Captured By The Cold Detective (BL)-Chapter 651: Mr. Little Pig
The tension in the air intensified even before the session started. The aura belonging to a mutated Omega and a superior Alpha clashed fiercely, it was akin to a fierce battle between a tiger and a vulture. The two of them did not even release their pheromones, yet the doctor in charge already felt weak on his knees.
Their conversation went on like this:
"Name?"
"..."
"Not willing to answer? Hehe, fine. I will address you however I please, then. How about ’Little Pig’?" Tak Jung-Hwa rested his chin on his palm and began to sing with his deep and melodious voice, though the mockery in his tone couldn’t be more apparent. "Little pig, little pig, let me in. Not by the hair of my chinny, chin, chin... do you know that song? Well, you look like a boring guy, so you probably wouldn’t know it. Huh? Let’s move on to the next question. Age?"
Luo Xuan’s grip on the blanket tightened as veins throbbed in his forehead. He tried to take a deep breath to alleviate the tightness in his chest to no avail.
Tak Jung-Hwa clearly wasn’t the first superior Alpha he had a beef with, nor was he the first annoying person he had to confront. As a leader of an infamous mafia organization, Luo Xuan had had his fair share of sickening bastards to deal with. Moreover, if they were talking about being obnoxious, who could have won against Ku Jin?
So yeah, his point was— Tak Jung-Hwa wasn’t the first guy who provoked his ire, but he just did not know why... every aspect of the man, from his gaze to the sneering curve of his lips and his mere presence, they all grated on his nerves like never before! Not once had Luo Xuan felt such an intense, murderous urge to wipe the smile off someone’s face!
"Age," Tak Jung-Hwa prompted once again, growing impatient. "Hey, Mr. Little Pig, if you keep this on, don’t blame me for resorting to drastic measures."
"Heh," Luo Xuan stifled a chuckle as he showed a challenging look. "Drastic measure? What could you possibly do? In the first place, I wasn’t informed about any of this, so what gives you the right to demand my cooperation?"
Tak Jung-Hwa blinked slowly, then a disbelieving laugh escaped him. He shook his head, "Wow... I’ve never seen a criminal so full of himself. Do you even realize what kind of situation you’re in? At best, you will receive twenty years of imprisonment. At worst, you will be sentenced to death. And you still dare to run your mouth as you please?"
That threat sounded so adorable in Luo Xuan’s ears that he couldn’t hold back his laughter. Even then, his brown eyes remained icy cold, like the unthawed surface of a lake in the peak of winter. "After everything I’ve done to get to this point, do you think I still fear death? What a naïve agent you are." Without giving a chance for the other person to respond, Luo Xuan turned to the doctor and requested, "I feel uncomfortable being in the same room as a superior Alpha. Please send him out and invite another officer."
Startled at being cued out of nowhere, the doctor stuttered, "A–Another?"
"Yes," Luo Xuan replied. "Someone who will not resort to petty threats, who knows how to conduct an interrogation properly... Come to think of it," he suddenly said. "Isn’t there a male omega in the team? I think I will feel more comfortable—"
"Ha..." Tak Jung-Hwa burst out into a loud guffaw, interrupting him mid-sentence. "Hahahaha!"
He tossed the clipboard on the nightstand and rose to his feet, his tall frame towering over Luo Xuan who remained seated on the bed. Pure mirth danced in his eyes. "I understand now. You want him to come, don’t you? XIU’s omega."
The corner of Luo Xuan’s eye twitched, and that minute reaction did not go unnoticed by Tak Jung-Hwa whose smile widened until he was almost beaming ear-to-ear. Stepping forward, he placed his hand on the bed railing and leaned down so that their eyes were almost at the same eye-level. "What a cunning trick..." he clicked his tongue. "But well, I can’t say that I’m impressed. Can you not be so easy to read?"
Luo Xuan furrowed his brows at the uncomfortably close proximity. Even though Tak Jung-Hwa kept his pheromones tightly controlled, his mere presence alone was enough to make Luo Xuan uneasy. "Step back," he hissed, glaring daggers.
"Mr. Tak—" the doctor began, but Tak Jung-Hwa withdrew before the man could say anything.
"Aigoo, loosen up, will you?" He released a loud sigh and settled onto his chair again. "Unfortunately, I can’t fulfill your wish. You see, I’m an official agent dispatched by the Interpol to catch you, so who else will be more suitable to question you than me? Let me tell you one thing, you can ask for anyone else, but not that omega. Why? Because XIU is keeping him occupied at the moment. If you had requested this three or four days ago, you might have been able to see him. But now, XIU is in the police bureau, and we would be foolish to let him go just like that."
The more Tak Jung-Hwa thought about it, the funnier the situation seemed to him, and he couldn’t help but laugh again. "Has he seen this coming? That’s why he was adamant on keeping his omega to his side, within his eyesight? Tsk tsk, what a protective fellow."
"What... did you just say?" Luo Xuan gazed at him in sheer disbelief and incredulity. "XIU and the police are...?"
Are you insane?! That’s impossible! was written across his eyes. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
He knew how much XIU despised the police. They had swept his parents’ murder case under the rug, and since then, the Alpha had avoided them like a plague. And now Tak Jung-Hwa was telling him that XIU willingly went to the police bureau... for what? For that omega?
"It seems like you don’t know him as well as you think," Tak Jung-Hwa remarked with a hint of sympathy and schadenfreude. "Sometimes, it takes a single person to change someone, you know."
Beep—beep—!
The shrill alarm of the heartbeat monitor pierced the air, prompting the doctor to spring into action. "Mr. Luo!" He rushed toward Luo Xuan, who looked like he was about to descend into madness. He shouted at the guards, "Help me pin him down!"
"XIU—!!!"
Luo Xuan’s eyes were bloodshot as he let out an enraged cry. It took three guards to restrain him so that the doctor could administer a tranquilizer.
Until the end, you’re resolved to go against me, aren’t you? I won’t forgive you. I will never forgive you!!
