"This is really my day!" Henry exclaimed in his head, having seen all his rewards. He received extra because he had managed to accept the event 1st day quest before leveling up.

"Valuable huh? he muttered. "Well, i can deal with that later! For now, let’s check out the good stuff," Henry grinned while rubbing his hands together and focusing deeply on the rest of the usual and familiar info on the system screen.

"This is too generous, a legendary equipment! If the internet is correct, there are only about 15 legendary items in the world," Henry exclaimed with an excitement that quickly disappeared after fully understanding the message

"But it’s useless for now," he sighed. "I will have to equip it later and make a connection or something," he muttered and lay on the bed before opening his inventory

"Alright... reveal mystery item!" Henry ordered after a slight yawn. He was feeling sleepy already and his eyes were heavy, but what the system displayed next erased every ounce of sleep in him

Henry was smiling widely, he was excited and ecstatic. "First a legendary weapon and now a portal to another planet! All these are items that the world doesn’t even have yet," he stated. The world indeed hadn’t discovered the means of using portals to travel across the galaxy, even though the portals that bring galactic beasts have been appearing for years, the humans had not managed to understand it.

"And the government... Triad doesn’t seem to be interested in exploring space, i wonder why? But this system is being a lot generous, i hope it won’t take everything back tenfold," Henry pondered with a worried look

"Nah! It’s probably a Christmas present that came early," he shrugged off the bad feelings and thought some more about his new gift

"If i let the world know about the portal, there would be turmoil, and besides i don’t even know where it might lead to... But I will have to find out someday," he thought

"I can worry about all this later, I’m really sleepy and tomorrow is my first day of training with mum," he sighed, remembering what Wallace had told him just before he entered his room. Apparently Felicity wanted to begin training with Henry the next day and she mandated that he received the message, which proved that she meant business.

Come to think of it, she was sleepy as well, i bet it’s that chicken..." Henry muttered before yawning, he was clearly tired and his eyes were getting slightly red but he couldn’t sleep.

He was too excited to sleep, no one would receive a legendary item and at the same time possess a device that nobody else in the world had, something that was literally considered non-existent, and would then think about sleeping.

But Henry had no choice, he had to sleep. Felicity had ordered that he be awake by 7am. He didn’t exactly know what kind of training Felicity would engage him with but he didn’t want to be late and find out the hard way.

"Open status," he muttered. And immediately, the system screen popped up

"Good..." Henry whispered and closed his eyes, slowly leaving the waking world.

A man sat calmly in a restaurant, his eyes fixed on the holographic screen projected by his bracelet. The screen displayed a stream of information, but the man’s attention was not on the data. Instead, he was covertly monitoring two men who sat a few tables away from him. This was Xavier and he had been stalking the two men for a while now, believing that they were a lead in his current conquest.

The two men were dressed in casual attire, trying to blend in with the other patrons. But the man’s trained eyes had picked up on their seemingly suspicious behavior.

One of the men had a short green hair styled with an undercut while the other had long black hair. They both looked dangerous with tattoos on their necks and forearms, but what really caught Xavier’s attention was the tattoo of a circle that was almost fully shaded, leaving the shape of a crescent in it. This was either thetattoo of a normal shaded circle or the tattoo of an... Eclipsed sun.

The eclipsed sun was the symbol of dark dawn as it symbolised darkness in the morning. And these two men both had the tattoos at the back of their neck, which prompted Xavier to stalk them.

Now they could just be some random people who simply fancies the tattoo style andknow nothing about the ODD, or they could be the real deal. Xavier really hoped that it was the latter but he was starting to have doubts as he had been following the duo for several hours now and they seemed casual.

"I must be losing my mind, what am I even doing? Assuming innocent people as terrorists just because of some dumb tattoo," he sighed deeply

"I’ve had enough for today anyway, time to leave," he muttered and prepared to leave the restaurant. But before he could stand up, the men he was stalking suddenly rose to their feet and left the restaurant hurriedly.

Xavier furrowed his brow. "Why did they suddenly leave in a hurry?" he thought and stood up, before walking out of restaurant as well.vWhen Xavier got out, he could still see the duo clearly, they were heading towards a nearby park.

"Should I follow them?" he contemplated, watching as the two men moved discreetly through the street and entered the park.

"Ah, fuck it," he muttered and began moving in the direction of the park, having made a decision. He quickly walked across the street and entered the park as well, making sure to stay out of sight while trailing the men.

As Xavier followed the men through the park, it became clear that they were taking a route with some deliberation, trying to avoid main paths and keeping to the shadows. There was a sense of purpose in their movements; each of them scanned the surroundings, as if they were looking for something or someone.

A gut feeling was telling Xavier that this was bad. These fellows looked at the tattoo parlor more for what they seemed to want to be doing, as men on a mission. He upped his gait, careful not to close too fast and blow his cover.

They took him deeper into the park, toward an area that was rather secluded and heavily foliage-around. Xavier felt his heart pound as it dawned on him that this was a risk he took by following them. What if they were indeed members of the Dark Dawn organization? What if they discovered him on their tail?

As he did, the men suddenly stopped, cocking their heads to one side as if they listened for something. Xavier froze, holding his breath, straining to hear what they were listening to.

And then, faintly, he heard it too-the rustling of leaves, followed by the soft murmur of voices. The men nodded to each other, and then they melted into the shadows, disappearing from view.

A/Q: Sorry about not updating in a long time, i had to pause and connect this novel to the new novel I’m working on for the WSA. Anyway I’m back now with continous updates and i will even be updating two Chapters daily, so happy reading.
