Apocalypse: Infinite Breaker Online-Chapter 42: Drama King

In the video, Selena and Jason were sitting next to each other on the couch with Jason holding her hand and Selena’s head resting on his chest as they both were watching TV.

"Selena, how long do you have to pretend? And even if you want to pretend, you shouldn’t forget about me." Jason sighed. "I hate it when he is so intimate with you."

"We planned this as a joke, but we can’t casually stop this now." Selena tilted her head upward and looked at him. "He is becoming an unstoppable force, so I have to stay as his queen. Only then will he make me strong and give me everything I want. Once we are strong, we can kill him."

Turning off the video, Lexi got off the bed as she threw the phone on the bed. "I told you...she was pretending. Now you believe it."

Axir’s face was blank. Pale. His head down.

"No...impossible..." Axir muttered tremblingly. "She loves me. She even kisses me."

’Let’s begin the play.’ His eyes glinted with cold amusement.

"So what? She also kisses Jason. She just did that in that video I showed you, but I just didn’t want to show you that since you would feel more hurt." Lexi sighed. "Sorry, Axir, but...she was pretending from the start. She doesn’t love you."

Axir looked up and looked straight at Lexi, his eyes dropping tears. "Why?"

Lexi was taken aback seeing him cry, startled.

Axir sniffed, his hands hanging down while Lexi caressed his back.

Lexi stood before him, thinking about how to proceed.

"What?! No!" Lexi shouted, dumbfounded. But then she realized she made a blunder by saying it like that, and quickly saved herself.

"I mean, you shouldn’t kill them right off the bat." Lexi made him sit on the bed and sat next to him, caressing his back. "First, calm down. I am with you, and I will help you do whatever you want."

Axir wiped his face of tears. "What do you mean? Why shouldn’t I kill them now? And why would you help me kill your brother?"

"Because..." Lexi looked at Axir lovingly, her face clearly flushed slightly, appearing hesitant and embarrassed. "I love you..."

’I nailed it!’ She inwardly screamed.

"W-What?" Axir was startled. He was feeling like a puppeteer controlling his puppet, but instead of strings, he was using his words and acting.

"Y-you love me? Since when? I never saw you showing interest in me like that." Axir continued speaking, shaking his head and standing up. "You are lying. You also just want to use me because I am the number one player."

"That’s not true!" Lexi got up and stood in front of him before grabbing his shoulders and making him sit on the bed. "You were always dashing, hardworking, and cool in school."

She pouted. "But you were after Selena, so how could I show my feelings? I had no choice but to suppress them and thought that I should forget about you."

"But I just couldn’t continue anymore. I know it’s only been two days you two got together, but seeing you get played by Selena while I suppress my feelings..."

Lexi bit her lips, her eyes closing tightly as she brought down tears from her eyes.

Axir looked at her with a cold smile. ’Average acting. 6 out of 10.’

"But I can’t anymore. I love you, and I don’t want your heart broken, so I exposed Selena." Lexi opened her eyes, and Axir’s smile also vanished as he turned pitiful and angry again.

"I..." Axir’s head turned down. "I don’t know...I feel like I can’t trust anything right now, and I need to kill those two."

"Why kill them now?" Lexi snorted. "They planned to keep you in the dark for a long time and make you suffer, so you should keep playing with them and make them suffer. I will help you."

"But I...don’t know if you are playing with me or not...this is all so confusing..." Axir frowned as he clutched his head with both of his hands. "I don’t know....I think I should just get away from all of you after killing Selena and Jason."

"A-And leave me, too?" Lexi began crying. "I love you, Axir. I finally said it, and saved you from their plan."

Axir looked at her as he wiped his face, his red eyes looking at her with a defeated expression and a weak smile. "And how can you prove it? Selena also said she loves me, and I believed that. She kisses me lovingly, but that’s also fake. People confess to others with bad intentions and fake stuff, so how can you prove if your love is true?"

"I can’t...deal with this." Axir stood up. "Selena didn’t let me love her like a lover, so I should have known. I was stupid and an idiot."

"But not anymore." Axir stood up.
