Chapter 243: Parental figures to the rescue!
"Who is them?" Andrew asked, swallowing before Maxwell could witness him drooling over him. He was sure that the other man would like it, he just didn’t want to encourage the man to touch him. Or maybe he wanted to do that.
Andrew’s brain felt like mush as he watched the other man’s tongue dart across his lips, wetting them before he spoke nervously.
"Uh, well, remember how my Mom and Jenny were there with us when we spoke to Michael?" A terrible feeling washed over Andrew as the cars began to make sense, and he feared that he recognised some of them.
"How many of them?" Andrew asked and Maxwell sighed. He stepped back, his hands on the edge of the door and the roof of the car.
"Jenny, Kim, May, Ford, and my parents. We’re lucky. Apparently Rose and Jordan wanted to come, along with Ben and Amir, but both had to decline because they had other obligations. Richard told them no when they asked. May is already in the kitchen with Jenny." Maxwell told him, before he scanned the other man with his gaze. "Are you alright? Did the gym help?" He asked softly and Andrew sighed.
He looked over Maxwell, his expression still tight as he took in the large sweater he was wearing, how it hung on his frame and it looked-
Andrew sucked in through his nose deeply, before Maxwell let out a soft gasp.
"Baby, your eyes are-"
"Is that my sweater?" Andrew interrupted, glad he was still sitting down. He felt he would have cornered Maxwell if he had been standing. Pressing the pretty man against the wall and burying his face against his throat just to inhale his scent. Maxwell’s scent mixed with his because he was wearing his sweater.
"W-Well, you can’t wear it anymore, and-" Maxwell was defending himself. It was cute, and Andrew felt his lips tug up slightly. Maxwell nearly swallowed his tongue, stumbling back as Andrew got to his feet. He forced the other man to step back as Andrew stood at his full height, towering over the other man.
"Just ask, and I’ll cover it in my scent for you." Andrew reached out slowly, keeping his hand visible as he reached up and tugged on the wide neckline. So wide that if Maxwell hadn’t been wearing an undershirt it would have shown off the marks that Andrew had made on him the previous night. Andrew licked his lips, his eyes narrowing in pleasure as he remembered it. "It’s no skin off my back." Andrew whispered and Maxwell inhaled.
"Oh boy." Maxwell whispered. Andrew wasn’t sure what triggered it. If it was the fact that Maxwell hadn’t sworn, or if it was the tone he said the words with. He didn’t sound scared, but more like he was facing a difficult task.
Andrew felt his face crease as he smiled, his chuckle filling his whole chest. Maxwell’s ears were pink as he looked up at Andrew.
"Damn it. This should be illegal. I want to touch you so bad." Maxwell whispered and Andrew clenched his hands into fists.
"You shouldn’t. I might have worked out, but it didn’t get the urges out. You should go on in. I’ll be in shortly. I’m just...going to try to get a reign on these pheromones. I know that I’ll get a lecture from May and Kim both." Andrew told him and Maxwell stared at him silently, before he nodded. He turned, going for the door before he hesitated.
"That thing about your clothes...did you mean it?" Maxwell asked, turning his head to look at him over his shoulder. Andrew groaned.
"Maxy, get that juicy ass out of here before I mark you." Maxwell shivered, gulping, and nodded.
Andrew wondered what his expression looked like for Maxwell of all people to flee. He was sure he looked starved. Hell, he felt starved. He worried if this was how Maxwell felt before his heats. This was fucking awful.
Andrew took off his glasses, resting them on the roof of the car so he could rub his hands over his face. He massaged his temples, pressing his fingers into points that felt tense, hard, and like they were going to cause him a headache later. The few moments helped him relax, get a better hold on himself, before he sighed, slipped his glasses back on and closed the car door, locking it. He headed for the garage door, trying to force his normal happy demeanor, but found that his face just couldn’t do it.
Fuck it. This was who they were getting today. They should be understanding, and if they weren’t, that wasn’t his problem right now.

