Beastmen Love-Chapter 140: Central Area

Who knows Astri also knows that her weak spot is her children.

"So what? It’s not my fault you chose a weakling." Viola snorts.

"Tyr? Dieg?" Astri calls.

"Yes, love?" They answer, already sensing her angry energy.

Everyone sensed the change in the air.

"The Central Area. Now."

The Central Area is where duels happen, and that made her children excited because they know their mom will kick Viola’s ass.

"Yes, love." They nod.

"You, what is your name?" Astri asks the tiger beastman.

"Fang, my lady." He answers promptly.

"Please, Mister Fang, go to our castle and warn my other spouses we will take longer to come back home."

He nods, happy that she trusted him to do something for her, then he runs away.

Tyr tells Viola’s males what it means to go to the Central Area, and that shocked their souls out of their bodies. Because that means no matter the outcome they will be punished for the disrespect towards the Queen.

"Lady Astri, please. She won’t do that again." Viola’s males try to apologize.

"Don’t! I will gladly duel with her. They can’t banish us if we duel. She’s the one choosing this." Viola says, smiling like a champion.

Astri walks away with her children, now carrying Atlas and holding Yuki’s hand. Dieg goes away in search of his father to tell him about the duel. Since the implementation of the new laws, it’s now a rule that every duel must be known by the leaders and the reason for it.

Tyr orders the guards to go first to organize the Central Area and he accompanies Astri.

"Let me help carry Atlas, the Watcher." Tyr says to Astri, and carries Atlas playing with his belly, making him giggle softly.

Atlas got this name because day by day he likes to watch everything and tries to copy. He’s in the phase where babies are very curious.

Fang arrives at the front gate of the castle and tells the guards Astri’s message. A guard rushes inside and tells Koa, who quickly tells the others. Claud quickly opens Astri’s workshop and sees Kangki training his writing.

"Come with us." Claud says.

"Where?"

"You will like this."

Kangki looks at Claud with curiosity.

"The only thing that would make me want to leave is Astri. If you’re calling me it’s because it’s about her." Kangki says.

"It is. Like I said, you will like this. Come."

Claud walks away and then Kangki sighs before following him. Kangki noticed the other spouses were excited for some reason, so he followed them very curious about what is going to happen.

However, seeing a crowd of people made Kangki very uncomfortable. Kangki is not a Monster anymore, but his personality is very much like Zin’s when it’s about other people. They don’t care or try to like them, the only reason for them to be there is their mate and only that.

"There she is!" Beau points and they fast their pace to meet Astri.

"Are you dueling with someone, love? Why?" Cyprian asks.

"She had hit Hopin." She answers coldly.

"Oh.." They answer, now, understanding why she would retort to that.

"You don’t have to do this. I don’t care about what she did or said." Hopin pulls Astri’s arm.

"But I do. You’re my cub, Hopin. And through you and me she will learn that disrespect towards anyone here takes the wrong results." Astri passes her hand on his hair with a loving smile.

Hopin doesn’t know if he’s happy or frustrated, because he doesn’t want Astri to get hurt because of him.

"Duel? What is this?" Kangki asks Claud.

"Just watch and thank me later." Claud chuckles.

Ana sees Kangki in the middle of Astri’s spouses and gets shocked and scared, wondering if he’s there to take her or someone else. Ana quickly walks to Astri and touches her arm, to whisper in her ear:

"Why is he here? I didn’t do anything."

Astri looks at her confused and then looks at who she’s looking at and sees Kangki.

"Oh. He’s not here to take anyone. He’s not what he used to be, if I may say. He..changed and is my spouse now, in shorts." Astri explains.

"You can do that?" Ana asks, impressed, making Astri chuckles.

"I did it because he wanted to. If he didn’t want it I wouldn’t be capable of anything."

"Oh..."

Viola’s spouses arrived, she had 12, and they were all scared when they saw Astri’s spouses. All of Viola’s spouses are not stronger than 4 marks, so they can’t even fight for territory or earn respect after the match. Internally, they’re hoping Astri loses because it would save them from being banished at least.

