CEO Ex-Husband, Don't Bother Me-Chapter 13: Bless Him
Actually, Naomi Shaw and Lara Nash were both Syanese. They had come to Thailos with their fathers, so they were fluent in both Syanese and Thailosian. Although Lara was the daughter of the King of Gamblers, she was very down-to-earth, which was why Naomi had been able to become friends with her.
Seeing her like this, Lara Nash quickly ran over.
"Naomi, what’s wrong? Why are you so downcast so early in the morning?"
She shook her head.
"I’m fine..."
Lara was sharp. Considering Naomi had told her about her feelings for Julian Donovan just the night before, she had a good idea what was going on. She turned to Ronan Joyce and said,
"Ronan, I’m going to stay with Naomi for a bit. You head to class first; I’ll find you later!"
Ronan Joyce gave Lara an adoring look, then turned and left. Watching their affectionate interaction, Naomi Shaw felt her eyes begin to sting.
Lara led her by the hand to a secluded bench on campus. Naomi took off her large glasses, revealing her red, swollen eyes, and said sadly,
"Lara, he doesn’t like me. He said he already has someone he likes back in Syan..."
Lara was furious.
"A girl like you—sweet, adorable, and kind—and he has the nerve to not like you? I’m telling you, that Julian Donovan must have a screw loose!"
Lara had a fiery way of speaking. Naomi protested weakly,
"Hey, Lara, why are you talking about him like that? You can’t force feelings, can you?"
Lara shot her an exasperated look.
"He treated you like that, and you’re still defending him? I swear, I don’t know what to do with you!"
Naomi’s face crumpled pitifully at Lara’s words. Lara suddenly leaned in with a mischievous grin.
"Why don’t you go after him? Didn’t you say he and that girl are separated for now? Just strike while the iron is hot and win him over!"
"Huh?"
Naomi was so shocked by the suggestion she almost died, and she quickly waved her hands in refusal.
"No way! If he doesn’t like me, then so be it. As long as he can be happy, I’ll just wish him the best!"
’Her, go after him? No, she would never. She was content just to watch him from a distance and quietly care for him. She wouldn’t be like other women, pestering him relentlessly.’
"Look how scared you are! What’s wrong with going after him? If you like someone, you should fight for them!"
Lara persistently tried to convince her, but Naomi just shook her head adamantly. Dejected, Lara changed the subject.
"Alright, forget it. Let me ask you something serious. Why don’t you move out of the dorms with me?"
She was lively and cute; he was calm and composed. They should have been a perfect match, but because of her family’s opposition, he had to cruelly break up with her and swore never to set foot in Thailos again... Anyone want to read this tragic story? Haha, I’ve been so fickle lately, always drawn to new things.
"Huh? Why move out? Aren’t the dorms perfectly fine?"
Naomi was confused. Lara scooted closer, a rare look of shyness on her face.
"Oh, come on. You know Ronan and I are in love. When you’re together, you inevitably have... *those* kinds of needs. It’s so inconvenient in the dorms, and we can’t just go to a hotel every day!" 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Naomi’s face turned red.
"Lara, you... you..."
