[BL] Mr. Romano Contracted Husband-Chapter 124: You’re My Savior
Everyone panicked when they found Kyle unconscious and collapsed at the site. They knew that he had been exhausted when climbing the hill. However, they did not expect him to collapse after reaching the top.
"Do something! We have to get him down from here immediately so he can get better treatment!" said one of the teachers to the others.
However, none of them seemed capable of carrying Kyle’s body, even though he was small. They were afraid that they wouldn’t be strong enough to get down the hill while carrying someone, and that would only make things worse.
Until their gaze turned to Arcane, who was standing right behind them, without saying a word. He was actually trying to avoid them so he wouldn’t have to carry Kyle down the hill. However, they immediately turned to him as if they had been waiting for him.
"Mr. Romano! Can you help carry him? We have to get down the hill and take him back to the inn right away. I’m worried things will get worse if we don’t do it soon!"
Since they seemed to be waiting for him, Arcane had no choice but to do it. They felt like Arcane was closer to Kyle, so shouldn’t he be the one who cared more about the man?
’How could they depend on me to carry him down? Just because I’m close to him, they think I’ll care more?’ he thought angrily.
Finally, he carried Kyle on his back and went down the hill. Several teachers also accompanied him, while the other students remained there according to their schedule.
It took 15 to 20 minutes for them to arrive back at the inn and lay Kyle on his bed. They also called the doctor who was staying at the inn to check on him.
"He’s just exhausted. He’ll wake up soon. Give him some warm tea and bread to regain his strength," said the doctor before leaving the room.
Sure enough, it didn’t take long for the white-haired man to wake up from his faint, his body feeling weak and his head dizzy. He looked at his pain, realizing that he was currently in his hotel room.
"How did I get here?" he asked in confusion, then a female teacher came up to him and patted his shoulder.
"Are you feeling better? You fainted while you were at the peak. So we brought you back down to the inn, and the doctor said you were exhausted." She explained the situation so Kyle wouldn’t feel confused.
"If I fainted at the hill, does that mean you carried me here?"
She nodded her head, replying that Arcane had done it. Knowing this, Kyle’s heart raced as he thought about how Arcane cared so much for him that he had immediately carried him down the hill. Although in reality, the man had been forced to do so because they had ordered him to.
"Then where is he now? I have to thank him for helping me down." Kyle asked with a happy face, eager to see Arcane.
"He’s outside. As far as I remember, he said he wanted to get some fresh air around the lake next to the inn. If you want to talk to him, just wait until he comes back. The doctor advised you to stay in bed and rest," she replied.
He could only nod his head, following the doctor’s advice and resting while recharging his energy with a piece of bread.
When it was time for lunch, Arcane returned to the room to rest for a while before eating. It turned out that Kyle was alone in the room.
’I knew he’d still be here. I hope he doesn’t say something that makes me regret coming back to the room,’ he thought.
"Arcane, you’re finally back! I’ve been waiting for you," he said softly.
"You were waiting for me? You should have just rested instead of waiting for me to come back. Besides, why did you have to wait for me?" Arcane asked him in return.
He gave up his intention to lie down and rest for a moment, seeing that Kyle was still there. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
"I just want to thank you for carrying me down the hill. Ms. Flora said that you carried me down. I’m sorry for troubling you." Kyle smiled gently at him and thanked him.
While he was waiting alone for Arcane to return, he realized that it was Arcane who had carried him down. In the midst of his unconsciousness, Kyle had regained a little consciousness and felt someone carrying him. But at first, he thought it was just a dream and didn’t think much of it.
But in reality, it was indeed Arcane who had carried him down.
"It’s nothing. Besides, if you hadn’t been carried down immediately, something worse could have happened. That’s why I carried you after they asked me to," Arcane replied honestly.
He didn’t want there to be any misunderstanding between himself and Kyle, especially if it made the man think that he had offered to do it himself.
Knowing that Arcane had done it because he was told to by another teacher, Kyle felt a sense of disappointment. But he quickly pushed that feeling aside and remained grateful for the help.
The man stood up from the bed, walked over to Arcane, and stood in front of him. It seemed like he still had something to say, but Arcane cut him off before he could speak.
"It’s lunchtime now. We’d better go join the others instead of keeping them waiting. Plus, the doctor said you need to recharge your energy, and lunch is definitely one way to do that," he said.
"I understand. Then we can go there together," Kyle replied, nodding his head.
The two of them then left the room together, heading to the dining room for lunch. However, Kyle, who still felt so weak, walked too slowly behind Arcane.
His face even looked pale again, though not as pale as before.
Actually, he didn’t want to pay too much attention to Kyle, but if he left him alone, the other teachers would surely see him as someone who was cold and had no compassion.
He had to maintain his image as a good teacher at school.
"Do you need help?" he asked as he walked back towards him.
Kyle looked at him, though he felt embarrassed to ask for his help. But he had no other choice. He nodded his head, asking Arcane to hold his hand.
"Thank you."
As soon as she took her hand out, Kyle’s cold hand immediately grabbed it and they walked together to the dining room.
In the dining room, when they entered the room, several female students immediately glanced at the two of them walking hand in hand. Some didn’t really care, thinking that Kyle was probably doing it because he was still sick.
However, some of the other girls found the sight so sweet, especially since they were often seen together.
Especially those who secretly hoped they would end up together.
"I told you they looked so sweet together, didn’t I?"
