Tom felt he understood the logic of how the universe worked. If humans wanted to rise higher, they had to improve their genetics. But there was one thing Tom wondered: Was this how the system worked in other species?

In the morning Tom woke up, got ready and walked to the assembly area to meet his team. When he saw Ferguson and his team members, he nodded to them.

"It’s our time, let’s go," Ferguson said. They took their places with Kane’s team, nodding to each other.

Tom ran towards the wolves and with a single blow he decapitated two of them. Everyone in his team looked at him in amazement. Tom smiled, intoxicated by his new power. He quickly dodged the incoming attacks and destroyed the monsters with his dark attack combined slash ability. His new body was made for martial arts; it was incredibly flexible.

He could add more power to his attacks and bend his body at any angle. This allowed him to perfectly position each strike and quickly dodge attacks. Thanks to his regenerated nervous system, Tom could now react with incredible speed.

Just then, a walrus came across the street. This was the perfect opportunity to try out his new body. He activated his time-bending ability. As usual, time slowed down immensely. The walrus seemed to be moving in slow motion. But one thing was different; Tom’s body used to feel resistance in this flow of time, but now the current was adapting to it.

Tom quickly reached the bear’s side and the dark attack cut deep into its neck with a compound slash. The bear was able to recognize it, but not fast enough to react.

A moment later the team members heard a loud roar. They turned their heads to see that Tom had cut half of the walrus’s neck and the bear had collapsed, screaming in pain. Their mouths dropped open in astonishment at the sight. Walruses were extremely powerful creatures. Normally it would take 10 warriors 10 minutes to defeat a walrus. But Tom had single-handedly defeated one in just one second.

His teammates looked at Tom with a mixture of awe and respect, nodded in agreement and focused on their battle. Tom was amazed at his new strength. He felt his strength had increased at least fivefold. Smiling with this, he continued the battle.

At the end of the day, Tom obtained four walrus cores and 15 wolf cores.

Tom decided to use the extracts he had gained.

Tom looked at his statistics. He realized that he needed to increase his genetic level to get stronger. He knew that this would only be possible in time with his legendary endurance ability. But for the moment he couldn’t find a faster method

Tom saw someone outside his tent. When he came out, there was a man of about 30 years old standing in front of him. He didn’t know his name, but he remembered that he was on the same team with him.

Tom thought it would be good to spend some time and decided to join the party.
