[BL] Mr. Romano Contracted Husband-Chapter 119: A Once In A Lifetime Opportunity
Arcane left his house and headed to the meeting place for the students and teachers. They gathered in a city park where several buses were already waiting.
The students were clearly excited to enjoy the school trip because it would be a wonderful moment before they graduated from school. They had taken their final exams two months earlier, and this trip was the end of their school year.
He walked over and joined the other teachers who had been assigned to supervise the students. Several other teachers were already ready and helping the students load their belongings into the bus luggage compartment.
"Get on one by one according to your groups. Mr. Kanagawa’s, Mr. Gruva’s, and Mrs. Marimar’s groups get on bus one!" Mr. Gruva shouted to the students.
Several other teachers also helped to ensure that none of their students were left behind or had not yet arrived at the area. They checked the students on their group lists, and after taking attendance one by one, luckily no one was missed.
When Arcane had just taken attendance for the students in his group, Kyle came over and smiled because he was happy to be on the same bus as him.
"Have all your students boarded the bus? Is anyone left behind?" he asked softly.
"No, luckily none of the students are sick or anything like that, so everyone in my group is here. You’re on the same bus as me, right? Bus three," said Arcane, then asked him.
The white-haired man nodded, saying that they were indeed on the same bus.
After making sure everyone was present, they boarded bus 3, where Kyle chose to sit next to Arcane. The trip took almost 3 hours, but it didn’t feel that long when they were with their friends.
On the bus, the students joked and laughed with their friends, took photos with each other, and some even sang to entertain the others. The teachers sitting in the back seats also joined in the fun.
"They are very excited for this trip. I heard the place will be really nice, different from last year’s trip," said Kyle, striking up a conversation with Arcane.
"Really? I haven’t had time to find out what the place is like. But if it’s really nice, I think it will be perfect for them to take pictures and capture moments together." Arcane replied, nodding in satisfaction upon hearing this.
Although everyone on the bus was having fun, singing together, and playing games between teachers and students, Arcane’s mind was elsewhere at that moment.
He still remembers how Luna cried this morning because he had to leave. The man was thinking about his husband and their daughter who were at home right now. He knew leaving them for three days and two nights wasn’t a short time. But there was still a sense of worry.
Meanwhile, Kyle was using this opportunity to get closer to Arcane. He felt this was a good chance to spend time with her.
"How is Luna? Is she okay?" he asked.
"Yes, Luna is fine. She’s not a child who throws tantrums or is difficult to manage. She’s quite obedient and cheerful," Arcane replied.
"I’m glad to hear that. Actually, I really want to adopt a child too. But it will definitely be very difficult because Ethan hasn’t given his permission for that. We also haven’t had the chance to discuss this before," said Kyle again, this time sounding very sad.
He felt envious of Julian and Arcane who could adopt a child, while he hadn’t even discussed this with his husband yet. Especially since Ethan was quite busy with his work in construction, which made it impossible for them to talk about this.
Added to that, he was busy teaching all day and Ethan was never home often enough to take care of a child if they did adopt one.
"That’s right. Julian and I feel lucky to have her. The first time we saw her at the adoption center, we knew she was the one we wanted."
After a long journey, the bus finally stopped at a location that had been rented by their school.
The teachers took attendance again and showed the students the rooms they would be staying in.
"We have assigned the rooms where you will sleep and your partners. You are allowed to rest until lunchtime," said one of the teachers leading the school trip.
The students finally dispersed, heading to their rooms with the partners assigned to them by the teachers.
Arcane also ended up in the same room as Kyle and two other teachers who were on the same bus as them.
"I’ll be sleeping with Mr. Vasco. Mr. Romano, are you okay sharing a bed with Mr. Bernard?" asked Mr. Xeno when they were in the room.
Arcane looked at the two beds in the room. They were double beds, where one mattress would be shared by two people. He then looked at Kyle, who was standing nearby, clearly looking embarrassed with a red face.
He really wanted to refuse, but he didn’t want to cause trouble just because of a bed. So he agreed to sleep next to Kyle.
"It’s okay. Besides, there’s nowhere else to go, right?" he said as he placed his bag next to his bed.
Meanwhile, Kyle immediately walked over to his side of the bed and turned to look at Arcane, who was sitting on the other side. His heart was pounding so hard, thinking that tonight he would be sleeping right next to that man.
’Sleeping right next to him... I hope I don’t try to cuddle up to him while sleeping. That would be so embarrassing,’ he thought at that moment.
Arcane’s green eyes glanced at Kyle, his gaze looking so cold. It was a gaze he had never shown anyone before, because he was very good at controlling his facial expressions even when he was unhappy about something.
As Kyle tried to reach for his hand, which was also on the mattress not far from his own, Arcane suddenly stood up from where he was sitting and took out his cell phone.
Without looking back, he walked straight toward the balcony not far from the bed.
This left the white-haired man slightly disappointed, but he tried not to say anything and began taking off his shoes to rest.
"Tonight... It’s going to be fun."
