Shinra held up two cards. He was playing with one of the souls that lingered around. He dropped a card and said:

Stellar sighed again, rubbing her head with a towel. 「 I think it may be even longer... 」

Acheron changed the angle of the bird so Morena wouldn’t sense any magic from it.

’Okay then, Ophelia prepare the spell... I’ll use the fragment to touch Arlo’s body.’

『 Alright, give me a moment! 』Ophelia raised both her hands and began to cast the chant.

Soon, shadows started to lurk around the place Acheron and her team stayed.

The monsters no longer sensed the evil entity that terrorized them over and over. Hence, making them come to feed on weak looking humans.

The Runic Eye had long been destroyed by the several waves of power Morena emitted during her descent.

The professors tried to enter to stop it... But the dungeon was sealed shut until they defeated the boss.

Alackster sensed the presence of the monsters first, turning as he counted how many they were.

"Twelve ice goblins..." He tapped on William’s shoulder.

"Yeah, I sense them too."

Alackster smiled and set off to attack. "Then let’s go wild!"

Alackster vanished in a flash.

"Stay with him... We’ll be right back." William said to Dalia as he also took off.

As they fought the monsters, Acheron used Author’s View to check their stats.

The ice goblins endlessly came out of the shadows. The more Alackster and William killed, the more that came out.

One goblin got past them and headed for Acheron’s direction in rage.

However, as it neared her... She smiled.

The goblin wanted to attack her but it was hesitant to even go near her... For some reason it felt indebted to her.

The goblin’s head fell off, behind it, Alackster’s wind spear slammed deep into the ice floor.

He winked at her and continued his assault.

Acheron walked towards Arlo and Dalia, then she bent down to pretend to check on Arlo.

"Oh dear, how are you?" She said in a sweet tone.

But this time she felt bitter towards Arlo... Or rather Morena.

"You can go help them out, Dalia... I’ll look over him." Acheron said.

Dalia smiled and got up. "Alright then... Be back in a jiffy!"

After she left... Acheron turned her attention to Arlo fully. "Arlo dear..." She said, showing her lustful expression as she licked her tongue in a strange way.

"Would you mind turning your back? There is something clinging to your robe."

Morena hesitated. Acheron was weird, strange and most of all... Unpredictable. For a normal human to have a being that can summon such a monster.

Either she was an Eternal Mage in secret... Or a god that kept other gods.

"Uh... Sure" Morena said, trying not to blow her cover.

Acheron hummed inwardly as a signal to Ophelia.

A small flesh like substance appeared in Acheron’s palm.

As Morena turned, she dropped it on Arlo’s neck.

The fragment sank deep into his skin, absorbing itself instantly.

Morena felt the substance sink into Arlo’s body and spun around holding her neck. "What did you do to me?!"

Acheron’s lustful smile widened even more. "I didn’t do anything... Morena."

Morena instantly understood the scenario. Acheron had been pretending all along while knowing she was the one.

"Tsk... You are not normal."

"Well, I am not an idiot." Acheron leaned backwards.

Morena tried to break free from Arlo’s body but the binding spell did its work, keeping her still.

She snarled in frustration. "What the hell did you do to me?!"

"Sighs~ I didn’t do anything... Extreme, hehehe." Acheron giggled.

"You sicko! Undo what you did now!" Morena said in anger. "Or I’ll kill this precious friend of yours."

"You can try... Then you die too... The binding agent I used to keep you locked in his body was your own flesh... So yes, you are going to die if you kill him."

"Ahhhh!" Morena groaned. "What do you want with me!"

"Nothing much... I know you are aware we came to clear this dungeon... And we might need help when we enter the final boss, so we would need you to help defeat it."

"Tsk... You do have a chance" However, Morena knew with full certainty that Acheron would defeat the final boss with ease if she were to bring out that summon.

Acheron watched her in excitement as she contemplated on what to do.

Morena finally gathered up her thoughts and faced Acheron for an answer.

"What’s in it for me?"

"Hmm... I will set you free into a world."

’Into a world? I knew it, this girl is not a normal human... Wait human? This girl is not a normal being! She must be a god of some sort...’ Morena looked at Acheron in a cautious gaze.

"Alright... I accept."

"Yay!" Acheron celebrated in excitement.

"But answer me this first... What are you?" Morena asked in curiosity.

Acheron paused in her celebrations and turned to answer what she felt like was a strange question.

And so she gave a strange answer.

"I am a human... A normal human being."
