Apocalypse: Infinite Breaker Online-Chapter 39: Smooth Expedition
"So this is a level 300 to no limit area?" Maria raised her eyebrows. "I suppose we shouldn’t venture too deep."
"Just the forest below is fine." James looked at the forest below. "Death Virtue Orchids should be there alongside level 300 monsters."
"Level 300 is perfect for us now." Axir smiled. Past level 100, players could only get bonus experience by killing monsters 100 levels higher than themselves. Since he reached level 153 and was losing bonus, level 300 monsters were perfect.
And this time, he had an uber powerful card combo.
"Let’s go down." Axir jumped off.
The others also followed. They didn’t need help falling down two kilometers. Everyone’s stats had increased massively since they had also reached level 134.
Axir landed first, scanning the front area using Mana Eyes. If people can’t use their eyes, they could use Mana Field to sense the surroundings.
But if people can use the eyes, they can use Mana Eyes, an advanced technique that requires precise control of Mana to flow into the veins of the eyes to enhance it, allowing one to see the flow of energies.
Siddha and others could already use it and other techniques, as Axir had told them about it, and they had mastered it in the past hour, except Aunt Kira, who was slow but steadily gaining proficiency.
Grrr....
A deep, hollow growl echoed as Aunt Kira landed on her feet at last.
"We have a guest welcoming us already." James gripped his Gravemarch Mace tightly, ready for action.
Ling raised her Novasun Halberd to blind the
Robin and Maria aimed their Slingshot and Rifle, respectively.
"Aunt, switch the weapon. Use this." Axir gave her the Volstring Warbow. "Hit the first arrow when you see it, and the next ones will automatically home towards it. This can be used by us to trace these camouflaging monsters faster."
They could predict and move more quickly based on the arrow’s trajectory and their sensory perception.
"Got it." Aunt Kira nodded.
Sakamoto was ready with the Roaring Impact Bat, and Siddha held the Cinder Verdict Katana to inflict Verdict.
"Let’s see the power of our new card." Axir vanished and appeared behind the monster that was half inside the darkness and half outside. It looked like a wolf.
[Deathbound Ravager]

Slashing it, he attracted its agro and brought it towards the group using Librated Drift.
Robin’s first Slingshot missed as the monster dodged, but it was an area attack, so the monster was still staggered away due to the blast.
Aunt Kira used this chance to shoot and succeeded.
Maria also shot a bullet, activating sequence 1 to lock it down.
However, it turned ethereal and quickly moved away from the Gravity Prison.
Aunt Kira was shooting arrows constantly as they homed towards the target and hit it, dealing almost no damage, but revealing its position. It was debuffed in a sense, and it was a fire-based debuff.
Ling wanted to hit it, but it was still too fast for her to get close and hit it to blind it successfully.
However, Siddha managed to strike it by predicting its movement and barely dodging its claws. He successfully inflicted a Verdict.
Axir arrived next to it and struck it with his Ashveil Edge tens of times in a second, attracting its agro again.
In the group, only he was capable of dodging these high-level fast monsters thanks to his Librated Drift, so keeping agro on him was most important.
It lunged at Axir, abruptly, but Axir appeared ten meters above using Librated Drift, consumed 500 Sunlit Fuel, and activated Violent Sunbow Deluge by spending 50% of his Mana.
Moreover, since it was attacked, the Verdict was activated, causing an explosion on its left hind leg and blasting it away.
Fifty meters above, a giant spectral bow with violet and orange sparks and flame-like design manifested, raining 50 arrows per second!
All of them homed towards the Deathbound Ravager at swift speed, striking it ruthlessly as it stumbled and crashed again, giving everyone a chance to attack it.
The following arrows from the spectral bow hit it faster and harder.
Robin struck it with Singling shots, stunning it completely.
Ling blinded it with Novasun Halberd.
James struck it to turn it into Flame Undead once it dies.
Aunt Kira shot arrows without pause.
Siddha inflicted Verdicts.
Maria didn’t do anything because in the next three seconds, Deathbound Ravager died.
[Your party has successfully killed....]
Notifications arrived, and everyone leveled up.
"Please, let the equipment have an Agility boost. It’s hard to keep up with these monsters of high agility." James wryly smiled.
"Yeah, only Axir and Siddha got good boots that boost their Agility significantly." Ling clicked her tongue.
"This Ring has an agility boost!" Robin shouted.
Everyone inspected the Ring it dropped.
[Darkin Underworld Ring]
Rank: Prime-2 | Rare
Requirement: 200 Agility, 150 Arcane.
<Equip Boost>
—> 250% Agility Stat boost.
—> +500 Darkness Resistance.
<Effect>
—> Allows you to see in the dark clearly.
—> Increase all Darkness-based damage by 30%.
"250% boost! Hallelujah." James grinned. "Whoever equips it, our survival chance has increased yet again."
And then the atmosphere turned deathly silent in the next second.
Axir and Siddha moved back while the rest of the group gathered into a circle, their expression somber.
Sakamoto put an empty potion vial on the ground in the center and looked at Axir.
Axir flicked his finger, using Mana to spin the vial.
It spun, and spun, and spun...pointing at Aunt Kira, but it moved a bit more and stopped, its head pointing at Robin next to her.
"Let’s go!!" Robin grinned. "I have faster attack speed, movement speed, and can see in the dark now. Don’t worry, I’ll 100% stun all the monsters."
"I think this might be a bad idea," Axir said while looking at the forest. "We should have farmed for one hour more in Kagara Ruins to get more equipment and boost our stats. However, we can’t go back now, so here’s what we will do."
"We are the edge here, so there won’t be monsters coming here, hopefully. I’ll go ahead alone and scout for Death Virtue Orchids. That’s our main objective here, and we need seven Orchids. If there are groups of monsters ahead in this dark forest, we’ll be done if we go together."
Everyone blinked.
True.
"Sounds good. Although we wouldn’t have wasted the trip even if we failed, I would still like us to go back with Death Virtue Orchids." Siddha nodded. "We’ll leave it to you then, Axir."
...
Time passed as seconds turned into minutes, and minutes into hours. The group had to move carefully because it turned out that this place was sprawling with monsters moving in the group.
And Death Virtue Orchids were nowhere in sight at first. It was only when they moved deeper and began encountering level 350 monsters that they found their first Death Virtue Orchid. One hour and forty-four minutes after arriving here.
But fortunately, this area was it. Now they just had to survive while roaming in this area to find more Death Virtue Orchids.
The area was absurdly vast, but their expedition was going perfectly well thanks to the Shivanta Sunborn Artist deck’s weapons and exotic card combos.
