As Hiro began to eat, Raiden’s gaze settled on him with a warm, pleased smile. He was delighted to see Hiro in the sweater he had bought him - the pink and white stripes accentuating his innocent features. The soft, pastel colours brought out the softness of Hiro’s sandy brown hair, and the champagne-colored eyes seemed to sparkle even brighter against the gentle hue. The sleeves were a little too long for Hiro for they almost covered up his hands but Raiden loved the way that Hiro’s fingers were peeking out which was extremely cute. He held his phone in a non-suspicious angle, turned off the shutter sound and discreetly took pictures of Hiro.

Gosh his baby was so cute.

“Sir!”

Raiden’s eyes snapped back into focus, and he was a little startled by the sudden interruption. He had been so caught up in Hiro’s beauty that he had forgotten that he was still talking to his secretary. He felt a slight flush rise to his cheeks as he realized he had spaced out.

He cleared his throat, trying to compose himself, and turned back to the phone. "Sorry, what did you say?" he asked, his deep voice smooth as silk.

“I was asking if you’re going to come in today. You have a meeting with the CEO of Sejong International at 3pm.”

“B-But sir, they’re coming from Korea today just to meet with you. I’m afraid the CEO would feel insulted that-”

“Miss Ling,” Raiden called, cutting her off.

The secretary gulped and let out a shaky; “Y-Yes sir?”

“Do you still love your job?”

“Yes sir. Very much sir.”

“I don’t think you do. You see, my boyfriend’s sister has been operated on and he wants to spend time with her. Tell me, which is more important? Giving my boyfriend the care and support he needs or going to a meet a man who wants me to invest in a project we have already evaluated and deemed useless?”

Hiro’s ears tinged red when he heard Raiden call him his boyfriend. He couldn’t believe it. So Raiden was really serious about the boyfriend talk.

Miss Ling began to stutter; “I-I.....”

“You should go to the meeting.” Hiro suddenly said.

Raiden raised a brow in suspicion. “Why? Do you not want me around you?”

Miss Ling started to sweat on her seat. It seemed like she was about to listen to a lover’s quarrel. She wondered, should she hang up or not? But if she hung up, her Boss might take it as disrespect.

“That’s not it.” Hiro hurried to correct him. “I just don’t want to go to the hospital today. Can I stay at home or follow you to work?”

Raiden still felt something was wrong. Hiro was always in a hurry to see his sister. Why didn’t he want to go today? “Did something happen?”

“No!” Hiro exclaimed. He then realised his answer was rushed so he cleared his throat and composed himself. “Nothing happened. I just want to spend more time with you without my sister and brother watching.”

All suspicions flew out of Raiden’s mind instantly. He was delighted to hear that Hiro wanted to spend more time with him. Did that mean that Hiro had started developing feelings for him? He tried not to show his excitement, but his heart was racing within.

"Miss Ling," he called.

The secretary let out a hesitant, "S-Sir?"

"My boyfriend will accompany me to work today. Make arrangements and see to it that he’s comfortable. I do not want to hear a single complaint from him, understand?" Raiden said with a smile.

"Yes, sir!" Miss Ling replied.

Satisfied, Raiden smiled and added, "Do not cancel the meeting. Instead, make a reservation for five."

"Yes, sir!" Miss Ling understood immediately.

Raiden reached out and ruffled Hiro’s soft hair affectionately. He couldn’t help but wonder if this meant that their relationship was about to take a new turn. The possibility of Hiro developing feelings for him made him giddy with joy.

Hiro sipped his tea, happy that he wouldn’t have to see Sora for a while. He was also happy to get to spend more time with Raiden. They were going to be together for an entire year. It would be nice to at least know Raiden better since he never had the chance to in the past. He’s e able to show his Brother just how much Raiden had changed. Besides, going out was better than spending the day at home alone and he didn’t want Raiden cancelling his meetings because of him.

“Is that him? Our Boss’s new boyfriend?”

“I think so. Look look! They’re holding hands!”

“Oh my God!!!!! Boss must be serious about this one!”

“Why do you say so?”

“Boss has never held hands with his past boyfriends before. He usually never lets them visit him at work and he always walks ahead of them if they do.”

“You sure keep a close eye on our boss.”

“Of course! You guys don’t call me the Office know-it-all for nothing.”

The workers burst into a fit of hushed giggles. They were huddled in a corner, speaking in hushed tones as they watched their boss walk into his office hand in hand with a beauty.

One of them sighed dreamily. “Our Boss sure has good taste. Did you see that beautiful boy?”

“I know right. He’s gorgeous.”

"Times like these make me wish I was male. Maybe the Boss would take a second glance at me."

“Are you guys going to stand there ogling our boss or will you get back to work?” They suddenly heard someone say in a strict tone. They all groaned for they already knew who it was.

Miss Endo. The woman who thought too highly of herself just because she was voted the most beautiful woman in the facility.

“Oh Miss Endo, we’re not ogling our Boss. We’re ogling his new boyfriend.” One of the workers said, wearing a teasing smile. “Did you see him? Such a cute little thing.”

“How many times do I have to warn you to stop saying such things about our Boss?” Miss Endo said angrily. “He is not gay.” She hated when her co-workers did that. Whenever they saw the Boss with a good looking male, they immediately conclude that they were in a relationship. As far as she knew, Mr Yamato never came out and she would take him as a straight man until he said otherwise with his own lips.

“Oh girls, look who’s living in dream land.” Another co-worker said and the others snickered. “Miss Endo, your better clean whatever is covering your eyes. Our Boss likes men. Everyone knows it and you just don’t want to accept it because you’re trying to get in his pants.”

Yuna!" Miss Endo shouted, her voice echoing through the office. Her eyes widened in shock and outrage as she felt a wave of indignation wash over her. Her face flushing with embarrassment and anger as the other girls laughed.

“What? It’s true.” Yuna said, unperturbed. “Everyone in this facility knows it. The way you follow him around and slave away at the office just so that he’ll notice you. You work even harder than his own secretary. Not to forget the tight clothes you wear every day. It’s like you’re begging to be noticed.”
