The elder flinched at the souring mood around him, and he quickly decided to back down and agree.

"Fine. I guess there is no point in damaging my product so early. Sasha, take him to the room and make sure he recovers quickly. Then I can have my fun."

The elder spoke without hesitation.

Shuu felt disgust starting to creep up as he watched the elder, but before he could show it, someone rested their hand on his arm and forced him to move.

He looked to his side, only to see the female who had told him that she would help. She slowly took him out of the room, and the guard who carried Rin followed.

They reached another room with a strange-looking bed and a cozy interior.

Sasha gestured for the guard to put Rin down on the bed and then gestured for him to leave the room.

The guard looked uncomfortable, but he decided to follow the orders given to him in the end.

The female let out a sigh of relief as soon as she was alone with Shuu, and her whole attitude changed the second that man was gone.

Cold eyes were filled with concern, and Sasha immediately reached out to place a hand on Shuu’s shoulder.

He unconsciously took a step back to avoid that hand, but his injury did not allow him to move much. Sasha’s hand landed on his shoulder, and the female looked at Shuu with eyes filled with sympathy.

"I know that this is all hard for you, child. But try to endure it all. Now that you are here and that old fool has his eyes on you, you no longer have another future. But life won’t be that bad here... as long as you know how to pretend to fall for the old man."

Sasha assured Shuu, but he did not feel comfortable with her explanation.

He still had no idea where he was or what had happened. All he knew was that he died one second, and then he ended up coming here.

Sasha felt like someone he could trust, so Shuu decided to rub his forehead and ask her what was going on.

Sasha asked, pointing toward Rin, and Shuu nodded.

"I am Shuu, and that kid is Rin. He’s... important to me."

That made Sasha shake her head, and she closed her eyes in a thinking manner.

"Alright, what else do you recall? Do you know where we are?"

Shuu paused, but he quickly shook his head as he realized that he had no idea what the answer to this question was.

"Hmm, so that’s all you recall? What a mess... Are you even a guide anymore? Can you guide someone?"

Sasha asked, and Shuu shook his head.

"I don’t know. I-I have never guided anyone before. How do I check-?"

Someone knocked on the door before Shuu was finished asking. It was the doctor, who quickly walked over to Sasha as she explained the situation.

The doctor looked sorry for Shuu and held his hand out.

"I am a medical-type esper. However, there is no power in this world that can heal the mind. I can try and see if I can affect your memories in any way."

The man promised, and Shuu handed him his hand.

He saw the man doing something, but nothing happened to his body. It was the same one with pains and a broken leg as before.

The doctor looked shocked as well, and he pulled away with a surprised look on his face.

"Huh-! This is weird...! M-My power is not working on you at all. Just what are you...?"

The doctor asked in a shocked voice as he let go of Shuu’s arm and took a step back. The doctor looked like he almost fell asleep before he caught himself at the last second.

Shuu gave the doctor a blank gaze, not knowing how to answer him at this moment.

What could he even say that would make this situation any better? That he forgot? Or that he was not of this world?

"Huh-? What do you mean abilities do not work on him? Is that even possible? Then how do we treat him-?"

Sasha questioned, and the doctor sighed.

The doctor said, and his power quickly healed Rin at least.
