Beast World: I Became the Little Villain's Mommy-Chapter 446: Extra: Chasing the Evil God’s Wife 11_1
"Si Yan, don’t pay attention to her," Qiu Mei said. "Sand Fur is just a temperamental sand cat."
Sand Fur glared fiercely at Qiu Mei and then sneezed again.
The Witch Doctor grabbed a handful of medicine and handed it to Sand Fur. "You’ve caught a cold and still can’t calm down. Catching a cold in this hot weather must be tough on you."
Sand Fur murmured with her head down, "Thank you, Aunt Yang."
To her surprise, Si Yan actually saw ginger in this medicine.
Was that really ginger?
Uncertain, she took another look.
"Can I take a look at this prescription?" Si Yan asked.
Sand Fur looked at Si Yan, puzzled, before swiftly handing her the medicine.
Si Yan took the herbs and saw not only ginger but also dried red chili peppers.
"These are all things that expel cold," the Witch Doctor, Aunt Yang, said with a smile. "Just boil them, and you can drink it."
Sand Fur frowned. "It’s not tasty; it bites the mouth."
"These are precious medicines," Aunt Yang said, tapping her on the head. "So, no matter if they taste good or bad, you have to drink them all."
Sand Fur, looking innocent and very well-behaved at the Witch Doctor’s place, said, "I understand."
After she finished speaking, she snatched the medicine from Si Yan and, with her impressive leaping ability, disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Si Yan was very interested in the medicinal materials at the Witch Doctor’s place. "Aunt Yang," she asked, "can I take a look at your herbs?"
The Witch Doctor nodded, and Si Yan discovered some surprises among the array of herbs in the hut.
Garlic hung at the door, dried red chilies were spread out to dry, and there were slabs of ginger...
Si Yan and the two cubs looked at these items with as much excitement as if they had discovered peerless treasures.
The sight of one adult and two children, all with shining eyes, truly amused the Witch Doctor. She said with a laugh, "If you like them, I can give you some."
"That would be too embarrassing," Si Yan said, becoming reticent. "I... I’ll find something to trade with you."
As soon as she finished speaking, Si Yan hurried back to her cave, brought her backpack over, and opened it.
"I have some snacks here. Do you want them?"
Qiu Mei and the Witch Doctor curiously looked at her bag.
Wu Xie and Wu Yang immediately grew anxious. They shielded Si Yan’s bag, nudging it insistently.
"Sister," Wu Xie said, "we can wait until Uncle Wang catches some game to trade. The things inside are too precious to give away."
Wu Yang also eagerly agreed, "MHM MHM!"
These were their six little ones’ precious snacks—very, very precious.
"But I can’t just take Wang’s catch for nothing," Si Yan said.
"It’s fine to take, it’s fine!" Wu Xie exclaimed.
"MHM MHM!" Wu Yang chimed in.
The protective behavior of Wu Xie and Wu Yang amused the females present. Not wanting to make things difficult, the Witch Doctor grabbed a handful of ginger, dried chili, and garlic. "No need to trade," she said. "I’ll give these to you."
Si Yan, holding the Witch Doctor’s gift, felt the warmth of this world’s kindness on her slightly flushed face.
Just then, a commotion arose in the village. Qiu Mei ran out, and Si Yan and the others followed to see what was happening.
They saw a Beastman shouting, "The Sand Monster has appeared! Hurry, hurry, all adult male Beastmen follow me to drive away the Sand Monster!"
Then, they saw tall male Beastmen running out from all directions in the village, transforming into their beast forms, and following the call.
Qiu Mei said, "The Sand Monster is here again. It’s been showing up quite frequently lately."
Before Si Yan could find out what the Sand Monster was, she suddenly saw a small, agile figure following the group out of the village.
"Sand Fur went out too," Si Yan said.
Qiu Mei sneered. "She always does. After all, she might get to see Little Wolf."
Si Yan was somewhat curious. "Can we take a look from a distance?" she asked.
Qiu Mei’s eyes lit up. She grabbed Si Yan’s hand, pulling her along. "Of course we can. Let’s go!"