Dieg finds Shung at the front gate of the tribes, with Lee and Wayde. The three of them are welcoming a special guest, the leader of a big tribe in the north called Spring Tribe. He wears an expensive green silk skirt with gems, his hair is long and dark gray, and his skin is pale and toned.

"We welcome you, Leader of Spring Tribe, Xzan. Long time no see." Lee says.

"Indeed, Leader Lee."

Xzan breathes pride and that is obvious from miles away.

"These are my companions. Leaders Wayde and Shung. And these are The United Tribes."

"Sorry to disturb you, but Astri is at the Central Area waiting for us to duel a disrespectful female." Dieg says.

"Astri? Duel?" Wayde asks.

"Yes. A new female called Viola. She hurt Hopin."

Wayde, Lee, and Shung can already imagine how mad Astri has become already.

"What is happening?" Xzan asks.

"Come. Later we will explain." Lee gestures to Xzan and his companions to follow them.

They ran to the Central Area where everyone was anxious for the duel to happen. Lee, Wayde, and Dieg went stand next to their other companions, as they were excited for their favorite game to begin.

Xzan looked at the two females and then his hair caught in his throat when he saw Astri. Her energy naturally caught his attention and he’s amazed with her beauty even wearing winter clothes.

"We are here to watch a duel between Lady Astri, the Lady of The United Tribe’s castle, and Lady Viola. What would be your terms?" Shung announces and asks Astri and Viola.

"I can have her spouses and castle when I win." Viola affirms that she already won with her demeanor.

"She will respect my cubs and family, and that if she even touches any of us after this duel’s end, she will be banished from these walls." Astri says.

"The terms are said. The rules are that it is forbidden to kill the other, to poison, or use any weapon. Who makes the other give up or lose consciousness is the winner. Clear?" Shung asks.

Viola nods and Astri too. Shung steps back and then screams:

"START!"

Viola shifts her hands to her panther claws and launches at Astri quickly, trying to surprise Astri with speed. However, Astri deflected her hands easily by redirecting them with her arms, turning Viola to the side and then giving a very good punch to Viola’s face, then grabbing Viola’s wrist, twisting it strongly and kicking her legs to make her roll on the air and fall with her back flat on the ground.

"Oooh!!" Everyone mouths amazed by Astri’s techniques.

When Astri is about to kick Viola’s face on the ground, Viola rolls away and locks her shocked eyes on Astri.

Kangki is gawking at Astri, then taps on Claud’s shoulder saying: "Thank you."

"I told you." Claud says, enjoying the view himself.

Astri watches Viola circling her as the predator she is, but Viola doesn’t want to attack first anymore, so she keeps circling waiting for Astri’s movement. Astri smiles, and then pretends she will attack to see where Viola will jump and then attacks for real before Viola can react again.

Astri circles her body and hits her elbow on Viola’s face, then grabs her head quickly and throws her on the ground after a low kick. Viola tries to turn around but Astri holds her arm, kicks the back of Viola’s head, and then locks one of Viola’s arms with a leg, and with the other, she holds Viola’s head on the ground.

Then Astri forces Viola’s arm on a weird angle, making Viola cry in pain.

"Ooooh!" Everyone cheers for Astri.

"This female... She’s not a common female." Xzan thinks and looks at Lee. "Now I know why he settled. He wouldn’t accept any female."

Viola feels that her arm will break, so she retorts to shift to her panther form.

Astri quickly adjusts her stance as Viola’s transformation completes, her opponent now is a sleek panther.

Astri, undeterred, widens her stance, her eyes locked on Viola. Viola prowls around Astri, her growl reverberating through the arena. She lunges, claws extended, aiming to slash Astri across the chest. Astri anticipates the move, sidestepping just enough to avoid the lethal claws. She uses Viola’s momentum to her advantage, pivoting and delivering a swift, controlled kick to the panther’s side, causing Viola to stagger.