"Andy. I was worried that someone was going to have to get you. You wouldn’t leave on us, would you?" Kim teased when the garage door opened and Andrew stepped out. A few of them were in the living room, chatting and discussing things. It was Kim, Thomas and Ford. The others were, by process of elimination, in the kitchen.
Andrew tried to make his lips turn up slightly, but it just felt too awkward to do so at the moment and Kim’s lips twitched. Andrew took off his shoes, before bending and picking them up, bringing them to the proper mat before he took off his outside coat.
"Ah, I wouldn’t do that. Leaving Max alone in a house with all of you? Wouldn’t dream of it." Andrew said, and Thomas shifted, having not seen this side of Andrew before. Ford, however, seemed concerned.
"Andy, is something troubling you? You look...hmm." Ford finished, uncertain, while Kim snorted.
"Of course something is troubling him. He could be a father, Ford." Kim cackled, all at Andrew’s expense and Andrew sighed.
"Thanks for being so supportive, Kim." Andrew muttered quietly and that only made her cackle harder.
"Oh, I heard that! It’s all in jest, Andy. I mean no harm. You know I’d support you no matter what decision you and Maxy made. Is that Doctor friend of yours working on getting you better stuff?" She asked and Andrew nodded.
"Yeah. He’s already on it. There is at least one type that is better than what we were using. I’m just hoping it works. I’m terrified now." Andrew admitted and Kim smiled a him kindly, leaning her head back against the edge of the couch from where she sat between the other men.
"Awe. That’s sweet, Andy. I’m sure Maxwell appreciates your concern. Just hold out until the products arrive and after you both get the clean bill of health on Monday, alright? We’ll help as much as we can. Obviously, we are here as a distraction today, and can do this tomorrow and the day after as well. You just let us know." Thomas nodded, along with Ford.
"It’s the weekend, and I’ll give up a weekend of gardening for you, Andy." Ford said. It was a big thing for him to offer, and Andrew felt his shoulders relax. He moved towards him, bending to kiss Ford’s cheek and Ford chuckled. Kim and Thomas seemed surprised by his behaviour. Kim seemed jealous while Andrew smiled at the older man.
"How thoughtful. I’ll discuss it with Maxy before I say yes or no. We were trying to make some plans that kept us out of the house for the weekend already. We’re not idiots, just...starved." Andrew said, his eyes drawing towards the direction of the bedroom with longing. Thomas coughed.
"Why don’t you go get changed and I’ll let the girls know that you are on your way. May said she wanted to speak with you once you got in." Thomas said and Andrew nodded. He understood. Andrew couldn’t help it. His brain was a fog of just Maxwell, but it was still his son. He was sure it was awkward for the other man to consider.
Andrew nodded.
"Sounds good. Keep Maxy away, would you?" Andrew said, his lips turning up slightly, but unaware that his eyes were stark, and glowing amber. Kim chuckled.
"I’ll make sure you don’t eat the man. Now, go get changed into something comfortable. I hear Luis and Thomas brought only a few new outfits for you today." Andrew felt his stomach drop as he slid his gaze to Thomas. Thomas took a sip from his glass, and Andrew realised it was scotch.
"Truly only a few. Didn’t have to reorganise the closet at all." Thomas told him with a smile. Andrew felt his eyebrow twitch before he sighed. It wasn’t worth it. He needed clothes anyways, it would be fine.
"Thank you, Thomas." Andrew muttered and Ford laughed.
"I’m proud you said thank you." Ford called after him as Andrew pulled at his clothes, wanting to get out of this after he’d worked out in some of it.
He sniffed like a bloodhound, making sure Maxwell wasn’t in the room with him before he closed the door behind him and stripped, heading into the closet to see what Thomas and Luis brought over. He groaned. A few, huh? Those damn liars. He didn’t have to wonder where Maxwell got his ability to lie to others from.
