Chapter 294: Profile Status

Any lingering regret about missing class vanished the moment Gara saw his children’s bright smiles and silly antics.

"Yeah... I should really spend more quality time with them," Gara nodded to himself.

Introducing Bel to the triplets personally by himself would also have a better impact than having someone else do it.

Gara looked at his four children, each. When his gaze stopped on Bel, just then, he remembered the Talent Ticket he received as Bel’s birth reward.

Gara opened his status panel.

It had been a long time since Gara last checked his status panel, and he was a little surprised. So many things had changed. Especially compared to his profile two years ago.

His Talents were packed now. Three Bloodlines and four Talents. If people knew, he was sure his title wouldn’t stop at ’Alchemy Genius.’

The number of partners had changed too. "So partner means...the fathers of my children, huh."

The Dimensional Home Pocket was listed under items, along with the Talent Ticket.

"One Talent Ticket isn’t enough for anything. I need three to upgrade Woodland Camouflage. Guess I’ll save it for now."

His eyes drifted to the progress bar: 4/100.

He let out a long sigh. "Looks like my journey is still a long one."

"Huuuu~"

"Huuuff~"

"Hyuuu~"

Gara looked down. His three little troublemakers were imitating his dramatic sigh, but each with their own style.

"I should be happy. That just means I have even more time with all of you."

Gara then opened each of his children’s status panels.

Gara’s brows pulled together, giving him an intense look. A second later, Aldwin smacked him right in the face.

"Aldwin, did Daddy’s expression scare... you?" Gara’s voice shrank as his eyes widened.

Then his gaze dropped —up and down— at Aldwin, who was standing on his own. "You— you can stand by yourself?!"

Gara immediately showered his eldest son’s face with kiss after kiss.

"Daddy knew Aldwin was strong."

To think he had assumed Aldwin might be the weakest among the triplets, simply because he was the only one whose Talent hadn’t activated yet.

"Talents don’t matter. What matters is that all of you grow up healthy and happy."

He didn’t forget to plant kisses on Arion and Ava too, who were clapping excitedly at their big brother’s achievement.

Once their little celebration calmed down, Gara refocused on Arion’s status panel.

"So Beast Speech is part of the Druid Bloodline, huh? And the Talent description only shows up after it activates. ’Can communicate with beasts in both normal and... while invisible?’ Invisible? Is that due to Woodland Camouflage?"

Gara paused, thinking. Only to confuse himself even more. "So does that mean Arion can go invisible or not?" 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

Since he couldn’t figure it out, Gara shifted his attention to Arion’s Level 2 Talent.

"Nature Speech? For someone so quiet, Arion might end up being the one who can talk to literally everything."

He chuckled and gently pinched Arion’s cheek.

"But spirit plants... that means Tree of Life. This world only has two kinds of spirit plants: the Elves’ Sacred Tree, and the Druids’ Tree of Life. But the Sacred Tree has already been swallowed by the mist."

Which meant unlocking Arion’s Level 2 Talent would be a long journey. The Sacred Tree was impossible, leaving only the Tree of Life but...

they would probably die before they ever reached it.

Then, Gara moved on to Ava’s status panel.

"Eh?" Gara blinked hard. "How is a baby supposed to find liars? The system really loves ridiculous requirements."

Pat! Pat! Pat!

Those soft taps made Gara look down, pushing the floating status panel aside from blocking Ava’s face.

"Wait a moment, okay? Daddy will finish checking your status, then we’ll play." Gara tapped her cheek lightly.

But Ava shook her head and pulled Gara’s tapping hand toward her mouth.

When Gara glanced back at her panel, he froze.

[Level 2 – Flame Judgement

Activation Requirement: Find the liar (1/100)]

He instantly covered his mouth. "Did I... accidentally lie just now?"

Gara couldn’t help but laugh quietly. He hadn’t even realized he’d said something untrue, assuming Ava wouldn’t understand anyway.

A lie was still a lie, even the smallest ones. Adults really did lie to children all the time.

"My little princess is going to unlock her second Talent fast, huh."

He kissed the top of Ava’s soft head, then moved on to Bel’s status panel.

Gara was just about to comment on Bel’s Level 1 Talent requirement when Wina appeared from the first floor.

"You’re not having trouble watching all of them by yourself?"

Gara shook his head. "No, Mom. They’re really well-behaved. I’m the luckiest person alive to have kids this smart."

Wina nodded in agreement, then glanced around. "Where’s Rea?"

"Probably in the back forest looking for poisonous plants," Gara answered casually.

He was still focused on Bel’s status panel, while grumbling in his heart.

’Why do the Level 1 requirements always sound like they’re trying to kill the kids? ’Undergo body training until surpassing the body’s limit’?! There’s no way I’m letting something this cute and tiny go through brutal training.’

Gara then looked down at Bel in his arms. ’Your father’s Talent exists to protect Daddy. Now... it’ll protect you too.’

...

The next day, Gara finally got Wina’s permission to attend class again. Yesterday wasn’t bad, but one day of rest was more than enough.

He was still wearing his cloak. After giving birth, his stomach still showed a slight bulge, and his body overall was softer and rounder compared to the figure he usually presented while wearing the cloak.

"I’ll probably keep using this for a few more weeks," Gara muttered.

At least when he found himself unable to use his robe, he wouldn’t have to force himself into this cloak either.

"Don’t push yourself to lose weight," Madha said, slipping an arm around Gara’s waist before kissing his fiancé’s lips. "Take it slow."

Gara nodded. The two of them then stepped out of the room—

—or rather, the three of them. Fian was there as well, silently witnessing the couple’s affection. His expressionless face hid his jealousy well.

The dorm lobby was crowded as usual in the morning, but thanks to Miki’s extraordinary sense of smell, he immediately noticed Gara and hurried over, leaving behind the group of gossipy friends that had been surrounding him.

"Gara, are you okay?" he asked, worried.

Gara nodded. "It’s nothing serious."

Miki let out a long breath of relief. "Because Mona was going around cursing you to death—"

The rat boy slapped a hand over his own mouth. "I mean, she said some not-nice things."

Gara wasn’t surprised. Mona probably assumed he was gravely ill because he could barely walk yesterday, while he had once consumed a poisonous drug but still looked fine.

"Anyway," Miki continued, "thankfully Mona already got expelled. She won’t bother you anymore, Gara."

Gara’s steps stopped abruptly. "Mona was expelled?"

He turned to Fian and Madha.

"Mona was officially expelled from the academy yesterday," Madha explained. "I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want your rest disturbed by remembering anything bad."

"Is it really that easy to get expelled from this academy?" he asked.

Gara wasn’t upset, he was genuinely shocked and curious.

...