The Green Sand Tribe wasn’t far from the desert. When Si Yan and the two cubs got near the battlefield, they didn’t dare to get too close. She watched the males of Beast World fighting desperately to protect the females and cubs. Even knowing they might not necessarily win, she felt a strange sense of security from the males of this world.
There was a sort of glorious conviction that said, ’As long as I live, everyone can survive. If anything happens to the females, the elderly, or the children, it will be only over my dead body.’
Wu Xie pointed at a small figure. "Sister, look quickly! That’s Sister Sand Fur!"
Si Yan and Qiu Mei followed his gaze. Not far ahead, they saw Sand Fur hiding behind a tree, clenching her teeth as she watched the battle unfold.
Si Yan asked, "What is that monster?"
Qiu Mei replied, "Are you talking about the Sand Monster? You don’t know about them?"
Si Yan shook her head.
Qiu Mei explained, "They are spirits formed from the natural elements of Beast World. There are Water Monsters in the sea, and likewise, there are Sand Monsters in the desert."
Si Yan somewhat understood, but not completely.
Qiu Mei pointed to a person. "Look at that one," she said. "That little guy is Little Wolf."
Si Yan followed Qiu Mei’s hand and saw two males over there. One had silver hair that stood on end, and his eyes were also silver, mysterious and brilliant like the Milky Way. He looked noble and handsome, with a tall and upright figure.
The other appeared to be an adolescent boy with fierce eyes, crouched and ready to strike at any moment.
Wu Xie and Wu Yang’s eyes instantly lit up. "Uncle Tai Seng! It’s Uncle Tai Seng!"
Tai Seng?
Si Yan turned and asked, "You know him?"
Wu Xie and Wu Yang nodded frantically.
Wu Yang said, "Uncle Tai Seng is our mother’s Guardian Beast. He’s part of our family."
Wu Xie’s eyes curved into a smile. She was very fond of the fluffy Tai Seng; in fact, all six cubs were very fond of Tai Seng. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
"Sister, there’s nothing to fear when Uncle Tai Seng is here," Wu Xie said. "He’s very strong."
At first, Qiu Mei didn’t think much when she heard "Guardian Beast." But when she saw the silver-haired man suddenly reveal a Gold Beast Crystal on his forehead, she stood up in shock.
"Are you saying," Qiu Mei asked, shocked, "that Jin Jing Beastman is your mother’s Guardian Beast?"
Wu Xie gave a confident nod. "Mmhmm."
Qiu Mei was speechless.
Stunned, Qiu Mei sized up the two cubs. "What kind of status does your mother have," she asked, "to actually have a Jin Jing Beastman as her Guardian Beast?"
A Jin Jing Beastman as merely a Guardian Beast? Then how strong must her Beast Husband be?
The strongest warrior of the Green Sand Tribe was merely a Red Crystal Beastman!
The family of these two cubs must be extraordinary.
Proudly, Wu Xie boasted, "There are plenty of Jin Jing Beastmen who want to be our mother’s Guardian Beast! Uncle Bai Feng, the High Priest; Uncle Ming Yan, the City Lord of Black Tiger City; Uncle Dark Saint from the Dragon Clan; and many, many more... Our mother didn’t accept any of them."
The names Wu Xie mentioned were all very prominent throughout Beast World. Qiu Mei’s mouth twitched. "Little sister," she said, "are you sure you’re not still dreaming?"
A gust of wind rose up, and Little Wolf charged to fight with the Sand Monster.
Sand Fur immediately stood up anxiously.
Little Wolf had a twisted, disabled leg. He seemed to struggle a bit when running, but his fighting spirit was brimming.
Nevertheless, in his current state, he was no match for the Sand Monster.
Right at the moment when Little Wolf was about to be swallowed by the Sand Monster, a sturdy ice wall, emitting a bone-chilling coldness, suddenly erected itself in front of him.
The silver wolf Beastman, Tai Seng, looked stern.
"Impatient," he said.
Little Wolf lowered his gaze, obedient. "I was too hasty. I’m sorry, Teacher Tai Seng."
