Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 85: The kiss and the twins - III
They fell into a series of events that Evelyn did not bother moving away from. Instead she did exactly what the twins wanted you because they were the perfect distraction of the moment.
The twins sat in their individual high chairs. One was next to her and one was next to Salvatore.
Evelyn wanted because of the fact that there were plates placed in front of them would they have to feed the children or The children reliable enough to eat on their own?
"What did you make for lunch, uncle salvi?" Alessia asked as she swung her legs back and forth in the high chair. The little baby looked rather cute sitting in such a high chair.
"Unfortunately this time I did not have enough time to prepare food for you. I will prepare dinner on Saturday, how about that?" It was amazing to Evelyn house Salvatore spoke the truth but also swifty provided a solution to the child so that she won’t be bothered by it.
"Auntie eve?"
Evelyn turned to look at the little girl next to her. Did she just call Evelyn auntie eve?
With a small tilt to the side of her head, Alessia asked, "When is Saturday?"
"Tomorrow." Evelyn answered before her eyes moved to the butler who was bringing in food with the chef.
It was a classic Italian dinner which surprisingly the children enjoyed. With the luxury that was probably provided to the Alessandro and Rosario children Evelyn wondered how in the world were they so down to earth and made no fuss in eating.
"You can retire for the night." Salvatore said softly to the butler who nodded and disappeared.
Marco was awfully silent when he wanted it to be but from his eyes Evelyn could see disapproval when he wanted to show it.
She was like the perfect Butler she had ever seen. He knew what was going on inside the house without making his presence known.
Noticing the young girl who was sitting next to her Evelyn smiled at the sauce monster. "Here," she gave Alessia a small warning before taking the napkin and wiping her face. Which practically was of no use because with one more bite Alessia had the same sauce face she did before.
Evelyn let out a hearty chuckle but stiffened immediately when she felt something brush up her feet.
She glanced at Vittorio who was sitting in front of her. No way the boy could reach down and brush her legs with his.
She gulped. So it obviously has to be one man that was sitting in the head chair. Did Salvatore duet purposely for her attention? Even if needed, should she look at him and give him attention? No she should not. Because it seemed that she would just be validating that. If he wanted to talk to her or call for her attention, Salvatore could very well take her name.
But if she did not look at him then she would be blatantly ignoring the don and that could be murderous for her.
In the end, Evelyn just paid attention to the young girl sitting next to her. Salvatore could certainly not say anything whenever he was just paying attention to his niece.
Salvatore held his chuckle inside. It was highly comical to see Evelyn trying to ignore him. With the blushing face and hard to ignore ise that were purposely looking away from him Salvatore barely held in his laughter.
Purposely leaning back on the chair, he stretched his leg a little and brushed his feet with hers. The moment his feet touched Evelyn’s, she jumped into the air making the plate clank against the table loudly.
"Uh. . Uhm. . " She cleared her throat as she looked around at everyone for the little slip-up she had. Everyone being the twins and not Salvatore. She was still trying to ignore his presence.
Whilst doing that she looks awfully cute. It was like a child trying to hide himself from the presence of his parents by doing something naughty.
Evelyn cleared her throat loud enough for everyone to hear, "Sorry." She whispered before going back to eating.
He leaned forward on the table and covered his mouth with the back of his hand before letting a smile slip.
Aaj the movement Salvatore was not sure for how long he could go on before laughing in her face. Evelyn was like that fidgety person who would jump at everything and especially the blush on her face.
Sometimes it made him itch to make sure that it was because of him and nobody else was involved in her blushing.
But then the reality came forward. He did not on Evelyn anyway, even though as much as he wanted to do it he did not on her which is why he had to hold back no matter what.
Salvatore kept an eye on her and how she behaved with the kids around. Evelyn in no way was a natural mother. She was uncomfortable with the children and did not make any move to coddle them which made him slightly worried but in the end he noticed that as much as awkward she was, Evelyn was not clueless.
She let the children eat on their own until she found the need to intervene. It was something Bella Rosa did as well. She loved the children to death but did not find the need to coddle them unless it was needed.
He could not just take his eyes off of her. It became slightly difficult to do so.
In his life Salvatore had seen beautiful women, much more beautiful than Evelyn and renowned faces that were all over the world. Yet it was something about that freckled face of Evelyn that made him feel attracted to her. The clumsy moments she had along with the awkwardness she felt and made others feel around her. He wondered if she did that on purpose just to avoid confrontation.
Should he let her go?
If he let Evelyn go then it would be like sand slipping past his fingers. If held tight enough the sand would be held in, yet if loosened slightly it would be never seen again.
Evelyn was in the protection of her family and if she married inside the family it would be perfect for her. Not only with the protection be bound for her by word but also by relation.
From what Bella Rosa told him she had not been interested in Aldo because if she had evidence would have been married by now. And if she had not been married by now then his father would not have received the word for Evelyn’s protection rather it would have gone to the Mancini family.
He narrowed his eyes on her.

The children had begun to watch the television again when Evelyn and Salvatore decided to clean the table. Since the don had given a leave to his help, it only came to the two of them to clear the table or otherwise they would have to stay here until the morning.
Cleaning up for something Salvatore had no problem in. A part of his lifestyle was cleaning up the mess that was made both by others and then by him. That was something that his father made him do himself.
According to Angelo if Salvatore needed to get something clean he had to learn how to clean by himself first. That was only how he would be able to give orders to someone that they would understand.
Evelyn and him were both in the kitchen. She was loading the plates in the dishwasher while he was standing against the counter watching her.
It was a site that he could get used to. With his own children sitting watching television he and Evelyn were in the kitchen. . .
He pushed against the counter before standing up and walking towards her. He stopped right behind her.
There was distance in between them but that distance was enough for her to feel his body heat which made Evelyn still immediately.
"Evelyn?" He whispered standing behind her.
Evelyn shivered slightly.
"Are you sure you don’t have feelings for Aldo?"
"Aldo?" She whispered and turned her head to the side.
The name of that man alone from her mouth main Salvatore clench his fists. He hated the fact that she took another man’s name in his presence when she was not claimed by him.
"Yes." Salvatore masked his emotions very well before saying that. He did not want to scare her any more than he already had.
"No, I don’t, don." Her words were barely above but Salvatore had everything loud and clear.
Her words immediately calm him down. It was as if his body was on fire and the water washed him down from it.
"And me, Evelyn?" He asked the million-dollar question. "What do you think about me?"
Regardless of what Evelyn answered, Salvatore had a plan in mind which was not going to fail him.
