrust of humans and no longer wished to save the whole world, he still had no problem with other races.
In the group of nobles, the number of people was almost negligible.

They had to be protected.
Amid all these thoughts, Atlas clutched his holy sword tighter and closed his hand this time to cast spells at any moment, wanting to protect his body at least by spreading magic to his own body.
"How can you use both aura and magic!?" one of the assassins suddenly shouted.
Atlas smiled when he heard these words and opened the palm of his left hand again, and then he pointed his hand to the ground without showing it.
"Who knows?" Atlas suddenly muttered, and then a large amount of mana began to spill out of his outstretched hand towards the ground.
"Wind Burst!" Atlas suddenly muttered, and with that, the mana suddenly transformed into the element of air, and a huge mass of snow, over a metre in height, began to fly outwards.
As the assassins tried to shield their eyes, Atlas lunged forward again and then stabbed the assassin who had just questioned him in the chest, right where his heart was.
The assassin was too shocked to make a sound and died on the spot.
Atlas, on the other hand, stepped forward without stopping and running again towards the unprotected sorcerer.
The mage assassin was terrified, but there was nothing he could do. Indeed, within seconds the sorcerer's head was severed from his neck.
Atlas turned around and spread his aura all over his body in order to attack. The traces of aura and mana coming out of his body revealed an incredible image.
At that moment, several women and men emerged from the trees.
While they were trying to understand what was going on, the elven nobleman held on to one of the men and shouted, "Professor! Please help him!" he shouted.
With his shout, the man suddenly opened his palm, and then a truly gigantic, unbelievably huge mass of mana was released outwards.
The amount of this mana was so large that even Atlas couldn't help but be overwhelmed after all the psychological hardship and battle he had gone through.
This person was one of the five great mages of the Hero Academy Globe. An Eleventh-Grade mage, the second highest magical rank, the Great Grand-Master.
He was Abraham Endrick himself.
